Chapter 89

After another twenty minutes, Lucian looked in the mirror and realized he had finally stopped wailing. He grinned tiredly as he sat on the couch with his legs crossed. The world was new and magical, yet it also had an unsettling feel to it. Despite the fact that he was still getting acclimated to everything, he was confident in his ability to achieve in the end. He grabbed some food from one of the coolboxes and two books from the shelf that looked interesting before he felt like a large weight had been lifted off his chest. Both novels were historical in nature, he then rolled into a ball, resumed reading, and then returned to his cozy little couch where he had been sitting.

When Lucian emerged from the chamber he had been locked in, it was almost time for dinner. He'd been trying to learn how to shape the metal by tinkering with it while reading at the same time.
