Chapters. 6 Megant Monster Attacks Sarah's Engagement Party

In the morning, Sean woke up with his body in better condition than before. On his watch, there was a picture of a samurai. The weapon he had chosen last night. Sean gripped his hand firmly. His face was full of confidence. With this weapon he was sure he could kill more monsters. Because there was no need to be afraid of running out of bullets.

"Sean you're awake. How are you doing now?" asked Claudia who was also awake.

"Much better than before," Sean replied confidently. He stood up and jumped up and down with a happy face. Meanwhile, Claudia and the others just looked at Sean confused.

The day was getting later. The sun was very hot. This also made the monsters not show themselves and chose to hide in the nest they had built in the tallest building in the city. Sean and the others stared in horror at the mound of earth that towered high into the sky. 

"Is that where they gathered?" asked one soldier as he stared at the mound of earth. In fact, it was quite a distance from where they were standing. However, because the Monster's lair was so large and tall, it could be seen from all over the city. 

"I think so," replied the commander.

"If the worker ants are that big. What about their queen?" said another. Sean was silent. He was thinking about that too. 

"Never mind. We'll think about that later. Right now we better get to a safe place to protect this girl," Claudia said, distracting them. They nodded in agreement. Then Sean led the way to get to the basement that was seen in the paper given by the professor yesterday.

It didn't take long for them to reach the place.

"Are you sure this is the place you're talking about?" asked the commander as he looked at the many colorful flowers blooming in the garden. 

"Yes," Sean replied. He cast his eyes around.

'There must be a key to the underground room. But what is the key?' Sean thought. His eyes continued to wander around. Until finally he accidentally saw a carving on a flower pot that was quite familiar. Sean crouched down to study it. Sure enough, the carving was exactly like the symbol on the Professor's white coat. Finally, with all his might Sean tried to push it. At first it didn't move, but after the watch emitted a light with a giant hologram screen in front of it and time seemed to have stopped again...

[Overpower system installed immediately..... Success!]

Sean's power increased dozens of times after the screen passed through him. When the vase shifted, time went back and the hologram screen disappeared.

The people were surprised to see the ground in front of them moving down. It then formed stairs leading to the basement.

"Good job, Sean!" praised Claudia.

"You're a useful man," said the commander, patting Sean on the shoulder.

"Thank you, Sean. You were able to save us and our families," said another. This was the first time Sean had received praise in his life. He felt very happy and also proud of himself. Continuing to smile, Sean followed them into the room.

"Wow! This place is amazing," Claudia murmured, mesmerized by the underground dome. It did have quite a lot of facilities. Starting from a kitchen, a medical center, many comfortable sleeping rooms and a children's play area. 

'Maybe this place is as big as the city park above it,' Sean thought. 

"Alright. We've found a safe place to escape. For that, we must be able to evacuate the other people who have not been captured by the monsters," said the commander.

"Yes, commander! Do me a favor! My wife is heavily pregnant. I asked her to hide in the closet. I hope she's okay now," said a soldier. "Help! Save her first! Save her!" he added while kneeling at Sean's feet. Of course, Sean's heart was touched by this. Sean squatted down to be on the same level as the man. 

"Okay. Where is your home?"

"On the north shore of the city."

On the north side of the city. People were frolicking on the beach happily. Some were enjoying the soft sand, and some were attending a rather lavish engagement party. The lucky bride and groom were dancing in front of the crowd. They were Sarah and Johan.

"I'm so happy, Johan. You're a proper gentleman. All women must be jealous of me now," Sarah praised as she continued to move her body to the music.

"Hahaha. I knew you wouldn't go wrong choosing me as a partner," Johan said proudly. "Everything a woman looks for in a man is in me. Very different from that loser. Hahaha!"

"Of course. What's there to be proud of about that trashy guy? Even flies are reluctant to come near him. Hahaha."

They continued to insult Sean while not stopping dancing. Their laughter was so enthusiastic and echoed everywhere. It wasn't long before there was a hysterical scream from the people in the kitchen. The chefs ran out of the backstage room with panicked faces. 

"What happened?" asked Johan after restraining one chef. 

"Monster! Monster!" he shouted as he continued to point in the direction of his arrival. Not long after, another chef fell down while running out. Then after that a large, long and hairy spiky ant hand grabbed his body. It then pulled him back into the room. 

"Aaarghh!" cried the man, sounding horrified.

They stared at the backstage warily. Until a second later, a Megant Monster entered the building. Of course, everyone was shocked to hear his scream. They immediately ran out of the building until they were jostled. 

Because she was wearing a white mermaid-style dress with a long and wide bottom, Sarah couldn't run fast enough. Moreover, when the hem of her dress was trampled by people, she fell down. Johan's grip on her hand slipped.

"Johan! Johan wait! Help me!" Sarah shouted. 

Johan looked back. He was about to help his girlfriend. Unfortunately, a Megant Monster was getting closer to Sarah. So Johan chose to turn around and leave his fiancée.

"Johan! Johan help!" shouted Sarah as the Megant Monster pinned her body down. Sarah continued to struggle, but she felt her body being injected with liquid from the monster's claws, which made her body feel immobilized. She was desperate when the monster's mouth opened wide to devour her alive.

Suddenly, there was the sound of a sword being drawn towards her. Sarah, who was shocked and still unconscious, immediately opened her eyes.

"Sean," Sarah murmured with an incredulous look at the man who bravely helped her at such a terrible moment. The man looked dashing, with a long samurai in his hand.

Sarah's body fell along with the Megant Monster's body, which had been cut into several parts. Fortunately, Sean swiftly ran to catch her slender body before it hit the hard floor. Sean put Sarah's body on the floor. Then when he was about to leave her. Suddenly, Sarah's hand grabbed his leg.

"Sean, wait! Help me! Please!" Sarah said pleadingly. Sean was silent for a while. However, remembering all the actions that Sarah did to him made his heart have no compassion for her anymore.

"Ask your rich boyfriend for help," Sean said curtly while brushing Sarah's hand off his leg. Sean walked away.

"Sean wait! You have to help me! Because I know who your parents really are. They are still alive and not just anyone," said Sarah, who managed to make Sean's steps stop.
