Defeat the Megant Invasion using System Overpower

Chapter. 7 Sarah Captured by the Megant Monster

"Sean," Sarah murmured with an incredulous look at the man who bravely helped her at such a terrible time. The man looked dashing with a long samurai in his hand.

Sarah's body fell along with the Megant Monster's body which had been cut into several parts. Fortunately, Sean swiftly ran to catch her slender body before it hit the hard floor. Sean put Sarah's body on the floor. Then when he was about to leave her. Suddenly Sarah's hand grabbed his leg.

"Sean, wait! Help me! Please!" Sarah said pleadingly. Sean was silent for a while. However, remembering all the actions that Sarah did to him made his heart have no compassion for her anymore.

"Ask your rich boyfriend for help," Sean said curtly while brushing Sarah's hand off his leg. Sean walked away.

"Sean wait! You have to help me! Because I know who your parents really are. They are still alive and not just anyone," said Sarah who managed to make Sean's steps stop. Sean immediately turned his body and returned to Sarah.

"What do you mean by that?" asked Sean quickly. His face looked very eager to find out. Because, what he knew. Since childhood Sean was an orphan who lived in an orphanage owned by Sarah's mother. That's why since childhood they have been friends and Sean harbors feelings of love for Sarah which are very large. Unfortunately, Sarah did not well reciprocate it. 

"My body. My body feels weak. Can't move at all. How is this? I'm definitely going to die and there's not enough time to explain everything to you. Please help me first Sean. After that you will know the whole truth," Sarah said with a pained face. Sean had no other choice. Although he still felt very upset at Sarah. However, he really needed the information she had.

"Alright! I'll protect you, Sarah. But remember! If you don't keep your promise. I will personally give your body to those monsters," Sean threatened.

"Sure. You have my word now," said Sarah. Finally Sean lifted Sarah's body into his arms. Without realizing it, Claudia had been staring at them with a sad face from the side of the boxcar outside the building that would be used to evacuate people. Both those who had been injured, and those who were still healthy.  

"Claudia! Why are you daydreaming? Hurry up and help us evacuate these people!" said one soldier. Claudia immediately snapped out of her reverie. 

"Okay. Okay. Sorry," Claudia replied quickly. 

Sean's quick steps brought Sarah to safety. Because in the building there were still monsters popping out from the direction of the kitchen. So that the monsters do not come out and thwart their efforts to save humanity. Sean also bravely faced them all with the samurai in his hand. Behind the table that had been overturned, Sarah peeked at all of Sean's heroic actions that really captivated her heart.

"Wow. Is it really Sean? Why does he look so brave and tough now?" Sarah muttered with a mesmerized face. Too focused on staring at Sean's martial arts skills. Sarah accidentally shifted the table that was protecting her until it shifted. A Megant Monster who saw Sarah's existence immediately approached her. Its claws were about to grab Sarah's body. Fortunately, Sean quickly cut the claws with his samurai. Then drove the samurai into the monster's body. Until finally the monster fell lifeless.

"What are you doing? You want your body to be their food, huh?!" Sean said irritably. Sarah just snorted in annoyance. However, she couldn't help but admire Sean's amazing martial arts moves. 

Sean quickly killed the monsters that were approaching. One by one, the monsters were cut into pieces easily with the sharp samurai. However, instead of decreasing. The swarm of giant ants was even more numerous. They seemed to be getting angrier and wanted to attack even more brutally together. In the end, Sean seemed overwhelmed. He couldn't possibly finish off all the monsters at once. Besides, he came here to evacuate people. Not to destroy them. So Sean immediately racked his brains to escape. 

"Shit! Why are there more and more of them?" Sean muttered in annoyance. The monsters were surrounding him now. Finally, help came from the soldiers using the insect repellent spray they got from the convenience store next door. Seeing an opportunity to leave. Sean attacked them blindly again. In fact, he also used whatever was around him to prevent the monster from catching Sarah. Whether it's a table, tray, or cutlery, such as knives, spoons and forks. 

On the other hand, a different monster approached again. Sarah immediately screamed when its enormous claws pointed at her. Sean pulled a tablecloth. Then he used it to cover the monster's head. Without giving pause for the monster to fight back. He plunged his sword into the back of its head. The monster screamed loudly before falling down and dying.

Sean was already gasping for breath. His energy was already drained. However, the monsters did not decrease at all. Instead, there were more and more than more swarms arrived. Sean looked at them with a horrified gaze. He couldn't possibly have enough energy to face them all.

Using a box car whose owner was unknown. The commander ran over all the ants in front of him. To help Sean and the others leave.

"Sean, hurry up!" Claudia shouted, snapping Sean out of his reverie. He nodded steadily. Sean immediately carried Sarah's body. Then ran as fast as he could towards them. However, the unexpected happened when Sean's steps almost approached the car. Suddenly,, a car sped towards him. Then hit Sean's body until it bounced far enough. Sarah's body slipped out of his arms and hit the road. Johan got out of the car.

"You think you're going to be a hero for Sarah! Don't dream! You loser!" the man cursed at Sean. Johan quickly grabbed Sarah's bod,y who had fallen not far from the car.

"Sean!" shouted Claudia. Then the girl immediately helped Sea, who was already lying on the ground.

"Johan. Where is your brain? You just left me like that! Why are you doing that to Sean now? He helped me earlier," Sarah said angrily.

"You? How could you say that in front of m?. I'm clearly a great man who can't be matched by a man like him! What do you mean, Sarah?! You dare to fight me!" Johan's anger instantly radiated from his glaring eyes. Sarah was immediately frightened. Because she had never seen Johan like that before. 

"No, I didn't. I didn't mean it like that, Johan. I just-"

"Hah! You're such an unlucky woman!" Johan pulled his belt around his waist. Then pointed it at Sara,h who could do nothing. Other than closing her eyes in resignation. However, before he could whip his fiancée. A Megant Monster had already caught Johan's body.

"Aaarghh! Let go! Let go of m,e damn monster!" Johan shouted. Johan tried to rebel against the giant black ant claws. However, it was all in vain. The terrified Sarah tried to dodge with the remnants of her body that could be moved. However, she didn't manage to escape either. Because the Megant Monster caught her again.

"Sean, please!" shouted Sarah as the ants took her body away to be used as food supplies in their nest. Sean's body was full of wounds from being hit by Johan earlier. Trying to stand up. Unfortunately, his right leg was broken. So he fell back down.

"Sean! Are you okay!" asked Claudia with a worried face. Meanwhile, Sean instead focused on Sarah's figure, who was being carried by the ants. Like the leftovers they found on the dining table. 

"Sarah," Sean muttered softly. His energy was completely gone now. He continued to stare at Sarah, who was getting farther away. Until finally, he fainted.
