Chapter 6

Klein learned by the door and shook his head. There was one big secret about him that only he was aware of. 

The wedding day is finally here. If not for Natalie's family, the wedding preparation would have ended in shame but with money and connection, that was successfully avoided. Because Quinne's family had all of that. 

“I just want to remind you to take care of your husband, I don't want him to go out there to embarrass our families reputation because if he does, just know the shame will be on you alone” Grace sent Natalie a message few minutes before the wedding proper. 

Natalie bowed her head and took in a deep breath before forwarding the message to Klein. With another caption attached to it “hope you heard her properly, make sure to keep your composure. Because this wedding is attended by Grandpa's Friends Nation wide and they are all important personalities. 

Klein suddenly started behaving like something was bothering him. After shaking for a while, he decided to speak up. 

“Grandma Grace please can you lend me the sum of 130000 million dollars? I promise to pay once Mr Quinne arrives I need to take care of some bills.”

The whole family including Natalie was surprised at his sudden outburst. Natalie apologized for his impudent and promised to caution him afterwards. Grace on the other hand snapped at him but remained in a hushed tone acting like she heard nothing. If it wasn't for her husband, she would have sent him out of her house that very day. 

“This is all Natalie’s fault, it is quite evident she failed to educate her husband-to-be about the family rules and regulations."

Natalie quickly rushed to her grandmother and said " grandma please just forget about whatever he said, I will handle this matter after the wedding.” 

Natalie begged in a pitiful voice in her heart, she couldn't help but curse the very day she ever set eyes on Klein. 

“There will be no need for that” Zane showed up without being invited, " since you have proven to be unemployed and desperately in need of money, we will make you busy. Since the wedding is about to take place, this matter is settled.”

“Of course” Marvin cut in almost immediately, “we clearly do not want the family son-in-law to be unemployed even after marriage therefore you are going to take full responsibility for cleaning and packing in this house starting from today"

The wedding between Natalie and Klein was over just as everyone was enjoying the rhythm of the music, Klein took a portion of meat to put on his plait, he was rudely interrupted by Marvin. 

“ I would like to announce to you that your position as the groom is over, it is time you resume work" she said and seized the plait of food from him and placed it on the table. 

“What?, how can a purpet like you want to eat such a big portion of meat all by yourself. What effrontery.” Klein took a deep breath because he did not hope to be met with such unrolling behavior on his wedding day. He remembered Natalie's message from her grandma not to make trouble and be composed. So he nodded in agreement. 

“ But I still have guests who came for the wedding. I can do that afterwards!" he said in a calm voice. He then turned to leave. 

But it was not going to be Zane if he actually let go just like that. In truth, he and Marvin were the perfect match for each other. 

Zane intentionally broke a glass of wine and asked Klein to clean up the mess. 

“Hey loser I am not done talking to you, you dare not walk out on me" he intentionally raised his voice to draw the attention of other invitees towards his direction. 

“Wait! Is that not the groom with the dustpan on his hand? Invitees started whispering among themselves. 

“How can Zane talk to him in such a manner? To the extent of being asked to pick up broken glasses on his wedding day. 

“Klein got angry but there was nothing he could do. Zane was about to start a fire that would eventually consume him at the end. He thought within himself and continued walking without looking back.

Grace and her entire family seemed to have heard what Zane said and they walked towards it to save the situation. 

“Let me tell you today, mark my words, this is just the beginning of whatever encounter we will get. 

"Please we can talk about it some other time, but today is my wedding day so let me enjoy it. 

“Ha ha ha" as a freeloader that you are, you do not have any decisions to make so far as we are concerned Marvin said. 

“What exactly is happening here?! Natalie asked with a shaking voice. Her husband was asked to clean the broken glasses on their wedding day. 

She tried to speak but was rudely interrupted. “let him clean the mess, he is a snitch”  

“ Whatever business you have with Zane, just do it quickly without involving our family into it.” That said, Grace turned around and left. 

Klein emptied the pan and returned for the second time but was interrupted by

Natalie. 

“You should forgive his impudence, he is not to do this today of all days Marvin" Natalie said but her words fell on deaf ears. The wedding was over and everyone had left. 

"I need you to clean this hall tonight and don't make me wait for my breakfast tomorrow morning.” Marvin turned around and left. 

Walking into her room, Klein quickly grabbed the cleaning bucket and started cleaning. Before he realize it, it was morning.

“Breakfast is served" he announced.
