The mayor was clearly annoyed. He didn't know the relationship between Kevin and the people he met with him, but he was sure they were trying to override him.

“I'm still yet to understand what's happening here,” the mayor muttered thickly. He looked at the minister. “Perhaps the minister can explain it better to me. As far as I know, I and Kevin already booked this place. I don't know why you expect him to leave this place for you. Who can you be?”

The minister shivered. “I'm so sorry for the misunderstanding.”

Mia and Morris couldn't talk. They saw that the minister was in fact shuddering. They knew better than talking. What if they angered the mayor the more?

“That's not an excuse, actually! But that aside, I'm not the one you should be apologising to. You embarrassed my guest!”

The minister stepped forward with apologetic expression. “I'm so sorry, Mr. Kevin.”

Mia looked at him, shocked for a moment. Mr Kevin?

“I'm so sorry for the misunderstanding,” he repeated.
