47: Last time

Kevin took the steering because Morris refused to drive Kevin home. To him, it was a sign of disrespect. So, he sat in the back seat while Mia sat at the passenger side.

“What were you discussing with the mayor anyway?" Morris asked suddenly as Kevin took a turn.

Kevin regarded him for a moment through the front mirror. “You can't force the words out of my mouth. You had better mind your business,” he said harshly.

Morris felt a stab of annoyance. “Mia, did you hear what he just said?”

Mia grunted. “I have no time for this, Morris. If you can't stay quiet, you can as well get out of my car!” Mia said in a harsh, cold voice.

Morris groaned and looked away.

Mia was in fact annoyed that Morris disturbed her. She was thinking about who Kevin was. But no matter how much she thought about it, she couldn't arrive at a conclusion about who Kevin was.
