50: Disgraceful

Nathan drove himself to the hospital. He felt pain on his cheeks where Kevin had slapped him and needed to get treated.

He was still in a daze how it happened so fast. It was no news that Kevin was close to the mayor or he merely held such power.

But then he was yet to figure out why Perry's family doesn't see this.

The doctor had administered some drugs to him and even gave him some injections to help relieve the pain.

As he drove home, he placed a call to Morris. It rang twice, but Morris didn't pick it up.

He groaned inwardly and pulled into his garage. His phone rang almost immediately, and he thought it was Morris.

He glanced at the screen and realised it was his mother. He released a sigh and picked it up.

“Where the heck are you? Why aren't you at home?” His mother yelled at him. She sounded very angry, and Nathan was shocked.

What could have made her so angry?

“I just pulled into the garage,” Nathan responded softly.

“Get inside now! Your father and I are waiting,” she finishe
