Chapter 10: Harm!

Not wanting to respond to Benjamin, but Isabella eventually couldn't bear it and snapped back.

"Who are you calling deceitful? You're just someone I bought with money to serve as a stand-in. What right do you have to scold me? Furthermore, look at yourself. If you weren't such a useless waste, would I even need to look for another man?"

"You..."

Being scolded by Isabella to the point of grinding his teeth, Benjamin's fists clenched tightly, making a grinding sound. He felt extremely uncomfortable, but he could not refute Isabella's words.

For a moment, the atmosphere in the car became incredibly silent. Neither spoke to the other, each lost in their thoughts. After a while, Isabella's attitude began to cool down. This matter couldn't be entirely blamed on Benjamin. After all, they never had any feelings for each other. They were simply in agreement, a contract.

"Fine, I don't want to continue arguing with you either. Let's divorce now. After the divorce, I'll give you more money as compensation for the promised contract."

Saying this, Isabella felt a great sense of relief for some reason. However, Benjamin firmly shook his head in response.

"No, I won't agree to that!"

Had Isabella said this a few days earlier, Benjamin would have undoubtedly agreed without hesitation. But after witnessing what had just happened, he felt as if he was being humiliated. How could it be that easy to allow his wife to have an affair and then demand a divorce?

Seeing Benjamin stubbornly refuse to divorce her, Isabella felt annoyed but did not continue to press the issue with him.

At this moment, Kinsley had arrived as well. After learning that Benjamin refused to agree to a divorce with her sister, she furiously scolded him.

"What kind of man is he? Daring to refuse a divorce with you? Sister, if you've decided to divorce him, let me handle it. I will make him accept and agree to divorce you."

After saying these words, a sinister and triumphant look appeared in Kinsley's eyes. Isabella also thought she would prove to Benjamin that she wanted a divorce, not because of her infidelity, but because he was worthless and undeserving of her.

Leaving Isabella's car, Benjamin suddenly remembered that he hadn't finished his work. He returned to the café they had been to, looking for the young woman he had been with.

At that time, Winston was still inside. After encountering him, Benjamin made up his mind. He approached Winston with a severe expression and said:

"Allow me to introduce myself; I am Isabella's husband, the woman you just met for coffee. I hope that in the future, you will not bother my wife like this again!"

Seeing Benjamin suddenly appear and say such words, Winston's face showed a hint of surprise. But then he couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"You, a weak and useless man, are worthy of being Isabella's husband? She used the money to buy you and make you her fake husband. Is that true?"

Faced with Winston's ridicule and taunting, Benjamin's face became rigid. He could not refute Winston's words because everything he said was true.

For a moment, Benjamin felt like a complete failure. Disheartened, he didn't know how he left the café.

After work, when he returned to his bedroom, Benjamin noticed that the light was still on in Isabella's office. Initially, he didn't intend to go in. However, when he peeked inside and saw that Isabella wasn't there, and there were many pieces of paper on the table with rows of densely written text, he couldn't help his curiosity and stepped inside to read them.

Upon closer inspection, the papers contained lists that Isabella had used to compare him and the man named Winston. Moreover, he couldn't match up to the other man in all these comparisons.

Instantly, various complex emotions arose in Benjamin's heart. That night, he couldn't sleep.

Meanwhile, Isabella was also struggling to sleep in her room. She began to think about everything that had happened between her and Benjamin. Remembering how he had helped her escape from Edwyn, she felt ashamed. Benjamin was better than she had thought. He was a competent person.

The only thing was that her attitude made both herself and those around her think that he was incompetent and useless. Thus, upon waking up, she saw her sister scolding Benjamin, calling him a good-for-nothing.

At that moment, Isabella couldn't help but approach her sister and criticize her.

"Kinsley, who permitted you to talk about your brother-in-law like that? Next time, you're not allowed to treat him with such an attitude, understood?"

Suddenly seeing her older sister defending Benjamin, Kinsley couldn't help but feel horrified. She stared at her sister with a strange look, placing her hand on her sister's forehead, feeling for any signs of fever.

"Sis, are you not feeling well today? Why are you defending him?"

But Isabella brushed her sister's hand away. Then, with an utterly severe demeanor, she told Kinsley,

"There's no need to check, and I'm fine. I don't want to see such things happening in our home!"

Seeing her sister's retreating figure, Kinsley suddenly spoke up.

"Sis, you want to divorce him, don't you? Don't worry; I'll make sure he agrees to divorce you."

Hearing this, Isabella didn't overthink it. She just assumed that Kinsley was joking with her.

Upon arriving at work, Benjamin unexpectedly received a phone call from Isabella. She said her friend was drunk and needed to be taken home. Benjamin didn't doubt this at all.

He quickly followed the address Isabella provided, entering a hotel room. However, as Benjamin pushed the door open, a naked woman with no clothes on suddenly lunged at him, dragging him onto the bed.

Immediately afterward, Kinsley stepped out of the bathroom, taking pictures of the two with a camera nonstop.

"Ha ha ha, this is evidence proving you've cheated with another woman. Whether you accept it or not, my sister can divorce you at that point!"

Holding the camera in her hand, Kinsley revealed a delighted smile. Meanwhile, she laughed loudly at Benjamin.

At that moment, Benjamin also reacted in time. He quickly pushed the naked woman off of him. Then, he looked at Kinsley with a murderous glare.

"So, you two sisters deliberately plotted against me. Fine, very well! I won't let this go easily!"

With that said Benjamin didn't hesitate, directly pushing the door open and leaving. The woman who had just thrown herself at him now wrapped a blanket around herself. Then, she looked at Kinsley, wearing a relaxed smile.

"How was that? Did I meet your expectations?"

However, the smile on Kinsley's face suddenly disappeared. She looked at the woman opposite her with a solemn expression.

"This matter absolutely must not be discovered by my sister. Moreover, the money I gave you this time, you can't reveal to anyone. Do you understand?"

"Ugh, I know already. You're becoming more and more like your older sister, always nagging in my ear all day. It's so annoying."

"Hey, I'm just looking out for you. You should know by now what my sister's temperament is like."

"I know, I know! You've mentioned that at least ten times. But it's done now. Shouldn't you also settle the remaining payment for me?"

As she spoke, the woman sitting across from Kinsley stretched her hand in front of her.

"Hmph!"

Despite feeling disdainful, Kinsley only let out a snort. She then carefully inspected the camera one more time. After confirming there were no issues, she transferred the money and settled the payment with the other party. In the end, Kinsley's eyes quickly revealed an excited expression.

"Sis, I've taken care of the hardest part for you. The rest is up to you. As long as you agree, getting a divorce won't be any obstacles."
