“Sir, you don’t know Mr. Owens’ identity, do you? I advise you not to act rashly. Children will recover in a few days, leaving no scar,” said a bespectacled man to Isaac.

“That’s right. Nothing good will come out of it if you go up against Charles.”

Isaac ignored them. He held Isabella’s hand and said, “Isabella, remember this. If someone bullies you, don’t hold it in. Find ways to regain your dignity instead.”

They went to the field.

The sun was slowly emerging. On the empty field, Isaac and Charles stood facing each other. The parents and several men wearing combat uniforms stood in a circle around them.
