Chapter 16: Tricked

"You... Hahaha I knew you would come!" The King laughed as he started smiling.

Arthur was confused, there was no guards around, and the only person that could protect the king had just fainted. "Why the heck are you laughing?" Arthur asked with one of his eyebrows raised.

"You haven't realized yet? Did you really think that you will be able to defeat me that easily? In a building that is made to protect me? Using a vent that is consistently being watched by one of the guards? Hahaha!" The King laughed as he pointed at Arthur.

Arthur was more confused, "What are you talking about? There is literally no one here to save you." He said while using his X-ray goggles to see if there was any guards hiding near, but there was nobody.

Arthur then raised his hands and was about to throw a punch towards the King's face, "This is what you get for wasting my time!" Arthur shouted.

The King laughed before he was instantly teleported away with Lord Franklin from Arthur.

"Teleportation?" Arthur shouted as he tried to use the X-ray goggles to figure out where the King andthe Lord was teleported to.

However, he would get the answer, even if he wasn't trying to find it. A voice could be heard around the room. "Arthur! Or should I say, President Arthur, you shouldn't have tried to attack me, or my men. Now, you will pay for it. But before that you might want to check under the floor you are standing. Huhuhaha..."The voice of the King could be heard echoing in the room.

Arthur looked at he floor and saw using the X-ray goggles that there were buckets that had strings that was lit on fire. "TNT?" Arthur shouted before changing his stealth armor to his normal exoskeleton suit.

Boom! The whole room exploded and everything that was inside turning into dust. The guards and soldier was quick to arrive at the situation.

"Take out out your spear! The enemy is known to be very powerful, and we know that he might have survived. Do not lower your guard! Wizards, stay put and get ready to fire on command." The general shouted.

Suddenly, under the rubble Arthur jumped out and stood, standing strong as if nothing had ever happen, it was all thanks to his armor, or else he might have been dead.

"He is still alive! Attack!" The General shouted.

The King and Lord Franklin who was looking from afar was shocked by what they were witnessing, they were sure that Arthur should have been killed, and how did Arthur managed to change from a small armor to such a bulky armor that fast?

"General! Something is wrong! He wasn't using that armor! It seems he is using a very weird magic!" The King shouted.

"Understood your majesty!" The General replied as he saw his men's attack not working at all on Arthur.

Their spears and swords were useless when attacking Arthur. "Men! Change from your spears to halberd! Swordsmen, change your weapon to Warhammer!" The General shouted as he realized that spears wasn't working.

Arthur wasn't allowed to kill anyone. And so he had to carefully hit the soldiers away since the armor he was using had exoskeleton that was able to increase his strength by a significant amount.

"Wizards! Attack!" The General shouted as he saw that the attacks that the guards and soldiers were dealing on Arthur were useless.

The wizards then use their fire magic and started burning Arthur. He could feel the heat and felt like he was in a oven.

Arthur looked around to see where the wizard was coming from and found 20 of them hiding behind their own personal guards. 'Why are the wizards so powerful?' Arthur thought. In fact, the wizards power was comparable to the mid-tier wizards in the tower.

The General smiled, "You feeling the heat?" He smiled at Arthur. "Send the mana enhanced soldiers!" He then shouted.

Suddenly, a few soldiers jumped into where Arthur was fighting against the normal soldiers, but their size was at least three times the size of Arthur.

"Are you surprised? These are the greatest achievement! It can't be done under a democratic government, only through the will of the King that advancements like this can be made!" The General shouted at Arthur.

Arthur saw the soldiers that were hulking in size and felt a little bit intimated by them.

They didn't even look human, their muscle were very different from the bodybuilders with their proportion being unnatural. Their spine was visible from the back and their veins was seen visible blood red.

"You call that an advancement! That looks like an abomination!" Arthur shouted as he pointed at the 2 abnormally gigantic soldiers.

The General then looked at the soldiers, "Take him out!" Shouted the General.

The hulking soldiers then ran towards Arthur and threw him away with one hit. Pow! Arthur flew away at least 50 feet away before dropping on the floor.

His body was completely protected from the attack thanks to his suit, but he knew that the strength that the soldiers has was not something that could be just enhanced using mana.

Arthur then got into his boxing stance and approached the soldiers slowly with his careful footwork.

One of the soldier then ran towards Arthur and swung his right hand towards Arthur to which then Arthur weaved the attack and punched the solar plexus of the soldier.

He then threw a uppercut right on the soldiers chin. But he didn't stop there, instead he pulled the head of the soldier and kicked the soldiers chin using his knee.

The gigantic soldier then fainted and returned to his original size, however Arthur felt that something big had hit him at his back and fire started burning his suit.

He looked up and saw that the wizards has continued using their magic to keep him weak. But before he could retaliate, the gigantic soldier jumped on top of him, crushing him completely.
