Chapter 18: A New Reason To Fight, And A New Ore

"Yes." Arthur said before the system teleported him to the spawn area. As he arrived there he realized that he was in the 28th floor.

Arthur didn't spend much time there and immediately tore a teleportation scroll and teleported to the 10th floor branch of the Information Guild.

He ran into Sun Wukong's room and saw the Monkey King there. "How long was I away?" Arthur asked.

"It has been over a day since you left." Sun Wukong replied. "Why? Were you teleported to that world again?"

Arthur nodded confirming Sun Wukong's suspicion, "It's just as you expect. I am not going to the floors that other players have gone through. Have you got any answers from Vazimperium yet?" He asked.

"Nope. Haven't heard anything from him. It seems that the tower has some internal problem. We might be seeing something that is much catastrophic than the violence of the Behemoth Guild." Sun Wukong replied.

"Sigh, this is bad. But at least I can now clear the tower more faster. But I can't really predict what is about to happen." Arthur replied.

"Neither can I. But from what I heard it seems what you are currently going through has more pros than cons." Sun Wukong assured Arthur.

"At least that is happening for now. I have no idea what will happen the next time I enter the gate." Arthur said as he shook his head.

"Then what are you waiting for? Get ready for it. You have a lot of money. Why not use it?" Sun Wukong asked.

"Yeah, that will be a problem. Most of the weapons that we are currently using in the tower is upgraded and being powered by mana. Unfortunately, the world in the gate that I have been in, doesn't allow me to use mana." Arthur replied.

Sun Wukong's eyes opened wider, "Huh, that is a problem... If you were a spoiled brat! I told you have all the money in the tower! And use your brain for once! If you can't use mana use something else!" He shouted while looking at Arthur with a red and veiny face.

"Relax!" Arthur said while trying to back away from the angry Monkey King.

"I think I should use maybe solar..." Arthur whispered to himself.

Upon hearing that, Sun Wukong sighed and face-palmed his own face. "If you are gonna use solar energy to fight, you might as well just die."

Arthur was flabbergasted, was his idea stupid? Or was he too stupid to understand what Sun Wukong was trying to say? "Wukong, do you have any other options, that I could use?" Arthur asked feeling annoyed by Sun Wukong's unpredictable behavior.

"Since you ask, I shall answer. When I was in your world, the planet you originally came from. I saw video records of a bomb that your country used to explode a whole city. It used a power that not even mana could compare. Such a destructive power in such a compact form. The answer you are looking for, is Nuclear." Sun Wukong said.

"Why didn't I think of that." Arthur replied as he realized that he was thinking too conservatively. "The only problem is that how am I gonna get Uranium..."

Arthur walked out of the room and called his assistant. "Sir, how can I help you?" She asked.

"Get the investigation team to search for uranium ore, and fast." He said.

The assistant nodded her head and ran as fast as possible to the Investigation department.

"Now it's only a matter of time." Arthur said as he entered back into the room where Sun Wukong was. "By the way, it seems that the gate has been forcing me into a lot of stealth missions. And even though I am very sure that my stealth skill is increasing, I can't see any stealth skill being added to my skill tabs..."

Sun Wukong also looked confused. This wasn't supposed to happen. "I am afraid, I can't help you with that one. But it seems that the system of the gate doesn't want you to unnaturally increase your skills but naturally obtain it." He said.

As soon as he thought that the gate was a blessing, he was proven wrong again by Sun Wukong.

"You know what? I am actually getting angry just thinking about how I am getting screwed over right now. I will visit the Pu Chong-Yol instead." Arthur said as he walked out of his room with his coat on his hands.

He could see that the sky was getting slightly snowy and it was getting a bit colder. "It must be close to Christmas..." Arthur said as he looked around with memories flooding his mind about how he will spend Christmas with his father.

He shook off the thought as he knew he had more important things to deal with.

Walking in the middle of the street caused him to have a lot of eyes on him, considering he was walking out in the open and making his identity known. Everyone that was looking at him was pretty scared of him and were backing away.

Normally, this would be the perfect time for a journalist to go up to Arthur, however, the Information Guild had already gave all of the Media and Journalist Guild's to not disturb Arthur anymore.

And the other normal players were scared if they would anger Arthur and feel his wrath. His father was responsible for players viewing him this way.

Arthur Behemoth I, was known as a benevolent monster. He was kind and stern to the ones that stood in his gates, and those were his friends and sworn brothers and sisters, and to those outside of the gates, he was a monster, a tyrant worse than anyone in the history books.

His murder of thousands of humans, elves, and titans and stories turned into horror story books while the people that benefited from him wrote storues that depicted him as the greatest human being that has ever lived.

To Arthur Behemoth II, his father was just a loving father.

A few minutes of walk and Arthur had already arrived in front of the Murim Player Alliance Building.

As the guards that were standing in front of the gates saw Arthur approached, they ran towards him as fast as possible. "Sir! Why did you come like this? If you would inform us, we would have brought you here in a golden carriage that is carried by the most expensive horse!" The guard said.

"Thanks for your concern. I just felt like walking today," He said. "Now tell Pu Chong-Yol that I will be waiting at that cafe for him." He added before pointing at the cafe that was right in front of the Alliance building.

The guard was confused but nodded and immediately ran into the building without questioning Arthur any further.

Arthur looked at the cafe and saw that it was similar to the one that he went to when he was in Florida. It was small and it looked cozy from the outside.

Arthur then walked towards the building and as he entered it, he saw a fire place that was right beside the counter. The waiter that was right behind the counter froze as he saw Arthur.

He looked young, pretty tall, and had a very good built, but who didn't have a good build in the 10th floor? "Hot cocoa for me. And be generous with the marshmallow on top. And those cookies there looks delicious. Get me 20." Arthur said.

"O-of course..." The waiter said as he quickly went to make the hot cocoa.

It didn't even take a minute and the waiter somehow managed to bring on the table a mug of cocoa and 20 chocolate cookies. "How much will that be?", Arthur asked.

"That will be a penny." The waiter said.

"A penny? With that kind of price, how do you expect to climb the tower?" Arthur asked confused.

"Oh, but I am not really interest in climbing the tower... Not anymore, at least... Uhm I now have all the money that could last me for 5 lifetimes and this is my dream, to manage a cafe." The waiter said before walking away to hand beverages to his other customers who was also scared of Arthur.

Arthur scratched his hair as he couldn't understand why people like the waiter exist in the tower.

He was surrounded with people who would do anything to climb the tower. Arthur when he first got to level up, became more greedy. He felt as if that the strength and power that he received was not enough.

The feeling of wanting more and the feeling of revenge was the only reason why he climbed the tower. But have he ever thought of selling down. 'No, I have gone to far to just settle down with a normal life...' He knew that the Behemoth Guild would make it impossible for players like the waiters to live a normal life.

'Instead. I will help these players s they can continue living a innocent and peaceful lives without having to worry about the wars that they have nothing to do with...' He though before Pu Chong-Yol entered the cafe.

Seeing that Arthur didn't bring any bodyguards, Pu Chong-Yol also walked into the cafe without being escorted by his army of MPA members. But he still donned his expensive looking robe that was created out of ruby. Wizards spent years to make threads of string from rubies and sell it for a high price. And Pu Chong-Yol was proud of wearing it.

"That robe probably cost more than all the organs in a kids body." Arthur chuckled.

"Hey! You're right but don't phrase it like that! It sounds weird." Pu Chong-Yol replied.

"Anyways, do you have any good news for me?" Arthur asked.

"Yes. Turns out, we have another more stronger ore that we just found about. It's called the heavy cold iron... It is as hard and durable as the Mythril and can do whatever that Mythril can do." Pu Chong-Yol said.

"And the price?" Arthur asked.

"1 Behemoth Dollar per ton. In fact, if we secure a deal with one of the Merchant Guild to buy the mine, that only cost about 5000 dollars, we can mine a lot of it." Pu Chong-Yol said.

"That sounds a bit too good to be true. There must be a catch..." Arthur said.

"There is, and it is actually a bad news." Pu Chong-Yol said. "This ore, even before being purified is very heavy, after being purified it is almost impossible to be carried, even for the top ten ranker of the tower, according to records..." He added.

"It can't be that heavy, right?" Arthur asked.

"I can show it to you. We made a dumbbell made of pure heavy cold iron." Pu Chong-Yol replied.

"Where is it?" Arthur asked

Pu Chong-Yol looked at Arthur with a very confused look on his face. "Well, I don't have it here. If you want to try carrying it, why don't you visit the Alliance building, after all, it is just in front of this cafe.

Arthur nodded and stood up while throwing a gold coin to the waiter and walked out of the cafe.

"Okay then, let's see if this new iron that you found is really as heavy as you claim it to be." Arthur said as he entered the gates of the alliance building with Pu Chong-Yol.

The MPA members gave a slight bow as Arthur and Pu Chong-Yol walked pass them. Pu Chong-Yol the arrived in his personal office room and entered it alongside Arthur.

He the opened another door inside of it.

"Here is it. It took 50 of my strongest men to carry this little guy here." Pu Chong-Yol said.

Arthur looked at the dumbbell that was on the floor. He could see that it's weight was crushing against the floor. Arthur then bent and tried pulling the heavy cold iron dumbbell. He then realized that it was heavier than it looks, just like how Pu Chong-Yol described it.
