Chapter 20 – The Royal Mage
“You’ll remember once you join Fe Chan Ji in the grave.” She screamed tightening her grip on the dagger before adhering to plant the sharp blade into him.
But just before the fatal coincidence could happen, Alistar who watched the fight with absolutely boredom ever since gave a scratch of his cute but sharp claws into her back, interrupting the fight.“You small, annoying, ugly creature.” Mia jumped off from Ghou, turning to the cute little animal that curled itself calmly on the ground. Ghou frowned hearing the abusive words of Mia that sprayed no emotion into Alistar who still curled up himself until the talking lad eventually fell unto the ground unconscious. “Eh.. What happened.”“First you’re suppose to thank me for saving your lazy limbs but either way, the claw attack from a creature such as me is very complicated and makes the victim fall asleep for at least, a couple of days.” Ghou felt speechless as he listened to the words of Alistar who remained calm all through the event “How would you do something like…”“Just thank me for saving your life, instead of complaining stupidly.” Alistar jumped from the ground, raising itself up until it was the same height as Ghou“You really are a wild monster, and you’ll always remain one. But thank you for saving my life.”“Apology accepted. Now act matured for once and find that empress.”**** Ghou’s first suspicion on Kiara’s where about was her chambers. With some minutes of relentless running he finally met himself in front of the closed door of the room. Instantly pushing it open, Ghou gaze fell upon Kiara and a fairly handsome man, maybe in his early twenties who waved his golden tinted hands around her neck, slowly healing the casualties that gave that feeling of warmth into her brain.“Oh, I managed to knock her out.” Ghou dazed at the man as he muttered his words that came out almost inaudible. This man is so hot! Ghou couldn’t help but drool at the man even though he wasn’t a homo$exual, who paid no attention towards him as his mind deeply concentrated on the injury that gradually began to heal. The man whose royal robe fell until it touched the ground made it clear that he had the title of the royal mage especially with the presence of his magic.“He’s foreign.” Kiara who noticed Ghou’s condition said with a smile that jerked him out of his thoughts “His name is Elbert.”“Oh, no wonder, the hairstyle really pushed me aback.” Ghou laughed in embarrassment hearing the brief explanation from Kiara. But even with the explanation, he still drooled at the combed side fringe hairstyle that nicely attuned to his heart shaped face.“Don’t be a slum, where is the girl.” Elbert immediately rose up from the bed after some minutes of healing Kiara who fell to the bed exhausted from the activity and the magic.“In the guest room, and she won’t her awake for now…”“Till when?” Elbert walked out of the room, pacing arrogantly towards the Palace guest room section. Within a matter of minutes, he arrived in front of a expensive door that was wide open for Elbert to see through.“Did you even realize if I was behind you.” Ghou stood vogue beside Elbert whose facial expression instantly frowned seeing Mia who laid unconsciously on the ground with a claw mark noticeably drawn on her back “This thing of yours did this, right?”“Don’t call him a thing.” Ghou for the very first time defended Alistar who curled lazily around his waist, “His name is Alistar.”“Pathetic! Now how exactly am I going to examine her.”“You’re a mage, a royal mage. You have to be specialized in all knowledge involved in magic, you should have an ability that should help her wake up.”“It’s a spell, not ability. And spells involves components, or even rituals.” Elbert retorted storming into the room before lifting Mia onto his shoulders, “Silently follow me to my quarters. And I repeat, silently.” After many minutes of walking through endless corridors and climbing multiple staircase, Elbert and the silent lad arrived in front of a large door that was partially opened, revealing a glimpse of the glowing ‘Tomato light’.“Talk only with my permission.” Elbert eyed Ghou before pushing the door open, to the amazement of Ghou who found himself standing before a room of enchanted potions, books and weapons.“Wow.” Ghou muffled in amazement as he dazed at the room that gave out a mind blowing aura.“I said only talk with my permission.” Ghou turned his gaze towards Elbert who sat on top of a table, calming a large python that seem to be in its aggressive state, “You’re lucky I’m nice enough to rescue you from him, else you’ll be in his stomach right now.” A laugh escaped Ghou’s lips hearing the words of Elbert who got puzzled, “I’ll roast it with the flinch of my fingers.”“Unfortunately, this thing here is magic resistant.” He patted the creature that gradually calmed down some minutes later before falling into a temporary sleep. Within some seconds, Elbert continued and said, “Anyways, could you gather all the cyan colored potions for me.”“What do you mean by Cyan?”“Heavens!” Elbert could not do anything but exclaim to Ghou’s silly question. Meanwhile Ghou gazed innocently at him, still ignorant of what he meant.“Are you trying to behave silly?”“Why would I? And by the way, I’m serious, what do you mean by cyan.” Elbert jumped down from the table after being convinced that Ghou wasn’t trying and mess with him and actually being serious, “Hum, I mean a greenish blue color.”“Then why were you being so confusing, I bet that word don’t exist.” Elbert jaw dropped completely to the floor after hearing Ghou who unknowingly embarrassed himself.“Just ignore that, and gather them.” Ghou immediately ran towards a tall wooden shelf that solemnly accommodated over a hundred of different potions that all had effects tags glued to their bottle. It didn’t take long and Ghou instantly went to work, slowing examining and picking the supposed color description.“Heaven’s flame! I see no importance for this one, especially when it goes with Brand pepper as a name.” Ghou laughed in response to a glistering potion that weirdly featured the color description, “It’s supposed to be red or something since it has a pepper in its name.” Elbert laughed to Ghou’s words as he struggled frantically amongst his dozens of spell book to find the suitable element to awaken Mia.“This isn’t your profession…. What may I call you?”“Ghou Fe Ling, that’s my full name.”“Ghou Fe Ling, this isn’t your profession, so just bring all the required potions there.” Ghou ignored his words and continued fetching out all the cyan potions until there was none left. “I’m done. Now can you tell me something, I’ve heard of alchemy a lot and….”“Could you get out, please.” Elbert rudely interrupted Ghou’s words as he seemed really focused on whatever he was trying to do. However after a minute of silence from Ghou without leaving, he turned to him, immediately repeating his words, alongside the python that abruptly jumped up from his sleep while hissing harshly to Ghou who instantly felt intimidated, “His name is Jones, and he could be abusive with intruders. Now you may excuse me.” “Okay, you don’t need to call your pet on me.” Feeling a bit embarrassed Ghou stormed out of the room and proceeded for his guest room, after all it was almost midnight and he needed enough sleep to reach the next day. Suddenly Alistar who still curled himself around Ghou’s waist puked his head out, looking directly to Ghou’s face, “I told you, only normal people will name their pets, didn’t you admire that cute name?”Chapter 21 – When The Vessel Spring“Were you blind, that man is absolutely dumb.” Ghou landed his butt to the soft and comfy bed of the guest room after ignoring Alistar’s questions until he finally arrived in the room.“If he’s said to be dumb, then you’re clearly dumber. Remember, you turned dumb when he mention a simple word such as cyan.” Ghou’s eyes fell towards the lazy creature that ignorantly tied to his waist, “You know I could strangle you to death..”“Be careful with your words alright, I won’t be this calm when you say something like this ever again.” Alistar’s voice instantly turned cold, saying all the words which sent shivers down Ghou’s spine.“I won’t exchange words with you now.” Ghou tried to contain his sudden fear to the creature around his waist, “Goodnight.”**** The next day was rather less peaceful like Ghou had imagined in his dreams with the information of over dozens of people who gathered around the castle with intent to harm. Gh
Chapter 22 – The Guardian Is A After walking for what looked like hours, Ghou finally broke the silence, “Funji, you never told me what the guardian looks like.” Funji gave a halt after hearing the question which had pushed a smile into his face, “Hum, the guardian is a…” He immediately began to ponder on the right words to describe the guardian, especially since he had met him just one time. “I’ll say.. He’s a Naga, the guardian Naga.” Ghou’s mouth dropped to the ground immediately after hearing the description of the guardian that was vividly a Naga “Oh.. How far before we reach the Ender, I’m already getting exhausted.” “Very soon.” Funji turned around and continued on the journey, now ignoring both Kiara and Ghou who lazily followed behind. However after some more minutes of walking without a temporary halt, Kiara finally indulged into a conversation with Ghou, “So, I actually came here not long after you were knocked into this state b
Chapter 23 – Emperum It was only a matter of time and half the individual were cleared, leaving only a few others who were either running for their lives or sitting on the ground in acceptance to their fate.“Why aren’t they using their ability to fend off these things.” Kiara screamed at the people running beside her. But unfortunately one of the flying beast noticed her presence and began approaching with a mind blowing speed. Meanwhile Ghou who was aware of this fact flung his arms towards the creature in an attempt to activate the fire veins, but the action proved useless as it couldn’t even sprout from the ground. Seeing the tough situation, he had no choice but to push Kiara far away from her position which ended with the creature’s sharp claws digging into the gray ground, scaring all the people who now ran with maximum fright.Seeing the strange display, Ghou’s eyes turned narrow as the creature ignored its action and flew into the sky, continuously grapplin
Chapter 24 – Escape Room Is Not An Option Ghou and Kiara walked exhausted into a tiny room which was accompanied by a notification from the system‘GUALIVERE PASSAGEWAYPASSAGEWAY PASSED – 19/20COUNTDOWN [00:19:59] this is not an option“YOU MIGHT ESCAPE THE EMPERUM”‘Kiara fell to the ground as soon as the notification flashed on her eyes. It took just nine hours to complete a whole nine task and it left the two individual stressed out. However Ghou on the other hand stood still on the ground, reading the text on the screen like it was a complete textbook.“I won’t die like this.. We won’t die like this.” His red and baggy eyes revealed determination as he said those words. Just as the notification wrote, the Escape Room could never be an option to escape and by the way, no wonder it was named Gualivere passageway, it was never a guaranteed escape room.“I think we can now only rely on Elbert and his wizardry.” Kiara said some seconds later a
Chapter 25 – Growing Threat The silence in the room was shortly interrupted with the revival of Kiara who jumped from the table like she had been conscious of the surrounding. “That trash.” She sparked like a leopard ready to tear its prey into pieces. After another seconds, she turned her gaze to Elbert who felt numb with the furious eyes from Kiara. “Anything wrong, Empress Mihou?” Kiara quickly ignored the question from Elbert and transferred her gaze to Ghou who stared at her like he already knew the reason for her temper. “Calm down, we’ll definitely find him sooner or later.” Ghou’s voice was still steady and elegant, even with all the incidents and Kiara’s blood curdling stare. “Elbert, is their a way for a dead to be amongst the living.” Elbert raised his brows immediately after listening to Kiara’s question that seem to have given her a bad temper, “Of course, don’t you know about spirit and ghosts. But however they can only stay in the physical p
Chapter 26 – Expensive Food In An Expensive Restaurant After walking a long distance in the streets, Ghou found himself in front of his small bungalow which looked sparkly clean even if it was the exterior appearance. Though Ghou was still bothered about Xia’s well being but he felt relieved when she came out of the house dressed like someone going to an expensive place.“Xia, I’m back.” Ghou startled Xia who turned around from the door with a terrified expression. After seeing that it was only Ghou, her face calmed down before unlocking the door since he was now around.“Oh, brother Ghou, I was about to get breakfast in a restaurant.” Ghou’s brow shot to the sky hearing her extravagant living. Why couldn’t she buy some bread or other snack to eat, but instead she was going to a restaurant. But he did not dare to caution her for the actions since he didn’t want to be seen as a rude caretaker. He had to swallow up his feelings.“Oh.. That’s nice. I also famished,
Chapter 27 – Intimidation Against Intimidation“He really is insane.”“Could you imagine anyone challenging Wu Wang generation, let alone of Wu Luau, their golden apple.” The whispering between the crowd drastically increased with most of them referring to Ghou as stupid or insane. The guard however upon hearing Ghou’s words clenched his fist until it was at its tightest before turning to his gaze to Wu Luau whose face popped veins as he glared at him. Xia on the other side was already shivering with fright due to Ghou’s rude reply to all their questions.‘Is brother Ghou going to embarrass himself, we should have never come here.’After some minutes of silence in the restaurant, Ghou smiled and sat on his seat, “I’ll take the silence as an approval.”“You junk....” Young master Wu Luau shouted in rage as he tried to lay an insult on the stranger who looked around similar age with him, but he mouth was speechless.“Are you two still standing here… teach that thing som
Chapter 28 – You’ll Only Damage Your Core-shell Ghou’s face boiled red hearing the abusive but truthful words from Alistar who continued to blunder without a care in the world. After bearing more of the insult, he stood up and went in his room, where he met the skill book lying on the beside-bed-table.Without further ado, he picked it up and ran to the parlor where he began to stroll through the pages, searching skill that were even more powerful skills in the Emperor or Primal level.“Oh! A skill book, thanks the heavens, you still have hope.” Alistar uncurled himself from Ghou’s waist with his interest wrapped around the book.“I thought you were at the peak of Advanced level, why are you going for the King Petal and above.”Ghou immediately frowned at the words and turned his daze to Alistar, “I thought I’m in the low level King Petal.”“Then you’re wrong. I’ve lived since your ancestors were born, and I’d never mistaken anyone’s level.” Ghou immediately i
