JETT'S POV
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!’, I screamed as I sat up straight on my bed. My heart was pounding excessively and I was drenched in sweat. My body was extremely hot and was naked on my bed. I hope I still had my virginity intact. My arm and legs were back and there was no hole in my abdomen either. I didn’t understand. I couldn’t make heads or tails out of it. Want I just in the woods facing that beast? The Neo Enigma. But more than that I had a huge headache, my head fleet like it'd explode ’t any second and I had a boiling fever.
I went to the bathroom to take a quick shower. As I took the shower I was still trying to make sense of what had happened. I couldn’t. I looked hopelessly at the diadem around my neck for any clues but nothing. I got out and luckily the fever was gone but then I was extremely hungry and I had no food at home. I needed to go shopping. As I was stepped out I saw it was yet another sunny day.
‘Ouch!!’. The sun burnt mu skin. What the fuck?! Since when? I put my hand under the sunlight over and over again and each time it burnt me. I was perplexed. I put on my hoodie with a pair of gloves and rushed to the convenience store close by. On my way back I ran into Ravi.
He said, 'Thank goodness! You made it out alive!’, as he embraced me. I felt weird, like squeezing him like an orange, till all the juices come out.
‘So, did you find anything?’.
‘Well… I’m not really sure I was there but the next thing I knew I was back at my place’, I scratched my left arm.
‘Oh! Okay, I get it. You chickened out but you’re ashamed to admit it’, he said with a smile. ‘Don’t worry, it’s nothing to be ashamed about. At least now you’ve got some sense so don’t go back there’. He walked away.
Fuck off. I didn’t chicken out. He was right about something though; I wasn’t going back there. I know what happened wasn’t a dream but even if it was, that was a good enough warning not to go there ever again.
‘What did you say happened?’, a creature with a coarse voice asked. ‘What happened to Paralogos?’
Paralogos was the Neo Enigma I had encountered.
‘We don’t know, Lord Perifronisi’, one of the lesser beast replied.
Perifronisi was a higher ranking Neo Enigma. His name in an ancient language that existed before the virus meant “Scorn”. He had four arms. The first pair were smaller and were joined at the wrist across his chest. They had no hands. The second pair were bigger and behind the smaller ones. They had huge claws. He had horns that were curved inwards and over his head. On his chest was a golden glowing crest. It was two triangles superimposed and upside down to one another. He also had a razor like grin but his seemed even more sinister.
He approached the scene and in the midst of the human parts and corpses that lay there, there was the shredded corpse of his comrade, Paralogos. His horns were broken. His teeth smashed, only a few were left and they were loosely held in place. His grin was washed off his face. His head was connected to his body by thin elastic strands of muscles. His chest was ripped apart and the inside was very clearly visible. His lower body was gone, all that was there was a blood trail leading outside the woods.
‘This can only be the work of one of our kind’, Perifronisi pointed out.
‘I agree’, Anisychía replied. He was of a higher rank like Perifronisi. ‘ I agree but why would anyone of our kind’ attack the other?’
‘I don’t know… Druantia’, he called looking at the tree to his right.
Like a mirage, a beautiful female cane from the tree. She was glowing white and had a crown of leaves around her head. She wore a transparent silk cloth made of various layers. She was sensationally beautiful. Her eyes shun like the sun. Her lips were pink, soft and tender. She had various ornaments around her neck, wrists and ankles. And a diadem on her forehead. As she emerged from the tree various tiny glowing lights followed her along.
‘Yes, my dear one’, she responded as she swung around him, placing her arms around his neck.
‘You’re the guardian of the woods’, he paused. ‘Tell me what happened’.
‘It was a human child’.
‘What?!!’, he and Anisychía exclaimed simultaneously. Unbelievable, a human child; capable of this monstrous scene. ‘ Don’t tell me lies. Just admit you weren’t keeping watch’, Perifronisi remarked out if disbelief.
‘I’m neither like your kind not like the feeble humans. I need never sleep nor rest. I’m always active’.
‘Then how?!’.
‘He had entered here before with his friends but not all of them left alive, one of the lessers killed some of his friends…’, lessers was her way of referring to the lower ranking Neo Enigma. ‘But he still had hope to escape from this town. He returned yesterday and was in the verge of death when something awakened in him and he came out victorious’, she concludes with a mischievous smile.
‘Preposterous!!!’. Perifronisi was enraged and unsettled. If a human was really capable of this and they were more of them then their days were numbered.
‘But it seems like the human is still not aware of his abilities, he can’t even remember what happened’, Druantia added to lighten his load.
‘Tell me his name!’.
‘That I can’t do. I am the guardian of the woods not your subordinate. I’m not on any side’
‘So you’ll help him if need be?’. His anger rising he clenched his fist. She didn’t flinch despite seeing this. ‘Where is he?’, Anisychía butted in.
‘I took him home’. She began returning to her abode. ‘One last bit of information…’, she paused as they looked at her with full attention. ‘I don’t believe he is what he appears to be’.
‘What do you me-‘, the impetuous Perifronisi asked. She had unfortunately left before he could finish his question. ‘This can’t be! I thought we killed the half abomination three years ago?!’.
‘What do we do?’, Anisychía asked .
‘This is our town. We rule this world’, he said trying to boost is overloaded ego. ‘We go out in search of him tomorrow evening’.
‘Yes, sir’, he responded while bowing to the furious Perifronisi that was storming out angry.
JETT'S POV I packed up and down my room trying to make sense of what had happened. 'I remember being stabbed and then...', I murmured to myself. I didn't notice what was staring at me each time I walked past mirror that hang to me. I caught a glimpse of red in the mirror. I knew I wore nothing red and coming to that realisation, my heart skipped as I jumped back using my arms as a shield for my face and raising my right leg ready to kick whatever it was. It was red and looked grim. It had a devilish grin like the Neo Enigma but it was different. It's colour was crimson. Blood red. A crimson demon. It had like an eye protector like the ones on the knight armour. It had spikes on the shoulders and its hand continued into blades. It had a torn clothe round its waist that connected to the shadow at its feet. It didn't have feet, they just connected with the bulk of shadows that hovered around its feet. Crimson shadows that I'm sure were solid and touchable. What stood out the most was
JETT'S POVThe night got colder and colder each second. The warm embrace and air that hovered around moments ago was gone... Hopefully not forever. It was after me of course, I had killed one of its own but Gabby was to join me in my grave for just being there. The injustice. Several of my own have been killed and we never hunted them and then one of theirs get killed and they ambush me. I was furious. The Neo Enigma that came after me obviously looked like an assassin. His head was made of mist that had a long tail that bellowed in the windy. It had long arm that had long blades at the end, looked more like a scythe than a limb, no wonder my arm was that easy to discard. He was blue like the others just darker. He was extremely tall. This one didn't look as scary as the others but obviously was dangerous. The wound was not healing? Timoria won't lend me power? I thought as I looked at my lifeless arm that lay there next to Gabby. She was shocked and confused. 'Gabby! Ruuuun!!'As s
JETT'S POVI filled the pit with sand; lifeless. I was like a moving puppet; without soul or purpose. I was dead on the inside. I knelt down after having filled out the pit and stared into the dark abyss of nothingness. I could see clearly but all I saw was darkness. I knew I had blood in my veins and organs but I felt hollow and empty. I knew I was surrounded by trees and rocks but it seemed to me like I was floating in a dark sea of blackness. I didn't know what was real and what wasn't. I felt like there was no such thing as time but just a void of nothingness that never seemed to finish. My insides were colder than the night.I didn't cry anymore; I couldn't. I just sat down freezing in the night as I lay at the grave I had prepared for the innocent Gabby. She didn't deserve this. None of them -- us did. 'Hope thou don't misdirect thine angerI did what was neededThou need to chase what thou art afterThine enemy head', the clever Timoria spoke. I wasn't mad at him nor did I bla
****Mními pov*****On a cold night in the forest, in an undisclosed location we gathered for a meeting. It was like a huge colosseum, the upper area was dark and the faces were not visible just crimson eyes glowing in the dark. In the centre was a blue glowing light and in it was a silhouette of a person. There were four cubiculum's which had a curule chair for each general. I Mními sat in one of them, I was a general. An old one; I was one of the first ones born from the great Brahma who was the figure in the blue glow in the centre of the colosseum. I was old but I was still quite able; I had two long horns that curved downward to the rear, Cyclops eyed and pointy eared. I had worn a torn robe round my waist and had a veil swinging behind me from arm to arm. On one of the other was the furious Perifronisi, standing at his right hand was Anisychía. ****Mními pov*****We knelt in awe of the Great Brahma. He was the definition of greatness. He had an aura of authority and supremacy, like a true god. He had a huge white eye in the centre of his face. Striations ran from his crown, around his eyes to his teeth. His teeth was visible but not smiling. He had six horns, three horns on each side. The highest one pointed up and outward, the second curved backwards and the lowest one curved downward and forwards. There were threads hanging from the horns, swinging from one to the other. He had ten arms, five on each side. The first three pair of arms were facing palm up with light orbs in their hands. The fourth pair were together as if to be praying. And the last pair was also facing palm up. He had a robe on, it was glowing. His legs were crossed as he floated in the air. The great Brahma was the most powerful being in the entire universe but he was inactive. For some reason he had no fighting ability, most of his power has left him sti

***Jett's pov***I lay on the ground wounded. I wasn't gazing at the starry night sky; no. I was awaiting my from death. Anisychía drew closer ready to render the finishing blow. I couldn't move. My limbs had gone numb, and they were bleeding. I felt frozen on the outside; my fingers felt like blocks of ice but I was boiling hot on the inside. The blood filled air didn't ease the pain one bit. He was almost standing above me when it happened. Sand fell from the sky and swallowed me; I couldn't breathe for a while. I felt like I was the sand, like I didn't exist in my body but as the sand. Soon after the sand threw me up from its belly and o fell in the ground. I was shocked. Looking up to my right I saw an old cottage, the house was white but covered with lots of weeds and crawlers. The roof was in its last days as one side leaned toward the ground more than the other. The wooden floors were rotten and the nails very visible. I was sure I was in someone's solitary confinement priso

To the boy it had looked like an old man was stirring a pot of boiling soup but as I stirred the pot I was keeping up the barrier that kept is hidden from all eyes. I wanted to keep our discussion to both of us, for the trees had ears and eyes. I looked at the pot of soup which was now cooling, the smoke rising into the sunny sky from the ashes of the firewood, and then I transformed to my normal form as I turned to my right and there she was; Druantia. She looked vexed. She was standing with her hands on her hips, one leg pacing up and down, and brows furrowed. She always acted elegantly towards every other being there was except towards me, Michael and Brahma. When she was with us she always acted childish, which was to be expected, after all we three were there when she was just a little goddess. She was cute and still looked like a tiny little girl. ***Jett's pov***Preci was standing far off from where I stood. She was afraid of me; I had just killed her father who, for whatever reason, just turned into a Neo Enigma. "Why don't we go home and I'll try and explain", I said while looking around, signalling her that here wasn't the best place."and you'll tell me what happened on our way home".She agreed silently with a nod as she turned around and began walking. After we walked for a while, I decided to break the ice. "So what happened?""My dad tried to rape me... Again", she mumbled. I wasn't sure I heard right, so I looked at her. She nodded softly while biting her lips and avoiding eye contact, she strengthened her grip on the blanket that covered her; she was embarrassed. "He had always done it since we were kids; especially to my sister".I was beyond shocked and heartbroken. What the hell?! Cindy always smiled, I never thought that she would ever have a bad experience. Preci; yes, she always frowned but not the ever che
***Preci's pov***"Jett! Tell me where she is! Jett!! Jett!!!", I yelled hoping he listens. I was furious, how dare he not tell me what happened to my sister? I flung the can of soda I had in my hands on the floor and screamed while pulling on my hair. Ravi rushed out to see what was going on, "are you okay?", He asked. He was a kind and friendly person to all but to me I didn't really like him. I felt he was too good to be true; he was fishy to me and therefore he always irritated me. I walked away ignoring his phony concern; I went home fuming with anger. As I entered my house, everywhere was dark except my sister's room. Cindy's room light was on. I walked slowly and quietly to the door only to be horrified by the sight I saw. My dad was salivating while sniffing my sister's underwear, he was laying on he bed with one hand holding her underwear and the other in his pants. This sight disgusted me but I wasn't new to it. Since we were little my dad had always harassed us; my sister
***Jett's pov***I was frozen; how did it enter my room? There they were, all the kids I knew with Ravi standing in their middle. There were ribbons and decorations hanging from window to window, they were colour red. My favourite colour. They all jumped up and shouted, "SURPRISE!!!", As I stepped into the room. "What surprise?!". I was utterly confused. "You dummy", Ravi said, whacking me on the head. "I knew you'd forget... It's your birthday fool!"Are you for real?! I honestly forgot about all that. I had been so busy fighting for my life and losing lives in the process. Even if I remembered, I really didn't believe that anyone would care to remember; let alone throwing a surprise birthday party. I felt warm inside; the same kind I felt as I hugged Gabby that night. I never thought I'd feel like that ever again. What was that feeling? My vision became blurry and I felt tears roll down my cheeks, I tried stopping it but it just kept coming out. Before long I was wailing like a si
