CHAPTER 64

Alan could not help but feel his heart contrasting as his gaze met with that of Rose. It felt like the blood in his body had dried up and he could feel his head vibrate. This wasn't how it was meant to happen, he reasoned.

“That's what I am talking about,” Mr. Lawrence nodded in satisfaction, a smirk forming from the corner of his lips. “Now, get her tied to a chair just beside Alan.”

Alan's gaze darted back and forth and he was sweating profusely in tension and his eyes were tinged with a ferocious expression of fear. “What? What do you want to do to her? What has she done? Why do you want her tied up? She just concluded a CPR? Shouldn't she be having a rest?”

Alan asked many questions in only a few seconds as his breath was heavy with a desperate wheeze of anxiety. His hands trembled with a piercing shake of agitation and there was a frantic surge of fear in his voice.
