“Is it going to be you, Alan?” Mr. Lawrence spoke, pointing the gun to Alan’s head and his hands caressing the trigger playfully. “What a painful end to a wonderful story it is going to be, eh? The poor slave boy Alan who suddenly stumbles into wealth is now killed tragically after having the nerves to infiltrate his hotel suite and rescue his Ms. Cinderella.”

“That would be one hell of a story, wouldn't it?” Mr. Lawrence asked, his lips twisted in a mocking curl of irony and his brows arched in a lift of contempt.

“If you die today, perhaps your old man would take over his consortium back. He would probably think it was a mistake handing such a responsibility to you anyway.”

Alan’s brain was fried as the barrel of the gun was firm in his forehead. His heart sank in his chest as he wondered if it was actually going to be the end for him.

Rose felt her heart sink into her tummy as her heartbeat was three times faster. She just got Alan back. Would she lose him just right away?
