Chapter 6: Aureus Group Of Conglomerates

 

Victoria smiled and straightened her glasses.

  

"Master Ethan, I'm the manager for the Aureus Group of Conglomerates." She said

 

Ethan's eyes widened as he took a step back. No one in Ashville hasn't heard of Aureus. It was a massive corporation with a net worth in the billions. He couldn't believe that his father owned such a powerful company. 

 

"Dad, you...you own Aureus Group?"  Ethan asked in disbelief.

 

William nodded with a proud smile. "Yes, son, and it's now yours, so you're the one going to run it now," he said.

 

"Wow!"

 

Ethan's mind was reeling. He had never expected any of this. Slowly he had turned into a rich man in the blink of an eye. 

 

William reached into his pocket and pulled out a card, which he placed on the table in front of Ethan. The card was silver in color and had a sparkling finish that caught the light in the room. Ethan's name, "Ethan Nightingale," was emblazoned on it in bold letters.

 

Even Victoria's eyes widened when she saw the card. She recognized the card, it wasn't that easy to get the card.

 

"Dad, what's this? He asked, staring at the card in shock.

 

William smiled at his son's reaction and said, "I had this card specially made for you, Ethan. It's a diamond platinum card, and there are only a few people who can have customized ones."

 

"Gulp!"  He swallowed hard after hearing that a card was specially made for him and only a few people in the world can have the customized ones.

 

He picked up the card and examined it closely, admiring the intricate design and the weight of the card in his hand. He turned it over to see the Aureus Group of Conglomerate's emblem on the back.

 

William then dropped the bombshell, "There's 5 billion dollars in it, son."

 

"What?"

 

Ethan's jaw dropped. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. His father had just handed him a card with 5 billion dollars on it. He looked up at him, stunned, and asked, "Are you serious, dad? This is... unbelievable."

 

Even though he now believed that his dad was rich, he didn't expect his net worth to exceed $1 billion, but now he was saying the card had 5 billion dollars in it, meaning he was worth more than that. Thinking of this, he couldn't help but ask.

 

"Dad, are you worth more than 10 billion?" 

 

Victoria chuckled.  "Master, the Aureus Group alone is worth 10 billion," she said, watching Ethan's reaction.

 

Ethan's eyes widened in shock as he tried to process the numbers. "10 billion?" he repeated incredulously.

 

Victoria nodded with a smile. "Yes, the Aureus Group is a massive conglomerate that spans across various industries. It's one of the most successful companies in the whole country, and you're now the head of it."

 

Ethan nodded.  "Victoria, I would like to visit the Aureus Group tomorrow. Can you arrange it for me?"

 

Victoria nods respectfully and replies, "Of course, Master Ethan. It would be my pleasure to give you a tour of the Aureus group.

 

Ethan looked at William and then back at Victoria. "Thank you, Victoria. I appreciate it," he said, a sense of excitement building up in him.

 

 

Williams looked at Ethan and smiled. "I'm glad to see you taking an interest in the business, son."

 

Ethan nodded, a bit overwhelmed with all the information he has received. "I want to learn more about the Aureus group and how it operates," he said.

 

Williams nodded approvingly. "That's a good attitude to have, Ethan. You'll do well in the business world with that mindset."

 

Ethan smiles, feeling encouraged by his father's words. He looks back at Victoria and asks, "What time should I come tomorrow?"

 

Victoria pulled out her tablet and checked the schedule. "How about 10 o'clock in the morning, Master Ethan?"

 

Ethan nodded in agreement. "That works for me. Thank you, Victoria."

 

"My pleasure, Master Ethan. I'll take my leave now." She bowed slightly and walked out of the room.

 

After Victoria left, Ethan sat on the couch in a state of shock, still trying to process all that had happened. His mind was racing with the possibilities of what he could do with the vast wealth his father had just bestowed upon him.

 

As his thoughts began to wander, he realized that he was feeling hungry.

 

"I'm hungry, dad. I want to go out and get something to eat." He said 

 

"This hotel is now yours, Ethan; you can do anything you want freely." William replied with a smile.

 

Feeling elated, Ethan stood up and made his way towards the door. But just as he was about to leave, his father asked him about his marriage with Lily.

 

"By the way, how's your marriage with Lily going?"

 

Ethan's face fell at the mention of her name, he hesitated for a moment before responding.

 

"How did you know about Lily?" He asked

 

"I know everything about you, Ethan; I've got people giving me the information." William replied

 

Ethan nodded before sighing. 

 

"Lily cheated; after all, our marriage was fake, and we're divorced now, so I don't want to talk about her anymore." He said before stepping out of the room.

 

As he stepped out of the room, he was surprised to see the group of men still standing outside the door, who all turned to face him. To his amazement, each of them bowed respectfully to him, as if he was royalty. He felt a bit awkward and unsure of what to do, but he managed a small nod of acknowledgement. The men remained silent and motionless until he had walked down the hallway.

 

As he walked towards the elevator, he couldn't help but admire the opulence of the hotel's interior. The marble floors, the sparkling chandeliers, and the plush carpets under his feet all spoke of luxury and extravagance. It was hard to believe that he now owned this place.

 

A few customers were staring at him as he made his way to the reception desk. He couldn't blame them; he was shabbily dressed in his old jeans and a t-shirt, looking completely out of place in the grandeur of the Luxuria hotel. But he didn't care; he felt like he was on top of the world.

 

"Ethan!"

 

He heard his name being mentioned in a soft but loud voice behind him. He frowned and turned around to see a lady standing there, looking at him with an expression of surprise.
