In the game of poker, the hierarchy of winning card combinations goes from high card to one pair, two pairs, Three of a Kind, Straight, Flush, Full house, Four of a kind, Straight Flush, and lastly, The Royal Flush.

The higher one goes in the hierarchy of card combinations, the lesser the chances of having those card combinations.

What this meant was that not only did Alexander win against Tim but he did so with a probability that was very unlikely, which brought even bigger shame to Tim’s loss.

“You should have just gone with your gut feeling and resigned before the cards were revealed. Well, not that that would have mattered because the cards would have been revealed either way and everyone would have seen that your card combination ranks less than mine”, Alexander taunted, then threw his cards toward the center of the table where the community cards were.
