DATE WITH ROSETTA

Jonas walked up to me and laughed " What are you doing here pauper."

I smirked "What do you expect? I had come to shop like everyone here."

Davina looked at me and laughed out loud leaving me and Jonas to argue. Davina was about to pick a cloth when I said out loud " That is mine. I bought it already."

She looked at the price tag on it and looked back at me " I am sure in your wildest dream you can't afford this."

I looked back at the lady in front of me " I would like to shop everything I am seeing at the moment. Can you please tell every buyer to leave the boutique? Can I get your name, please?"

" Evelyn."

" Alright. Miss Evelyn, I need you to exit every buyer at the moment. I need to do my shopping." I requested politely

Jonas and Davina kept looking at me and smiled. " What are you trying to do? I am sure you must have been sent on an errand by someone rich. There is no way you can afford everything here."

I heard Evelyn make an announcement telling everyone to exit the building and come back later in the day.

I watched as everyone in the boutique murmured and left. Evelyn walked back to me and smiled " Done. What will you be ordering sir?"

I looked at her " Why are these two standing before me? They also need to leave for me to shop and get the things that I need."

Jonas looked at Evelyn "Don't tell me you are going to throw me out for this pauper? I have been shopping with you now for so long. This ain't fair."

I watched as Jonas and Davina were ushered out of the store. " Bye-bye," I said with a smile on my face. This was the first time I felt so good. I was able to humiliate Jonas and it felt good. " Give me everything you have in the store. I mean, all male clothes."

Evelyn looked at me again and smiled " Very well sir. Please have your seat while we work on your orders."

I sat down and looked at the shoes they were wearing. " Can you pick all the shoes you have along with the clothes? That would be nice."

Evelyn came back sweating " All done sir. Will you be packing them along or do you want us to have them delivered?"

I didn't come with a car so getting them delivered was the best option.

" You will be adding delivery fees sir if you would want us to have them delivered."

I looked at her and smiled " That won't be a problem. How much are my fees plus the delivery fees?"

" A total of $270000. Are you paying by cash or card?"

"Here."

I gave her my card and she swiped it with the machine. Evelyn was surprised to see that I could pay for what I had bought. I walked outside and saw the look on Jonas's face. He was still in shock that I could afford to shop in the same boutique with him

" What happened Jonas? It almost looked like you were seeing a ghost."

Davina looked at me " So, spending a little money you had saved thinking you could humiliate us? That is not going to work because I know you would be back to the poor and a leecher you have always been."

I laughed seeing the look of contempt on their faces but I hadn't started, I was going to turn their joy to tears and make them wish they had never messed with me. I looked at Davina and walked towards her, I watched as she moved back slowly with fear visibly showing in her eyes. She had never believed I would be this devilish. " You better brace yourself. You haven't seen the last of me."

I said and as I was about to turn. Jonas landed a huge blow to my face

[ Bang!] sending me to the floor.

" How dare you touch my woman? Who do you think you are?" he shouted at me

I laughed as I touched my jaw, feeling it was going to fall at any minute " A nobody but will soon become your greatest nightmare."

Jonas looked at me and I saw the fear in his eyes "Let go!."

I watched as he sped off leaving me on the ground. " Are you alright?"

I stood up and spit out the clotted blood in my mouth " I will be fine" I replied without looking at who I was talking to.

" You had better get some ice on that if you don't want it to scar."

I looked back to see that it was no other than Rosetta the most wanted girl on campus. Rose had always hated dating her pairs.

She goes around with the big and influential men. I didn't know what I had done to get her attention. She looked at me and smiled " You want to get revenge for what is been done to you. You can't, not dressed like that and not in that hairstyle."

I stood up looking at her " Not that you care anyways." I replied and Rose took some step backward " Alright, looks like you wanna be left alone."

I watched as she walked to her car. Suddenly an idea came into my mind. I had the money and I could afford anything I had always wanted. I looked at Rose and a sinister smile etched across my face. I walked to her car and bent slowly to catch a glimpse of Rosetta's face" Would you like to be my contract girlfriend for just four months? I would pay you whatever the cost."

Rosetta looked at me and smiled " What makes you think I would want to date a loser like you?"

" Because a loser like me could afford you," I replied looking at her

I saw the look in her eyes. Rosetta slowly removed the shade she was having on and hit her long polished nail against the dashboard. " Very well, but I must tell you. I am going to cost you a lot"

" Deal," I replied without thinking much about her words
