CHAPTER 7

Laine’s Point of View

Mr. and Mrs. Fardels are wanted. Their businesses are illegal medications and they sell it to various countries. They started their business a decade ago and they were caught because of inspection to one of their warehouses.

I was agitated and outraged because of what I have read. “GUYS!!!” I screeched and the folks inside of the master bedroom went outside. 

“We need to leave this place as soon as possible,” Jun said nervously.

“Do you know this?” I asked and showed them the newspaper.

“This newspaper was released earlier and I didn’t know about this,” Jun answered.

“Gosh, why there are different illegal substances in the room?” Joy said and I entered the room again. My optics augmented because of what I saw. Tons of illegal hallucinogens.

“This is the reason why I feel uncomfortable and I’m suspecting there are strange things in this house,” I said. Everyone surrounded the house with the eye. There’s neither too much furniture.

“I think this is one of their warehouses!” Minmin interfered. 

“Yes, it is,” Britney said calmly while touring her eyes.

“It’s better to leave before they attained! Faster guys!” Jun suggested and we ran downstairs. We reached the downstairs and Charlie including Kyle were confused about what’s happening.

“Hey? What’s the matter?” Kyle urged.

“This house was owned by the fumes pushers,” I stated and they were shocked. 

"Come on!" Charlie yelled. We instantly ran outside of the house. We noticed there are people outside therefore we proceed to the backyard to hide.

“Hun, why the door is open?” A lady asked.

“Maybe the helper passes by” 

“Wait, there is money here!” I don’t know what’s happening since we’re in the backyard. The house became silent for a moment.

A moment of silence passed and I broke it instantly. “They’re gone?” I asked.

“I think so” Simon answered. We scrupulously stood up and proceeded in front of the house.

“Tuuuugs!” Britney inadvertently ravaged a vase while moving.

“Who’s that?” A lady spoke.

“Let’s run after the 3. 1...2...3,” I said and we ran.

“Who are they???” The lady asked.

“Thieves!” I saw on my peripheral vision the couple and they’re mad about what we did. They also viewed Jun's bag full of their money. Since we don’t have any mode of transportation, we don’t have any choice but to run rapidly as much as possible.

“Catch and kill them” Little we did know, they’re the only one who’s in their house but we’re mistaken. Their aides are here and began to oust us. 

“Run guys! No one should be caught!” Jun screamed. This place is an urbanized one and it means, there are numerous people here.

“Shit!” Britney was stumbled but she stood quickly.

“I’m sorry!” I bang against a group of students.

“Catch them!” Mr. and Mrs. Fardel’s helper said but the students didn’t catch me.

“Are we near?” Kyle asked.

“Yes, but I don’t know if we will leave once we get there,” Jun said. Jeez! The seaside is just close in the house but I wish once we arrived at the ship, we depart instantly.

We entered a forest full of trees. It was dark here and the only light there is from the moon.

“Ouch!” Britney has tumbled again. We continued running while Charlie went back to her spot.

Before reaching Britney, she was caught by a man and she started to shoot through.

“Let go of me!!!” She screeched. I stopped running to see what’s happening. Charlie continued running and he quickly punches the man’s face that makes him lay down.

“Are you okay?” Charlie asked.

“Yes, but I don’t know if I can still run” Britney responded.

Charlie checked Britney’s leg. “You have a wound” He turned his back to Britney which means he will carry her.

“Make it faster. I know you’re fat” 

“Fat you’re face!” and she rides on Charlie’s back but before he started running, the guy earlier holds his foot that makes him stop.

“You fucking brave, huh?” Charlie said and he kicked the man’s ball that makes him screamed. I smiled and we started running again.

Charlie carried Britney a piggyback style. I understand he can now feel the burden from his back but he didn’t pay attention to it and remained running.

We’re getting close to the shore when a group of gangs started chasing us. I assume this is one of the couple’s helper. They have many connections anywhere.

Our run shifted triple more agile than usual. It feels like we’re running in an Olympic marathon.

I can see the ship is now moving and getting ready to embark. Captain Axle is waving a flag that symbolizes we’re departing.

We soaked in the water and after a while, we reached the ship. We saw the gangs are still following us. Good thing, we’re used to running fast. Before riding in the ship, we threw pieces of tear gas so they won’t catch us. The gas was exploded and everyone stopped running.

“Let's go, Captain!!!” Simon squealed and the ship moves fast than normal. We entered the ship and closed the door of it.

Joy’s Point of View

“That’s so close!” I said while panting. I am breathless because of what happened. We’re in the lounge of the ship chasing for our breaths and airs.

“What happened to all of you? Why they are hunting you?” Captain Axle asked. We looked at each other and we don’t know what to say.

“We just get into a fight. They’re rude. Right, guys?” Jun answered sparingly.

“Yes. It was so traumatic! Look Captain Axle on my leg, I got hurt” Britney interposed. The Captain look on her limb.

“What happened to that? Are you okay? Wait, I have first aid kit here” The captain brings out a box of first aid and spontaneously inaugurated it. He gets cotton and put alcohol on it.

“This might be painful but bear with it” He started dumping the cotton on Britney’s leg and it feels like she’s not hurt.

“Why you’re not reacting?” Charlie asked annoyingly.

“Because Captain Axle is so gentle” Britney replied smilingly.

“Gentle my ass” Charlie whispered which makes me smile. He looks cute whenever he feels jealous.

“What is our next destination?” Kyle asked.

“Marshal Islands” the captain responded.

“Where is that located?” Kaye asked.

“It still part of Oceania. Marshal Islands is part of the larger island group of Micronesia” 

“Woah that’s cool. You deliver a lot of parcels in each country...” Minmin rejoined.

“Yes! After it, we’re heading in Colombia. I think that will be 5-7 days traveling without any stopovers.”

“Really?” Britney asked shockingly.

“It is. We have no country or island to go through to stop over so you have to do what you have to do here on our last stop. Maybe we can get to the Marshall Islands tomorrow morning. For now, just rest okay?” Britney smirked to the Captain that makes Charlie rolled his eyes.

The captain left to check his crewmates. Before we head to our rooms, Jun started a meeting first.

“Did you hear that guys? It’s our last stop tomorrow. We are going to do our last robbery tomorrow and I hope everyone coordinates. Okay?” Jun started the conversation.

“So, what is it?” I asked interrogatory.

“Do you hear the word Ransomware?” he asked. It feels like I heard it in a movie.

“Yeah I just heard it from you” Britney answered that makes everyone chuckled.

“You stupid! What I mean is do you know what ransomware is?” everyone thinks deeply but no ideas pop into our minds.

“Ransomware is a type of malware from crypto virology that threatens to publish the victim's data or perpetually block access to it unless a ransom is paid,” Jun answered his question.

“Wait, what?” Laine asked.

“Ransomware is like a virus that threatens to publish the victim’s data or infinitely block access to it unless they gave money.” He explained deeply.

“So how will the plan work?” Simon asked.

“My dad used to work in the Marshall Islands before. I spoke to Axle and fortuitously, we’re going to that place. Before we stripped Mr. and Mrs. Reyes’ house, I am preparing to travel through the Marshall Islands and push that plan but thankfully, we found the Map for El Dorado. To make the story short, ransomware is just like blackmailing. We’re going to hack my dad’s company server before” Jun explained.

“Wait how will you do the hacking method? Are you an IT degree holder?” Kaye asked snappily

“No. It doesn’t mean I am not an IT graduate; I can’t do it. I borrowed my friend’s device before we left and I am going to use it. He also taught me how to use it. I have an experience when it comes to hacking so don’t worry.” 

“Just a moment. What happened? It seems like you making your vengeance?” Minmin asked.

“They made my dad suffer to their company. Plus, my dad told me their ignominy.” Jun responded. I observed his face thoroughly and he looks stubborn and exasperated.

“Help me to get revenge and let’s chill with the money we will take...”

The discussion has finished and we headed to our rooms. I stared at my watch and it’s still early and I decided to go to the lobby of the ship.

I take a sit and tranquility watching the waves of waters. “I am not expecting I will get in this point,” I said.

“Do you have any regrets on your mind?” My eyes widened as I heard a voice. It’s Jun.

“No! I’m just surprised at what’s happening” I said and smiled at him awkwardly.

He sat beside me “Why you’re still up? I told everyone to sleep so you can recoup energy for what happened today.” He stated.

“It’s still early though,” I replied. A second later, he gave me a can of beer that makes me glanced at him.

He has the most peaceful face in the world. His skin is like the color of milk. His nose is pointed and his lips are kissable.

“Do you want?” I came back to reality when he suddenly spoke. I became lisp.

“T-thank you” I responded while stuttering.

“You have a high alcohol tolerance thence one bottle of beer won't affect you,” he told humorously and we both laughed.

“How about you? Why you’re still up?” I questioned. 

“Like you, I can’t sleep. To be honest, I am always here in the evening staring in the privation and talking to God” I became intrigued and fascinated as I heard the word ‘God.’

“So, what do you say to him often?” 

He sipped his beer and started talking again “I am grateful to have friends who’re always on my side whenever I need them. It’s not obvious on me though but I wanted to say thank you to everyone but I always get shy” and he chuckles. He’s strong but has a soft heart.

“We’re also thankful to you for the helps you gave even we didn’t give it back yet to you,” I said.

“I am happy to help everyone. Helping others doesn’t mean you need to give it back to the same person who gave it to you. Sometimes we should pass it to other personages and let them pass it until the love spreads.” His words caressed my core. I love what he has said.

“That’s well said!” and we tossed our cans.

Majuro City

We successfully arrived in Majuro City. Majuro is the capital and largest city of the Marshall Islands. It is also a large coral atoll of 64 islands in the Pacific Ocean. It forms a legislative district of the Ratak (Sunrise) Chain of the Marshall Islands. The atoll has a land area of 9.7 square kilometers (3.7 sq mi) and encloses a lagoon of 295 square kilometers or 114 sq mi. As with other atolls in the Marshall Islands, Majuro consists of narrow landmasses. It has a tropical trade wind climate, with an average temperature of 27 °C (81 °F).

It’s now sunny here. The temperature is not that hot and cold. The Philippines is hotter than here.

“See you later, guys!” Captain Axle said and they ride a truck where the parcels were placed. They need to deliver it to the couriers.

“Shall start the plan?” Jun asked us. Everyone smiled and we’re excited about this plan.
