Desperately looking for a way to get out of this mess, Archer stayed home while telling Lydia to handle the company for the day.

Lydia didn’t question him but she knew there was something wrong. Archer laid on his bed, deep in thoughts when his phone rang.

He sighed when he saw it was Damien. He gathered his momentum for what was an interrogation.

“Hello?” He answered.

“Archer, I heard what happened. Well, more like Allen called me and told me himself. Is it true? Are you giving up your partnership with me for them?”

Archer let out a dry chuckle, it was so damn heart warming that Damien’s immediate question wasn’t about the accusation but business. He appreciated that.

“I don’t know, man. Everything is so damn fucked up,”

“Do they have something on you?” Damien asked.

Archer paused, “they didn’t tell you. What exactly did Allen say when he called you?”

“He said there has been some changes and you have agreed to relinquish your right to the land and the partnership to them. He
