Brian stepped into Star City University with Melanie, Charlene, and Dalton three days after his arrival. It was Wednesday. After being absent from school for three weeks, coming in now felt...odd to him. He had never been suspended before. Was this how it felt to return after being suspended? As they walked towards the main building, students walking around them glanced at him and murmured to themselves. He guessed three weeks of his absence didn't suppress the rumors."Look, the gay couple are back." Brian heard some female students murmur among themselves as they moved past them."Gosh, we are still on this?" Dalton groaned. "Well, it's going to be one hell of a class today.""I don't see the point of coming to this school," Melanie said. "We've lost too many points. To get promoted to the next class we'll have to score a hundred percent and that's technically not possible unless you consider cheating.""Let's just enroll into another," added Charlene."I know. But I can't just lea
Later that day, at seven o'clock in Richard's mansion, Brian sat under a gazebo near the swimming pool with Melanie and Charlene. Dalton was inside the mansion. "Wait hold on." Charlene held up her hand after listening to Brian's hypothesis of Mr. Jim's departure. "What makes you think he was kidnapped?""I just said it. It's unusual for Mr. Jim to leave without informing us." Brian said."Maybe he forgot or something else happened.""It's been a month and nothing. Trust me, Charlene. Something is up. Mr. Jim would have called us unless something happened.""And you think he's been kidnapped?" "Well...considering the current crisis going on in our city, it is possible," Melanie said. "I hope these kidnappers get caught soon and peace will return to our beloved city.""Are they really kidnappers though? I mean if they were kidnappers they'd have dropped a note for ransom and so far we haven't heard of any ransom conditions." Charlene pointed out. Brian hummed as he thought of this.
Brian became alert after hearing the beep. He hadn't checked the GPS on his phone, mainly because it was dead, but he was certain it was Melanie in trouble. Why else would she waste time in there?Brian grabbed his Silverfang-2000 from the car storage compartment and hid it in his clothes, strapping it with the edge of his jeans and covering it with his singlet. He came out of the car and rushed towards the front door. He contemplated. Should he wait for Dalton and Charlene to come? They too must have had the alert. But they are far away and waiting for them to arrive is only endangering Melanie more.He had to do something.Ready for anything, Brian inserted his hand into his singlet and opened the door with his other hand.Much to his surprise, the door opened and revealed the living room. The light bulb was switched on but there was not a soul in the room. Or so he thought. Brian walked in, leaving the door open. His eyes swiftly swept across the room for any sign of movement.*T
Butterflies fluttered in his stomach. Was he really about to have his first kiss?Charlene's heart pounded as Dalton's hot breath touched her nose. His brown lips were only inches away and she closed her eyes. And...*BEEP BEEP*Their watch started beeping and flashing red.***Melanie struggled with the two masked men holding her in Alexia's bedroom. One held her torso covering her mouth while the other man tried to tie her ankles with a rope. They had been struggling for almost fifteen minutes now. The men didn't think Melanie would be this strong. How did they end up like this? When Melanie entered the house, she spoke with Alexia about her pregnancy for some minutes. Alexia went to her room to get something and Melanie heard her scream. She rushed to her room only to be grabbed by these men and they've been struggling since. The man's grip was tight but Melanie still wriggled and struggled, making it difficult for them to tie her down. "Stay still, you." The man holding hissed an
After hearing the police siren, Patricia's face split into a sneer. "You are in so much trouble." She cleared her throat and screamed at the top of her voice. "Help. Somebody help, quickly. He wants to rape me." Brian realized the situation here. She was naked, he was hard and had a gun. He would seem like the guilty one. He quickly hid his gun inside his pants. The siren stopped wailing and silence fell upon the neighborhood. Patricia kept screaming, her voice now louder. "Somebody help quick. He has a gun." For some seconds nothing happened. Then, Brian heard footsteps approaching the door. The doorknob shook. "Help, quick." Patricia kept shouting. The knob shook violently. When the person probably discovered the door was locked, he or she started banging the door, each bang harder and louder than the last. Patricia's evil smile spread wider. *CRASH* The door crashed open hitting the wall. The top hinge broke, making the door bend. "Thank you. Thank you so...." Patri
Melanie woke up to the scent of iodoform. She closed her eyes immediately as a bright white light almost blinded her. Using her hands to block the light rays, she opened her eyes and blinked speedily to unblur her eyesight. She was in a room that almost looked like a hospital ward. The windows were closed, so the only source of light was the white light bulb. Almost everything in the ward was white including the walls, ceiling, bed she was lying on, the first aid box attached to the wall, and the white cupboard next to a white table that had a sterilizer on it. Melanie had no problem knowing which room she was in. It was Richard's mansion infirmary. She was dressed in a white patient gown. She touched her side and felt medical plasters covering her injury. Apart from a slight headache and a little pain from her injury, she seemed okay. The door opened as Brian and Charlene walked in to check on her. "Mel, thank goodness." Charlene beamed and bent towards her. "How are you feeli
They all gasped after Alexia's revelation."Gabe?" Brian said. "How was Gabe able to get it?""How am I supposed to know? Ask his girlfriend. Or you can ask him yourself." Alexa spat."Alexia..." Brian started to say but she cut him off."If you don't have anything interesting to say you can leave my ward."Brian shook his head. "Gosh, I can't believe you are still this spiteful even after everything that happened. I can sue you for sexual assault, you know.""Go ahead then. Sue me. My life is worthless now anyway."Brian sighed. "There was a better way to do this. You could have asked for help a better way and there are lots of people willing to help in a legal way, unlike Patricia. But you chose to commit a crime.""Just leave me alone." Alexia croaked and started sobbing."Alexia," Charlene said, feeling a tinge of sympathy for her. "It's not over. There are still people or organizations who can still help you.""I don't want anyone's help," Alexia stated adamantly."So what are yo
Finding Gabe's house wasn't a problem. They just had to ask Lana for it. Even though she wondered why they asked, she told them. So, that same Thursday, at night, Dalton parked a black Toyota Corolla near the building next to Gabe's house.Brian examined the neighborhood. The area was secluded from the highway so it was quiet. Only the chirping of crickets from the bushes could be heard. The neighborhood gave a haunted vibe."Good. Let's do this." Brian said. They emerged from the car. They were all dressed in black turtlenecks, black elastic pants, black boots, and black beanies. The black contrasted with the darkness, so it was difficult to spot them in the dark. Two Gray Guardians, which Brian brought to help, came out of the car behind them.Brian took the lead. He walked cautiously towards Gabe's bungalow front door. As expected, the front door was locked. Gabe and his friends weren't home.On the highway, they saw them leave with their new car. Their departure was Brian's clue t
