Chapter Twenty Eight

Alex offered to drive Olivia back home, sensing that she needed some time to process everything that had happened. As they made their way back to her house, the silence between them was palpable, heavy with the weight of their shared history and the uncertainty of their future.

As they were leaving the hospital, Alex turned to Olivia he could sense the uncertainty in her eyes. "We have a lot to talk about," he said firmly, his voice filled with resolve. She looked up at him, before nodding. Taking a closer look at her, he could see that she was stressed, as evident in the weary look she bore. He had started to feel sorry for her at this point, neither of them had planned for a pregnancy, especially not with the way they had virtually ended things between them.

When they arrived, Alex turned off the engine and turned to face Olivia, his expression softening with empathy. "You should rest," he said gently, his voice filled with concern. "I'll call you tomorrow."
