It was Kendra, Rieka's cousin.

Immediately she rushed in, she switched the TV on.

She couldn't help but glare at Rieka and Noah.

She had her seat as everyone focused on what was displayed on the TV.

Brucy was addressing the press and announcing Rieka as his newly appointed personal assistant.

It was rare! Brucy Kings, the chairman of Top Notch Group addressing the press in person?

Suddenly, Senior Fullams clapped. “This is a great achievement, dear Rieka. With this, the Fullams business will thrive again.”

“Getting married to Liam Grichy will smoothen our relationship with Top Notch Group,” Lois said.

She ignored Noah's presence.

“What's all this about? I was given out as a bondwoman, but the man decided to get married to me and now you expect me to divorce him and get married to another man. Is this some kind of joke?”

“So what? That's in the past and now you have to do as I say.” Liam spoke angrily.

“Who do you think you are…” Rieka snapped at Liam and turned to Noah. “Let's go!”

Senior Fullams stood up.

He did not know what Rieka did that made Brucy Kings choose her as his personal assistant.

It was Rieka who got the job, Noah wasn't mentioned for once. The Grichys also have a say about who works in Top Notch Group, Rieka could lose her appointment on Liam's order.

“Rieka, you randomly met this so-called Noah. Now you have a wider opportunity with Liam. My final decision is, to end whatever you have with him and marry Liam.” He said.

Boldly, Rieka said. “I've also made my decision. We have to go now.” She said holding Noah's hand.

“Are you sure about this?” Noah asked calmly.

Rieka nodded.

“You want to prove stubborn, step out of that door and bid your new appointment bye.” Liam giggled.

Rieka was scared and in a state of dilemma. She did not want to lose the job and in the same light, she couldn't divorce Noah.

She looked at Noah, tears pricking the corner of her eyes. “Sweetheart, just relax. Let's see if Liam can terminate your appointment with Top Notch Group.”

Coldly, Liam said. “Are you daring me?”

The Fullams were curious.

“Just a minute!”

Liam took out his phone and placed a call.

He looked confident.

“Hi, Mister Shawn. It's Liam Grichy. I'd like you to confirm the new appointment given to Rieka Fullams. I want the appointment terminated.”

On the other side of the phone.

Shawn was the second in command after Bruce. He was lost. He wasn't aware of any new appointments. “I'll get back to you as soon as possible.”

“Alright.”

He hung up.

Noah spoke, “What did he say?”

“Is someone scared?” Liam asked sarcastically.

A few minutes later, his secretary submitted some files on his table.

He was always aware of everything that happened in the company but this was unusual.

Going through the files, he saw that the name “Rieka Fullams” had been added to the payroll.

He called the chairman. Wanting to know who she was and how she got a job without his consent. And emphasized that their new partner's family, Grichys, wants to know.

“Shawn, you have no right to question me. And as for the Grichys, what gave them the audacity to question my decisions or request that her appointment be terminated?”

Brucy ensured that every deal and partnership with the Grichys was terminated.

After the call, Shawn was shocked and felt reluctant to return Liam's call.

Liam was tired of waiting for his call, so he called back but got no response.

He called again, no response.

Liam concluded that Shawn was trying to confirm the authenticity of her appointment letter.

Finally, Shawn called back. Liam's phone was on loudspeaker.

“Hello, Liam. Yes, Rieka Fullams got an appointment with the company as the chairman's personal assistant. She is next in command after the Bruce Kings. Our deal with the Kendicles has also been terminated.”

They stared at each other in disbelief.

“What?”

“That's impossible. There must be a mix-up. How did she become the second in command? You cannot terminate Kendicles contract for no just cause.” Liam was shocked.

Suddenly, Rieka's phone rang.

It was Brucy Kings. He got her contact from the credentials she submitted.

Immediately, she ensured her phone was on loudspeaker.

“Hi Rieka, do you have any relationship with the Grichys?”

“H-Hello sir, not at all. He only threatened me that if I don't marry him, my appointment with Top Notch Group will be terminated.”

“He must be a fool! How dare he? He needs to be taught a lesson. Forget about him. No one can terminate your appointment. I'll deal with him now.”

Brucy hung up.

Noah gave a mocking glare at Liam.

Liam wasn't convinced. “Who did you call? He can do nothing. What's this about dealing with me? He doesn't know who the Grichys are.”

Brucy gave an order. “Seize every liquidated asset that belongs to the Grichys within the next 30 minutes.

At his order, everything gets done instantly.

“Are you still doubting my connection with the Top Notch Group? You should be grateful I want you to be mine. A lot of girls are throwing themselves at me because of the opportunities they stand to gain.”

“Shut up! You spoiled brat.” Rieka spilled.

“Watch your tongue, girl,” Tom warned.

Noah couldn't help but smile. He wanted to see how the whole scenario would end. Turning to Rieka who was still trying to figure out why the chairman of Top Notch Group deemed it fit to call her. “You have gotten into Mister King's good book. You need to share the secret with me.” He smiled.

Liam wasn't moved. He doubted Mister Shawn's words and felt Brucy's call to Rieka was staged.

“He doesn't know what is ahead of him!”

The next minute, Liam received a call from Fiona. “Where are you? Return home this moment. There's an urgent family meeting.”

Liam was nervous.
