Chapter 14

Outside Lord Salvador's villa, a fleet of luxurious cars gathered. All the dignitaries in Oakville were there for the celebration.

At the main entrance, a heavy looking man held a microphone in his hand, enthusiastically announcing the presents that guests had brought.

“The underground group as controlled by Karl Scott presented a painting, Nu Couché by Amedeo Modigliani Nu Couché, worth over twelve million dollars, and they wish Lord Salvador good wealth.”

“The children Seth and Carl have gifted their father a Patek Philippe Ref watch worth eleven million dollars...”

Seated in the foyer, Salvador was dressed in a well tailored white suit and blazer, polished leather loafers, a gold ring, and a pocket square in his blazer.

Although he was 76, he looked fit and alert. Hearing about all the gifts he was getting, he looked as happy as a lark.

The banquet was full of people from important families in Oakville.

Even the second-rate Morris family made it down.

Lord Edward Morris in an attempt to get a gift for the celebrant had pulled out all the stops, spending a small fortune to get a Monique wallet for Lord Salvador.

Everyone was working really hard trying to make their own connections and expand their networks, especially in the midst of the most recognized men families in Oakville.

Just outside the villa, a man was sighted wearing a black coat and a mask on his face, as he approached the entrance carrying a cask of wines. The cask weighed at least 70 kilograms, but the man supported it with just one arm, carrying it with ease.

It was Danny.

His return was fueled by just two reasons. To repay Kim for her kindness, and to avenge his family.

As he did not want to be recognized and get Kim into trouble, he put on a black mask to conceal his identity.

As he got to the entrance, he threw the cask with all his strength. It shattered the Salvador’s door and landed in the foyer of the Lord Salvador’s villa, releasing the contents of the cask and staining everyone in close proximity.

Everyone startled and was shocked at the sudden intrusion.

The whole grind became quiet as the noise stopped abruptly. It was so quiet one could hear a pin drop.

What is going on?

Lord Salvador was chatting with other heads of family when the cask came sailing through.

His expression darkened, his face laced with anger and he shouted.

“What's this? And where are the security guards? What are they doing? Who dares throw a cask at me? Take it out at once and get that individual arrested.”

“Lord Salvador, I present this cask to you as a birthday gift? Drink to the fullest as It's your seventh sixth birthday today, and your last birthday because by this time next year, it will be your death anniversary.”

A voice rang out from outside the doors. A man with a black coat and a ghost mask sauntered in.

Salvador stared at Danny. This was Salvador’s place, and he was the head of the family, a very important person in Oakville.

"Who... who the hell are you and what do you want?”

“Who gave you the guts to cause trouble at my home?"

Danny's dark clothing and mask helps him blend into the shadows, his demeanor exudes an air of secrecy and caution as he walks in, making him appear enigmatic and dangerous.

“I'm someone who wants your life, for all your atrocities and debt you owe, I have come to collect.”

Just as Danny was speaking and walking towards where Lord Salvador was seated, a man in his twenties, possibly a guard dressed in a black suit walked towards Danny and pointed at him.

“Not today. I don't care who you are or what you think you're doing here today but When you're at the Salvador s, we're in charge.”

That was Nico Murray, one of the guards on duty. Still pointing at Danny. He tried taking off Danny's mask, but since he couldn't, he said, coldly

“You're a coward for hiding behind a mask. Let's see who you are.”

Danny this time attacked. Grabbed Nico's arm and lifted him off the ground before twisting it.

Crack! His bone left an echoing sound across the whole complex.

Nico's arm was torn clean off his body. Blood fountains everywhere.

“Ah... My hand”

Nico howled in frustration and agony.

The whole environment became so quiet as all the guests were in shock. As people of status and reputation, they had never seen such violence before. Many of them stumbled backward, worried what might happen next.

Looking unconcerned, Danny released Nico's arm carelessly. He had a confident, aggressive air about him. Coupled with his display of power earlier on, the Salvador's were now all scared that they were trembling, backing away as much as they could.

Just as Danny was about to get close to Lord Salvador and get his revenge, his glance fell on Kim Morris.

He lost it for a few minutes trying to get himself together and almost immediately, more than fifty armed heavy looking men stormed the villa.

With thudding sounds coming from their heavy boots, like they came prepared to kill.
