Gary was sitting on the cart, next to Leah. None of Gary, Leah, Sesi, or Rowan could react. The gas spread in the blink of an eye, and it immediately tried to soothe their nerves, making everyone fall asleep in a second.All four of them collapsed to the ground.“Easy, peasy, spidey, breezy!” The spider with a human head quickly came over to wrap them up in webs. As he was wrapping up Rowan’s body with care, he heard a faint noise and looked back.Gary grabbed Leah’s sword and tried to decapitate the spider in one go. But its neck was so thick that the sword only went an inch inside. “Gwuh!” blood released from the spider’s neck and mouth. “You bastard! There was silence all around Gary, which helped him easily focus inwardly, into his own body and feel the energy that was coursing all through his body with no set place to reside at.“Is this the reason that I’m unable to sleep properly?” Gary wondered. His body felt like it was having a mild fever recently, so he wasn’t having it easy to slip into sleep.[Don’t think about other things.] Ai’s voice softly rang in his mind. Venny the spider queen with humanoid features had quite a voracious appetite. She was so frustrated at the moment that she began to eat every animal in sight, other than her own kind and the humans.There were some monsters roaming around through the woods, and some of these monsters were made by Monster Maker Marut, who was the First Key.Venny especially hated them, and so she didn’t spare them at all when she came across them.“How can that bastard create monsters in the territory my god and king Yves is present?” Venny grimaced in anger. “Does he think he can do anything just because he’s the First Key! I will kill all his creations and show him who’s really superior!”Even though she didn’t look that big, she was able to eat creatures that were ten times bigger than her just by slurping them into her mouth.
