CHAPTER 49

The doctor leaned forward, his expression shifted slightly. “Mr Harrison, your son, Jack, was poisoned.”

“Poisoned!!” He exclaimed in shock and disbelief.

“Yes,” the doctor nodded, “We have managed to flush most of it out, but it was close, too close. I tried my best, but he is stable and I have assigned a nurse to look after him.”

“Can you please tell me what happened and where you were at the time of the incident.” the doctor abruptly asked.

Mr. Harrison sighed heavily as he began explaining to the doctor everything that happened and where the incident happened. The doctor nodded in understanding, as he listened intently.

“It's a good thing he was brought here on time; it helped us catch the poison early. And he is young, so his body may recover fully, but there is a risk. We will do everything possible to prevent any lasting harm.”
