Chapter 2

It was from Jordan Norman, one of the rich dudes in school. Jordan is known for his luxurious lifestyle and how he changed female students weekly.

Jack unlocked his phone and he read through the message. “There is a party at my house tonight, I need a server. 20 Dollars per hour, let me know if you are interested.” Jack was excited when he saw the message. He was about to jump into happiness, but he maintained his composure; his face was engulfed with smiles.

He quickly replied to the message, “I am interested, send time and address.”

“What is it,” Harry asked after seeing the expression on Jack’s face.

“I got a job tonight and the pay is good,” He replied.

“That’s nice, so where is it,” Harry asked.

“Yeah, I know. It’s at Jordan’s apartment.”

“Are you sure you want to do this?” Harry intoned.

Jack nodded his head in response, he knew he would make a lot of money. A student party usually lasts for six to five hours and making 20 dollars per hour would help him achieve most of the requirements he needs for school. The thought of the Hilton twins made his mind sink deeply, but he jerked off the thought.

Jack was in his final year at school. He was in the business management department. He knew going to school was the only way for him to get a better life and to give his grandmother a good life as well.

After their brief conversation, they were going to class when the most beautiful girl in the school, Clara Grant, walked in with two of her friends, Anastasia and Sophie.

Jack, who had been having a secret affair with Clara, moved closer and tried grabbing her hand, but she refused.

“Are you insane? Who are you and what do you want?” She asked, rolling her eyes at him disdainfully.

Jack was speechless, he kept mute. He was so excited about his new job that he forgot their rules. He quickly apologized, and Harry dragged his friend away from the girls.

“What is wrong with you, Jack? Do you want to get yourself into trouble? Don’t you know she is from a rich family and guys like us have nothing to do with her type?” Harry said with his voice barely above a whisper.

“I am sorry, Man. I was carried away by excitement,” he said.

Harry gazed at him in confusion, he shook his head and giggled lightly. “ Do you like her?” He asked.

Jack furrowed his brow in excitement, but he kept a calm expression; he was not ready to tell his friend about his secret affair with Clara because he knew Harry would never believe him, even if he showed him his chat with Clara on Ins*****m.

Jack glanced at his phone and noticed it was almost time for his afternoon class, so he informed his friend before running towards his class entrance. Both friends might share the same room, but they are in different departments.

Harry is more focused on his engineering degree while Jack is focused on his business classes.

After the class, Jack rushed to the restaurant where he was supposed to work for three hours; he was through with his job as a cleaner there. While getting ready for his other job, he received a message from Jordan; it was the location of the party. Jack smiled as he quickly raced through the busy city towards Jordan’s apartment.

On getting to Jordan’s apartment, he quickly changed up his clothes. Wearing a white shirt and black pants with a tie, he was not the only server Jordan had hired for the night. There were four other people, and they were older than him.

Jack was busy with his work, the party started pulsing with energy as the sound of music filled the air, mingling with laughter and chattering. Colorful light danced across the room, casting a playful pattern on the wall and adding to the festive atmosphere.

In the corner of the room, a group of friends gathered around. Laughter erupts as they attempt to mix the perfect cocktail, experimenting with different combinations of ingredients.

Jack moved from one place to another with him carefully balancing the tray filled with drinks, amid the sea of faces that were present at the party. Jack found his girlfriend, Clara Grant; she stood in the fat corner of the room, surrounded by a small group of friends.

“Hey, Jack, come here. I want more drinks.” One of the students screamed from afar.

Jack rushed towards where he had been called. He dropped the tray low for the student to grab a drink, but his eyes were still glued to Clara. He saw how Jesse Warren came close to her, gripping her from behind and their bodies locked together.

Jesse is the son of Lincoln Warren, the CEO of Warren Enterprise. He is the richest kid in Crestview and he is the most handsome dude. He is known for his arrogant and rude lifestyle, but students are scared of saying anything to him, not even his friends.

He was boiling in inner anger. Eric noticed how his eyes were fixated on Jesse and Clara, and he noticed the sudden expression on his face.

So he pushes Jack with his hand, allowing the drink to fall on him, causing Jack to stare back at the scene before him, his jaw dropped in disbelief.

“What were you thinking? Look at how you ruined my clothes.” He fumed.

Jack was extremely shocked, he blamed himself for what happened, and he allowed his emotions to cloud his mind and not focus on why he was there. But who would be happy seeing the person he loves be locked passionately with another guy?

The scenes grabbed some attention, while others continued to groove to the best of the music. Their bodies move in sync with the rhythm.

“I am sorry; please forgive me. It was a mistake.” Jack pleads, he drops the tray on the table close to him.

He tries to help clean Eric’s clothes with the handkerchief he brought out of his back pocket.

“What are you doing? How dare you use such dirty stuff to wipe my shirt.” He said, as his hand hurled on Jack’s face, and he fell backwards, hitting his back hard on the floor.

Jack cracked his phone screen because it was in his back pocket.

Some young students laughed at the way he fell sluggishly, so they took their phones to record him.

Jordan and Elvis rushed to where Jack and the male student were, “what is going on, Eric?” Jordan asked with a deep voice.

“Your servant Jack here poured a drink at me, Jordan,” Eric said with his voice filled with irritation.

Jordan glared at Jack, who was still seated on the floor. “What are you still doing there? Get up and clean up this mess?” He said angrily, referring to the ground that had been messed up with drinks.

“Wait,” Eric said, he wasn’t willing to let Jack go easily.
