Chapter 20

To say my anxiety was through the roof would be an understatement.  Here I was just standing on the side of the road watching Todd’s windowless white van getting put on a flatbed tow truck while I waited for my Uber driver.  This was certainly not the ideal time or place to be considered that the demon boy, if it was him, tried to kill us in a potentially violent car crash.  The demon boy had gone too far, risking strangers lives just to wipe me off the face of the Earth. 

Todd had called the Uber for me so I had no idea who my Uber driver would be or what the driver would be pulling up in.  This was the ideal situation to get kidnapped in, especially considering the fact that my right hand was utterly useless and throbbing in pain.  My hand turned from a taco shape to a grotesque blob, still riddled with a black outline and blood highlighting the Latin letters.  Wh
