This Woman's Anger

After spending time with Bianca by the beach, Lucas felt relaxed. The cool sea breeze and the soothing sound of the waves calmed him.

The taxi driver, a middle-aged man with a friendly smile, nodded as Lucas got into the taxi. They began their journey to the luxury hotel in the city center.

However, shortly after they started moving, the taxi suddenly stopped with the engine dying in the middle of heavy traffic. Lucas sighed, slightly annoyed.

“Sorry, sir. It seems the car broke down,” the driver said apologetically.

Lucas nodded. “Try starting it again; it might work.” Lucas hoped it was still possible to continue the journey. The driver assured him he would do his best to get Lucas to his destination.

Lucas nodded and took out his phone. “Try starting it again. I’ll call my colleague.” The driver tried several times without success. Meanwhile, Lucas dialed Joe’s number and waited for the call to connect.

“Hello, Joe? It’s Lucas,” Lucas said when Joe answered the call.
