Chpater 3: Black Winged Figure

This morning Hermes woke up earlier than usually. He started getting ready to go teaching at the school. He wanted to immediately meet his favorite student. He wanted to make sure that his disciple didn't have any trouble for today.

“This morning I have to hurry to go to school. I want to be able to see Charun in good condition this morning," Hermes said as he rushed to get his bag.

Hermes was feeling much calmer now than the night before Thanatos met him.

When he arrived at school, many students greeted him as usual. Hermes returned the greeting very kindly. He continued to show his happy smile this morning.

After arriving at his class, namely class 1-D, he did not find the person he was looking for. Currently, his eyes are roaming all corners of the room in his classroom looking for his favorite student, Charun.

"Good morning, children," said Hermes, starting his teaching time.

"Good morning sir," answered the students in unison.

"How are you guys today?" Hermes asked.

"Okay sir," said all the students.

After greeting his students, this time he asked the whereabouts of Charun to all the students.

"Is there anyone who hasn't come yet? Where's Charun? Has anyone seen it?” Hermes asked.

"I don't know, sir," answered the students in unison.

Hearing that none of the students knew of Charun's whereabouts, he panicked. Hermes decided to find Charun's whereabouts by going around the school first this time.

"Okay students. We will start our material first while waiting for Charun’s arrival. Please do the questions that you will write on the blackboard, students, "said Hermes.

"Okay sir,"

After writing the questions on the blackboard, Hermes immediately rushed out of the classroom to look for Charun’s whereabouts. He was very confused about the whereabouts of his student, because Charun did not convey any permission either to Hermes or to his other friends.

“Charun, where are you,” Hermes said.

Hermes ran to the park, office and all over the school but couldn't find Charu.

"I have to look for you where else Charun," Hermes said.

After giving up on not finding Charun, Hermes finally returned to class because there were still other students who had to be given material.

With a tired and slightly weak body, Hermes entered the classroom.

"Hello students. Have you finished your work?” said Hermes with a still disappointed look on his face.

"Yes sir," answered the students.

As Hermes looked at the back row, he saw the child who was the center of his attention.

"Charun?" Hermes asked.

"Yes sir, I am," said Charu who started to walk to the front of the class.

“I apologize to Pak Hermes and all of his friends because this morning I had a slight fever so I had to go to the doctor before arriving at school. Therefore, I was late to get to school. I apologize if I make friends and Mr. Hermes wait, worry, or don't like my treatment that is not late," said Charun.

"I promise not to repeat it in the future. If there are other urgent matters, I will contact Mr. Hermes first. Sorry and thank you for your concern,” said Hermes who stepped back to his seat.

All the students fell silent and were astonished to see Charun’s mature attitude. No one said anything at this point. In addition to his friends who were silent, Hermes was also still silent and very proud of his student.

"Are you okay now, Charun?" Hermes asked.

"Yes sir," replied Charun ending with a sweet smile.

"I'm sorry sir for making Pak Hermes and friends worry," he continued.

"It's okay Charun. We are very proud of your attitude. If there is any problem you can contact me, Charu, "said Hermes.

"Okay sir, thank you," replied Charun with a slight bowing of his head.

"All applause for Charun," Hermes said to all his students.

After hearing the teacher's invitation, all the students in the class applauded and smiled at Charu.

"You're cool Charun," said one student.

The bell rang indicating that all classes were over and the students could leave the classroom. This time Charu came home a little later than usual because he had to do some questions that his friends had done when he was late this morning.

"I have to solve all these problems quickly," said Charun who was thinking about solving all the problems in front of him.

After Charun finished his problem, he rushed to go home because he was in the class itself in a state that was getting late. The situation in this class is indeed very scary at night. Therefore, when there are night activities or whatever, this class is always vacated so that things don't happen that you don't want.

"It's a little cold in here, I have to get out quickly," said Charun who stepped quickly.

As Charun walked through the halls of his classroom, there was someone Charu seemed to know.

"Who is that?" Charun asked himself.

At this time, Charun was a little creeped out by the situation in the hallway which was very humid and dim.

To answer his curiosity, Charu followed the person step by step carefully.

"Mr Hermes, is that him?" Charun asked himself.

Charun stopped his steps when he saw the young man was also doing the same movement.

"What is Mr. Hermes doing in a place like this," said Charu in a small whisper.

Hermes stopped next to a large banyan tree next to his school. There, he was together with a large, winged tall figure.

"Why is someone sleeping there, what happened?" Charun asked curiously.

"What should I do, and what is Mr Hermes doing?" said Charun who was still confused by the events in front of him.

After thinking for a while, he now knew what had happened.

From what he had seen, he could deduce that the person seemed to be in the process of taking his life, but he couldn't explain the details.

Charun is still focused on what he sees in front of him.

On the other hand, Hermes is still focused on his activities.

“I have already sent it to the underworld. Thank you Thanatos," Hermes said.

“Thank you Hermes for the cooperation. Now all you need to do is tell his family about this truth and ask his family to pray for him,” said Thanatos.

"Yes Thanatos," Hermes replied.

"Okay, our business is done for today. I will return to my place and I entrust the mortal world to you. Take care and do your job properly," Thanatos said while flapping his wings.

"Okay Thanatos thank you very much," Hermes said with a slight bow.

After seeing Thanatos leave, Hermes began taking care of the body and looking after it. However, as he began to move his body, his eyes looked towards the bushes there was a small child he recognized who was walking away from him.

"Charun?" said Hermes.

"Did he see all this? What is he thinking right now?” said Hermes with a panicked face.
