Devastated

"You're not fit to be in here, get out!" A voice said calmly pointing at the door.

"But, you can't do this to me, I need this job, sir." Harrison sighed as he pleaded.

"No, we can't give you this job, you're unfit for it, so get out." The man shook his head, still pointing at the door.

"But..."

"Just get out of the damn door!" The man suddenly flared banging the table as he stood up in a fit of rage.

"Sir, you have to be considerate, I met all the qualifications for this job, yet you don't want to give it to me." Harrison sighed as he continued to plead, not caring about the anger of the man.

"Security, come throw this trash out of my office." The man shouted, ignoring Harrison who was still shouting.

"Sir, you can't do this, I meet the qualifications for this job, so why can't you just give it to me, besides, I need it." Harrison continued to plead, hoping the man was going to agree.

"You're nothing but trash, an unfinished product, so why do you think you qualify for this job?" The man smirked as he stared at Harrison with disgust.

He couldn't hide the disgust in his eyes any longer, hiding it would mean giving the rest in front of his face and he couldn't do that. It wasn't in his nature to do stuff like that.

"But sir, I've never done anything to annoy you, nor do I know you, so why is it like this?" Harrison sighed hoping to get an answer.

"You want to know?" The man sneered as he looked at Harrison.

"You don't deserve to know, besides, you're just trash and very useless."

"But..."

"Shut the fuck up and get out of my office! I'm done entertaining your nonsense." The man interrupted Harrison coldly.

Just then, two blurry men with the clothes of security guards walked into the office.

"Throw him out." The man ordered pointing at Harrison.

Before Harrison could have a chance to argue, he was caught by the men and dragged out of the office. Getting out of the company, the men coldly threw him onto the floor as they stared at him.

The disgust in their eyes was evident, and even they looked down on Harrison who looked rather disheveled at the moment.

Harrison smiled bitterly as he stood up. There was nothing he could do anyway. He had no power to fight back, so he could only watch. He was truly powerless against the men and there was truly nothing he could do about it.

Dusting away the dirt on his clothes, he stood up as he walked away from the company. Since he didn't get the job, there was nothing he could do about it. He could only sigh in defeat as he walked along the pedestrian way on the highway.

At this point, he knew he was useless, he had no use. He couldn't even take good care of his wife, nor could he give her what she wanted. Sometimes, he wondered why she hadn't left him for another man.

His wife was surely beautiful and was one of the most beautiful women in the city. No matter how hard he thought, he just couldn't understand why his wife wouldn't divorce him and go to Another person who had money and power.

There was nothing he could do anyway. He could only stare at the birds in the sky wishing he was one. They were free and no one would consider them to be useless. But what of him?

He felt that even the birds were better than him, at least, they could serve as food when caught, but what could he serve as? He was just as useless as they had described.

He truly didn't have any use and wished he was just going to die and leave the world. He didn't have money nor power which was what made the world go around. Those two were only what was recognized by the masses. If you don't have any of them.

Then you're considered useless. Dating from the fact that he didn't know who his parents were. He had been alone since a young age and had been forced to fend for himself. He had to endure all kinds of humiliation from a young age.

But it seemed he couldn't take it again. He was finally going to snap. Harrison was sure that if it was anyone else, they would have snapped. He had endured for too long.

"Uncle, Uncle, gimme some money." A voice drifted into Harrison's ears as a hand tugged at his trousers.

Harrison smiled as he looked down only to see a little boy with his hand outstretched and staring at him with his big eyes.

"Here you go." Harrison smiled as he removed the ten-dollar bill from his pocket and gave it to the boy.

"Thank you, Uncle." The boy smiled happily before running off.

Harrison sighed and shook his head seeing this. The little boy reminded him of his younger self when he was forced to either work to earn just some steam buns to eat or beg for money.

Sometimes, he'll get unlucky and people could kick him away cursing at his ancestors, and the nicer ones would give him a little bit of money. But most times, he was unlucky and didn't get on the good side of anyone.

Harrison sighed as he slowly came back to his senses. Now that he had given the boy the ten-dollar bill, he was penniless. How was he even going to get home?

His house was quite far from here. Well, he was going to have no other choice but to walk back home no matter what. There was nothing he could do. Since all the companies rejected him and didn't give him a job, he was just going to go back home and come back to try again the next day.

He had never given up on what he had set his sights on, nor was he good to give up. He was confident that what he wanted was just within his reach and he wasn't going to stop until he got it.

Vroom! Vroom!

Just then, rows of luxurious cars suddenly parked in front of Harrison making the latter confused as he wondered what was going on.

Then, men in black suits came out of the car and stood quietly beside one of the cars before opening the door.

Out of the car came an old man with a walking stick. The aura surrounding him showed he was a very powerful person and his clothes were one that even Harrison couldn't recognize.

"Young Master, we've finally found you." The old man sighed as he walked towards Harrison who stood rooted to the floor.
