Chapter 49:

The burly man spoke and immediately swung his fist, aiming at the two men. They shut their eyes tightly, quickly pleading for mercy. Deep down, they felt that if they were hit, they might end up in the hospital for days. Seeing the muscular arm of the man, which was as big as the skinny man’s entire face, the two of them could only brace themselves for what was coming, tears welling up in their eyes.

Just then, a calm voice suddenly sounded. “Hold on a moment.”

The punch from the man was about to land on the faces of the two men when the voice saved them. The burly man halted his fist in mid-air.

Now, all eyes were on the source of that voice.

It was a middle-aged man, with silver-streaked hair and a refined demeanor. He wore a suit jacket, and his aura suggested he held an esteemed position in this place.

“It’s all just a misunderstanding,” the newcomer said. Following him were some security guards. Two of them approached, freed Julie from the grasp of the others, and lifted her up.
