Fight On The Bridge.

Inside a living room with green and cream decors, the three people sat together with the couple on one sofa and the older woman on the opposite sofa.

One could note the look of disappointment in her aged eyes, her lips were pursed as she gave her daughter a sharp look.

"And why have you kept it away from me? You are the reason that young innocent man went to prison, do you know what that means?" Susan asked, feeling an incoming headache as her breathing came out rushed from anger.

"I'm so sorry, I just never loved him-" Cara tried to explain but nothing she said was appeasing to Susan.

"Then why did you agree to marry him? If you had never married him because you didn't love him, none of this would have happened! It wouldn't have come to this! Oh god..."

"Uhm, mom..." Matt spoke but the look he received from Susan made him rephrase his words, "Mrs Broda, this is all my fault and I truly apologize. I already met her before that criminal but I suggested she married him because I didn't want to look like I was trying to come in between them."

"I just felt guilty and sorry for Liam and I asked Cara to just go along with the marriage even though she loved only me," Matt explained, a calm look on his face as he looked at his and Cara's fingers that were intertwined together.

Though Cara was aware that whatever Matt was saying to her Mom was not true and lie, she went along with it and nodded because she trusted only Matt and no one else.

"So what if you get caught?" Susan asked, feeling anxious about the whole situation. Even with the explanation Matt did, she could swear she still didn't understand a single thing and that was even more scary to her.

"Nah, we wouldn't. I'm rich and I have the power to protect us and make sure this doesn't come to light." Said Matt. And even though Susan wasn't exactly sure, she still wouldn't let her daughter close to Liam even though she knew he was innocent.

People still know him as a criminal and a rapist and he was clearly a wretched loser and had nothing, unlike Matt who was well off and could take care of her daughter.

On the quiet bridge and before a chaotic scene, Liam stood there under the bright sun feeling more alive than ever.

With the small smile on his face, one wouldn't have thought he was the same person a few hours ago silently begging for his wife to take him back with watery eyes.

Yes, that was something he wouldn't deny but Liam behaved that way to Cara because she was his wife and he respected her that much. She had every right to be mad at him for failing but she went too far and even cheated on him.

And he was really hurt at her treatment towards him but not now. Now, he was about to be a hero and not some pathetic loser begging his wife but deep down he still wanted her back but that was something he would never get, she clearly loathed him and outrightly rejected him without holding back.

However, the confident smile on Liam's lip broke when the four men broke out with laughter. They laughed so hard and loud that it made Liam angry.

"Guess who is drunk in the daytime! Hahaha!" The second man said and another round of laughter followed his statement.

"A madman giving us orders is wild! Hahaha!" The third man said but their words weren't making him feel down, it was only fueling his anger and provoking some kind of emotions in him.

He grounded his teeth and clenched on the metal rod and before he knew it, he struck the van beside him so hard with the rod that the banging sound was more than enough to turn the place quiet.

The smiles and laughter left the faces of the four men and soon seriousness took over their whole demeanor and before anything Liam and the four men were engaged in a brutal fight.

Sounds of punches and bone cracking and groans and grunts soon filled the air. As Liam struggled to take down one of them as they proved to be stronger than him or tried to outnumber him.

And soon he knocked down one of the men, Liam was sure that he was the weakest of all because taking him down was so easy.

Now left with three more, the fight went on with Liam not holding back. Mercilessly using the metal rod on them with a series of kicks and punches flying about.

For some odd reasons yet to be known, he felt so good. With all his miseries and anger from losing his wife who cheated on him and having to go to prison for six years for a crime, he knew nothing about and the ill-treatment he faced in prison, Liam let them all out on the men.

At a point he flung the rod around, causing the men to keep a distance to avoid being hit as they wondered what type of lunatic he was.

Liam then stopped flinging the rod and went on to attack them.

And while the fight was still going on, the other young man whom the four men tried to push into their van stood beside his car and watched the fight in horror.

Just an hour ago, he was peacefully driving through the city when he noticed the odd way the black van was riding after him and without being told, he knew he was being followed.

Being the nephew of the most ruthless businessman, Nelson couldn't leave his uncle's mansion without guards and security following him because his uncle's enemies were out for him.

But today he wanted to be alone, he was tired of security following him but who knew it would lead to this?

He quickly pulled out his phone from his side pocket and called his uncle's number which went through almost immediately.

Nelson explained everything to his uncle and what was currently going on. After scolding him, his uncle told him he would arrange for people to come pick him up and the call ended.

Nelson placed his phone inside his pocket and raised his head to see how the fight was going only for his eyes to be welcomed with the sight of the unknown man using the metal rod to smack the face of the leader.

Blood mixed with thick saliva flew out of the leader's mouth and Nelson was sure the man must have lost a couple of teeth.

The leader was in a kneeling position when his face was smacked by Liam, he groaned and hissed, pure rage evident in his battered face. He tried standing up to attack Liam but Liam placed the tip of the rod on his chin, keeping him in place.

But Liam wasn't smiling, he bent a little and said, "You should pick up your boys and go back to whoever sent you now that your body is still intact. I didn't knock you out for a reason."
