The Genius Has Coming Home

Einer didn't think he could still open his eyes after that torture night, but here he was. He looked around, guessing where he was and realized about that large and luxurious room he was in.

Einer was shocked, quickly sitting down only to feel pain in his head.

"Ouch ... my head," he said, holding his bandaged head. "I remember, Chris and his friends hit me on the head with wine bottle. Am I badly injured?"

Einer was still very confused, said nothing for a while.

"I must have been seriously injured and I should have even died, but did such a strange thing actually happen? I hit Chris' head with a wine glass and hurt his eye, but how come there was a glass in my hand? I was lying on the floor."

Einer thought about what he had done.

"Was the miracle? Was grim reaper really granted my last wish before I die? But I'm not dead yet!"

"Stop thinking like a silly."

Einer a little bit shocked when someone talked to him; making him turned his head to the sound and saw a woman sat on the couch, on the side of that large room.

"If the grim reaper had a pity to grant every dying human's last wish, he'd better be a fairy," said the woman with long-straight black hair, walking to Einer's bed.

"Who are you?" Einer asked, confused.

"Garden Paradisia Perceus."

Einer had never heard of that name, except for her last name.

"PERCEUS?"

"Yes. Are you surprised?"

"Of course! Perceus... the famous conglomerate family of Sancer, your existence also dominates Sancer University! I've often heard your name coupled with luxury, something that contrasts with those who were far below you."

"That makes sense," Garden said, seemed didn't care.

"So, why one of Perceus save me and bring me to this fancy place? Is this place where you guys lived?"

"Yeah, this is our house; Perceus' mansion, and this is your bedroom."

"Oh, God ...," Einer was a little shocked, covering his gaping mouth but he realized something else. "Wait! This is my bedroom?"

Garden sighed before moving away from Einer's bed.

"Can you walk now? Come out if you want to know why I call this your room, and what makes you able to get something you call 'a miracle from the grim reaper'."

Following the curiosity of what Garden had said, Einer followed the woman. His biggest confusion was simply; why would this poor kid from the Routa could entered the mansion of the famous-wealthy, Perceus family?

The mansion looked more like a palace than a house, making Einer think that Perceus was really on a different level. Every corner of the house was filled with luxury, even just the clean walls could be seen reflecting light. Perceus must have built that mansion with wealth from the future.

It was enough to admire the mansion when Garden stopped, Einer was brought into a very spacious room, several people stood parallel and opposite; glancing at Einer's existence with cold gazes that seemed to suppress the air around Einer.

"Father, I bring him to you."

Einer stood alone in the middle, awkward and a little bit under pressured. Garden went to get into the line, showing that she was one of those people. Einer gulped nervously, but the atmosphere became different as the large chair swiveled, revealing a charismatic man sitting on it.

The man smiled.

"Finally you come to me, my son."

He raised his brow, didn't have a clue about what that man was said. The man walked down his throne, approached Einer to hug him.

"I've been waiting so long for this moment, finally we meet again. Do you know how much I missed you?"

"Wait, I don't know what you're talking about. I am your son? But, who are you?"

The man froze a second before laughed. "Oh my ... I forgot to tell you about who am I. Sorry, I was jubilant to see you again." That man was stepping back, leaving a space for Einer from him. "Greetings, Einer. I am Oliver Perceus, the head of the Perceus Family."

"You're the head of the Perceus family...?"

"Yes."

"And you say that I am your son?"

"Of course, you're my son. I've been looking for you for 15 years."

Einer was still puzzled, didn't expect it that he had other family than his mom and his twin. Einer never knew about his father all this time. Einer's mother never talked about a man named Oliver, let alone to knew that his father was the head of a famous family.

"What makes you believe that I am the son you've looking for?" asked Einer, "I mean, I am an orphan from Routa. How could I be your lost son?"

"It's easy, Einer. You have your mother's power, and I know your mother."

"Power? What power do you mean?"

"The power that can make the thing you want, come to your hand without you need to run towards it - like you did that night to a guy named Chris."

Einer was silent and recalled that night, the miracle that happened... it seemed like Oliver knew something about it.

"Do you still think it was a miracle that was granted to you?" asked Oliver, drawing Einer's attention to his sharp and deep eyes. "You think a thing so simple, Einer; that's why I'm here to tell you that no miracle came to you that night. You are that miracle."

"What do you mean?"

"You created a miracle with your power, that incredible awakening power is yours. You will stop being fooled from now on, because I will tell you everything about who you really are, about the awakening power that your mother tried to hide from you."

"Awakening power?"

Oliver touched Einer's shoulder. "Yes, the incredible power that saved you that night."

"What do you mean? I have the awakening power? That doesn't make sense, how can I trust you?"

Oliver smiled, then took a few steps back. "I will make you realize your power," he said without hesitation. "Garden."

Garden walked to Einer's front. Einer had no idea what the woman was going to do, so he was shocked beyond belief in the next second when suddenly his body was lifted high and felt a strong pressure like something was squeezing his body to crush. And miraculously, Garden did that with just her sharp gaze.

"Argh... what are you doing, Lady Garden?"

"Save yourself, Einer!" said Oliver.

"Are you crazy? This woman wants to kill me!"

"Do it with your power. Throw something at Garden, and she'll let you go."

"What?"

"Do what Garden does; use your mind to control objects around you, and make them do what you want."

"That's crazy."

Einer was in a panic, knowing he could die if he didn't break free immediately but he didn't know how to use his power. More simply than that, he didn't believe he had that kind of power.

But if it was something that could save him from Garden, he would do whatever nonsense Oliver wanted.

"Anything... please, do anything ...."

Einer searched for something in the surroundings, one thing among the many things in the spacious room and his decision fell on the books on the large bookshelves on the right and left walls.

Einer reached out his hand, as if to grab a book. "Come to me," he said in a stammering voice; the pressure Garden was creating made the air Einer breathed feel like it was poisoning his lungs. "Come on, move ...."

Not moving, Einer thought he was really going to die this time. He was furious; was he brought to this place and hearing all that nonsense just to be fooled? Did they just want to play a trick on Einer?

If only Einer did have that power, the person he wanted to throw the book at was Oliver, not Garden.

"AAARGHH, I SAID MOVE!"

Einer tried to breaking free with all his might, hoping that it would break Garden's power, but what was destroyed was the arrangement of the books in the closet. The neatly arranged books that numbered in the hundreds, fell as if a huge wind had swept over them, and one of them flew so fast that it hit Garden's head, knocking her down - and let Einer free.

"Cough cough!" Einer clutched his neck, gasping for air greedly before he saw Garden before him-standing up slowly and staring at Einer coldly as blood immediately flowed from her head.

It was real, the thrown book had actually hit Garden's head and it was not someone else's doing but Einer's.

"Wow ...." Einer looked disbelief about what he had done to the room, it was all a mess. Oliver clapped like he won a bet.

"You did well, Einer." Oliver approached Einer with a proud smile, hugging Einer. "You really are my son."

Einer felt guilty for Garden, but the woman left the room as if she didn't care.

"Now do you believe that you really have the awakening power?" asked Oliver, and Einer was silent not because he didn't believe it. Einer just couldn't believe that this kind of thing existed in the life of a loser like him, but Oliver tapped his shoulder to face the ten people there.

"Be proud, Einer; you are the strongest among these people," Oliver said, smiling proudly beside Einer. "Welcome to your home, the place where you belong to be, Einer Perceus."
