What It's Like to Be The Perceus

Oliver Perceus promised that he would explain anything Einer wanted to know; about Einer's awakening power, or how could Einer be his lost child and his relationship with Einer's mother.

But it all was only if Einer had already recovered. While Einer needed to recover his body after that night, he was served like a young master in Perceus mansion.

Einer might need to be used to all treatments, as he always woke up with the soft voice of the butler, and saw some maids come in to help Einer with all he needed on his morning.

"What breakfast do you want for this morning, Sir Einer?" asked Robert, the butler. Einer was just done taking a bath and preparing to go to the campus.

"Breakfast? Can't I have breakfast from yesterday's menu?"

"Of course you can, Sir Einer. You can even have caviar for breakfast every day if you want. I only asked because I thought you would be bored and want a new menu for breakfast."

Einer felt a little awkward. A luxury food like caviar was something he couldn't even imagine before, but Robert said like the people in this house were fed up of that thing.

"Um... I want to ask for anything else."

"Please say it, Sir."

"Where's Sir Oliver? I wonder when he will see me and talk about a lot of things. He said we would meet again after I recovered."

"I'm sorry, Sir Einer, but I have to say that Sir Oliver has been so busy since the day you came. He's usually busy but after you come, he becomes more because he prepares a lot of things for you so you don't need to worry about everything especially to live as a Perceus."

"Oh really...?"

"Of course, you are the son he has been looking for for a long time. And you should get used to calling him father or papa. You don't need to feel awkward, you've proven that you really are the child he's been looking for all this time."

Robert helped Einer to prepare his books, while Einer waited for his breakfast on the luxurious single sofa in his room.

"Robert, are those people my siblings?" asked Einer, "including Lady Garden ...."

"Yes, Sir Einer. They are all precious children of Perceus and they are just like you."

"Do they also have the awakening power like me and Garden?"

"Yes, they do."

Einer was dumbfounded; his hunch was proven correct if those children were the same people as Garden. They had the same intimidating aura, was that the effect of their power?

"Perceus had 11 precious children with extraordinary awakening power, and after you came, Perceus became complete. The 12 precious children of Perceus who are the pride of sir Oliver, now have gathered, you can create a very bright future for this family."

"Among the 12 children, who is usually the strongest?" asked Einer, he ignored his breakfast to ask Robert many questions.

"The first child, sir Phillip."

"I don't know which one Phillip is."

"A person with a calm and cold aura, his snow-white hair symbolizes the power of ice which he controls so well."

"Oh... I remember. So he is the first child of Perceus and the strongest."

"Even so, you have great potential to become the strongest beyond sir Phillip, Sir Einer."

Einer didn't understand. "Why? Is the power of telekinesis really that strong?"

Robert faced Einer with his thin smile that was calm and seemed to meaning something. He said, "Yes, telekinesis and mind control powers have always been powers with great potential. But telekinesis is not your power, Sir Einer."

"What?" Einer was in shocked. "Then what did I do that time ....?"

"You'll find out as soon as you're guided directly by sir Oliver," Robert replied, cutting off the conversation while leaving Einer with a new question.

Einer ate his breakfast quietly, though his forehead was furrowed and he kept thinking about the answer to his curiosity. Robert placed something on his table, a key that Einer knew what it was.

"What is this, Robert?" but he asked like he had no clue.

"My master asked me to hand it over to you if you want to come to the campus today, Sir Einer. Although he didn't focus too much on choosing the best one, but he hopes you like your new car." Robert looked out the window, and Einer could see a luxury car with a navy color—parked in the spacious courtyard of the mansion.

Einer was used to living in poverty before this, but he was quite knowledgeable about the automotive world and what Robert called his new car was the latest in the market.

"Oh my God," Einer was amazed that he accidentally dropped his drinking glass. The maid swiftly cleaned it up so as not to get it on Einer's clothes, while he approached the window and took a closer look at the car. "Is that really mine?"

"Yes. Sir Oliver kept saying that he hoped you would like the car he chose. He chose it randomly and didn't ask you first, but he had high hopes that you would-"

"Do all conglomerates choose cars without thinking?"

"What did you say? I'm sorry."

"Robert, this is amazing! That car is the latest in the market and it will only be released next month! Am I the first person on earth to own that car?"

"Really? You seem to like it so, yes... it could be true."

"Robert, I really like it!"

Einer was so happy that he grasped Robert's hand as if they were friends. The euphoria was so unstoppable that Einer rushed out of his room on the third floor, just to touch the car up close.

"This is crazy! So crazy! This car is real and it's mine!"

Seeing the expensive car in front of him made Einer momentarily remember his dark and humiliating life. Such a thing was not something Einer could even imagine, but now he had it. This was one proof that he was a Perceus, and of course, Einer would not miss the opportunity to enjoy his current position.

Einer started the engine, turning the steering wheel. He drove through the crowded streets of Sancer city, enjoying the moment the luxurious breeze brushed his skin when he opened the car's roof.

"Is this what it feels like to be a tycoon?" Euphoria soaring to the highest threshold, Einer felt like he was above the cloud nine until his destination ended in front of his campus building.

Sancer University, that place didn't leave a good impression considering it was where Einer received the most insults and bullying, not to mention the betrayal of the woman he loved the most. But with his new status, Einer also wondered what would happen, so he got out of the car and made everyone stare at him dumbfounded.

"Oh my, is that for real? Einer the loser?"

"How did he get out of that expensive car? Where did he steal it from?"

"Something like that couldn't have been stolen so easily, and also... that car hasn't even been officially marketed yet! How did he get it?"

This time there was no Einer walking in with his head down, he was standing up straight with his face straight ahead. Einer should walk in with his head held high and be proud of himself, he was a Perceus! The people on this campus were even under his feet now.

If only they realized.

"Oh, the bad loser is back."

Einer stopped in the main corridor when he heard a voice he recognized very well.

In front of him, Chris stood with his friends and of course with Amora beside him. But what stole the show was that Chris' left eye was covered with a thick bandage and that was probably also the reason why he was staring at Einer with anger right now.

"Do you know how much I'm waiting for the moment when I can see you again, Einer?"

Einer remained silent as he saw Chris approaching him with quick steps; he was wary and of course it would not be a good thing if Chris ended up standing right in front of him.

"I think I missed you a bit. Come here, let me hug you."
