5: Enrollment at the academy (1)

Allen woke up to the sound of his alarm ringing loudly. He sat up, rubbed his eyes and stretched his arms, feeling excited about the day ahead. He knew that today was the day he would enroll in the best superpower academy in the world.

"Today's the day" he said to himself.

He quickly got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. He took a quick shower and brushed his teeth, then using his powers he made cloths materialise out of thin air, got dressed in a pair of black jeans, a white t-shirt and a black hoodie. He looked at himself in the mirror and nodded in approval.

As he left the hotel room, he couldn't help but feel a little nervous. He knew that he had to be careful, as he didn't want anyone to recognize him and blow his cover. He decided he'll take a taxi to the academy to avoid any unnecessary attention.

He hailed a taxi outside the hotel and gave the driver the address of the academy. As the car drove through the city, Allen couldn't help but admire the view. He had not been in the city long so hasn't seen all parts of it yet, so everything looked so fascinating.

When they arrived at the academy, Allen took a deep breath as he paid the driver and stepped out of the taxi, and gazed at the impressive building before him. The academy was bustling with activity, with students rushing to and fro, some chatting excitedly while others nervously went over their notes, The crowd outside the academy was massive, and he had to push his way through to get to the entrance.

he made his way over to entrance and asked, "What's going on?"

One of the students, a tall, muscular boy with spiky blonde hair, turned to him and replied, "It's the practical enrolment exams today. We're all pretty nervous."

Another girl, with short brown hair and a determined look on her face, chimed in, "Speak for yourself, Kyle. I'm ready to show what I can do."

Allen smiled, impressed by their confidence. "I'm sure you'll all do great," he said, before making his way inside.

As he entered the academy, Allen was greeted by a large, airy lobby, with marble floors and high ceilings. The walls were lined with portraits of past graduates, many of whom had gone on to become famous High ranked hunters.

As Allen walked around the academy lobby, he overheard students talking about the prestigious students from the five superpower families. He listened in on their conversations, intrigued by what he was hearing.

"Did you hear about the Lumin family's son? He can transform into a large 30 feet tall nine tailed fox," said one student.

"wow!! isn't that a legendary grade monster!?, so op!!" said a female student.

"Yeah, but he's not as impressive as the Leonheart family's granddaughter. She can make and control object with aura!" replied another student.

"Speaking of families, have you seen the Langs' daughter? She's got the power of telekinesis and telepathy," added a third student.

"yeah I heard that they all enrolled today, it seems small fry like us aren't gonna pass this year huh" said a female student with disappoint in her tone.

Allen couldn't help but be impressed by the students from these families. He knew that they must be incredibly powerful, considering their family reputations. He made a mental note to keep an eye out for them during the practical exams.

As he walked by a group of students, he overheard them talking about the Wei family. "The Wei family's son is a real show-off. He's always using his super strength to impress everyone," said one student.

Another student chimed in, "Yeah, but his sister is the real deal. She's got the power of telekinesis, just like the Langs' daughter, but she's already a senior."

"I heard that the Yamamoto family is trying to get her into the Hero program," replied the other student.

Allen couldn't help but feel a little impressed by the students from the superpower families. He wondered if they would ever be able to measure up to his skills.

He made his way to the registration desk, where a stern-looking woman was sitting behind a computer.

"Name?" she asked, without looking up.

"Nathan," Allen replied, using the fake name he had chosen.

The woman typed something into her computer and then handed him a stack of papers. "Fill these out and then head to the exam hall," she said brusquely.

Allen found an empty table and quickly filled out the forms, his heart racing with excitement. He couldn't wait to show off his powers and prove that he belonged at the academy.

As he made his way to the exam hall, Allen noticed that there were several groups of students gathered together, some nervously discussing tactics while others were joking and laughing.

"Hey, new guy!" a voice called out to him. It was Kyle, the blonde-haired boy he had spoken to earlier. "You ready to get your butt kicked?"

Allen grinned. "We'll see about that," he replied.

"oh I didn't catch your name earlier, what is it" asked kyle.

"oh it Nathan" replied Allen with a smile on his face.

The exam hall was a large, open space with high ceilings and rows of seats on either side. In the center of the hall was a large arena, where the practical exams would be held, all the participants assembled in the arena.

(the arena was 800 feet in length and width with large vegetation very good for a large examination like this one)

The examiner was tall, handsome, with red hair and yellow eyes which had seen countless battles, he had a no-nonsense demeanor, he was standing in the middle of the arena, flanked by several assistants.

"Attention all participants!" he yelled. "Welcome to the practical exams. Today, you will be demonstrating your abilities as well as engaging in battle with your fellow candidates. There are no rules, except that you must not kill or seriously injure your opponent, this is basically a FFA battle (free for all) I obviously don't need to tell you that the last students standing would get the highest scores, only the top 100 will be admitted, we have our teachers as well as our medical team in case a battle is getting out of hand, a candidate surrenders or they are seriously injured so you don't have to worry, Is that clear?"

The students all responded "yes sir." some looking nervous while others looked eager for the challenge.

"Very well. Let the exams begin!" the examiner declared, before blowing a whistle to signal the start of the first round.

As the battles raged on around him, Allen could feel his heart pounding in his chest. He was nervous, but also excited to show what he could do.

He watched as Kyle and the brown-haired girl, whose name he had learned was Sarah, faced off against each other in a fierce battle. They traded blows and blasts of energy, each one trying to gain the upper hand.

As the battle continued, Allen noticed a flaw in Sarah's defense. Without hesitation, he ran towards the arena and yelled, "Sarah, look out!"

Startled, Sarah turned her head, giving Kyle the opening he needed to land a devastating blow.

Kyle smirked, thinking he had won, but then Allen unleashed his own power, catching his punch,

kyle was surprised Allen was able to withstand his blow, he smiled then began to release an endless barrage of attacks on Allen.

As the battle between Kyle and Allen raged on, Sarah found herself in the crossfire. She was crouched down behind a tree, trying to stay out of harm's way, when she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her side. She looked down to see that she had been grazed by a stray bolt of energy from Kyle's attack.

"Ow!" she yelped, wincing in pain.

Allen, who had been focused on battling Kyle, immediately noticed Sarah's distress. He saw her clutching her side and knew he had to act fast to protect her.

Without hesitation, he leaped towards Sarah, putting himself between her and Kyle. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice full of concern.

Sarah nodded, still wincing in pain. "Yeah, I think so," she said, trying to catch her breath.

Kyle looked exited, he looked at Allen and said. "Get out of the way Nathan," he spat. "I'm not finished with her yet."

Allen stood his ground, his fists clenched at his sides. "I'm not going to let you hurt her," he said, his voice steely with determination.

Kyle let out a harsh laugh. "You think you can stop me? You're nothing compared to me," he taunted.

But Allen wasn't intimidated. He knew he had to protect Sarah at all costs, no matter what. He squared his shoulders and prepared to face Kyle head-on.

"This is starting to become a drag, it seems I'll have to end this quickly" said Allen he closed his eyes shortly and whispered to himself Divine will seal release 0.000001% he then opened his eyes, he began to glow he immediately closed the distance between himself and kyle,

"wait what is this immense pressure, it feels as if am facing my father, no this feels stronger, am... I.. going to die here" kyle though to himself as Allen grabbed his head with one of his hands and rammed it into the ground, kyle then layed there unconscious and slightly injured, In the end, it was Allen who emerged victorious.

Allen then called for the medical team to pick him and Sarah up

Sarah let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. She felt a sense of relief wash over her as she realized that Allen had saved her from harm.

"Thank you," she said, turning to him with a grateful smile.

Allen smiled back, his eyes filled with warmth. "Of course," he said. "I'll always protect you."

and then they where carried away.

"now that that's been dealt with, why don't I go hunt bigger pray" said Allen with an exited look on his face,

he had noticed a large fox monster that was battling what seemed to be a female yellow giant made of aura,

"I hope you guys will last longer than one hit" said Allen as he ran in that direction.
