6: Enrollment at the academy (2)

Allen was on a roll after defeating Kyle. He couldn't wait to take on more challengers and test his abilities. As he made his way towards the direction of the commotion, he encountered several participants along the way who were eager to take him on.

He saw a boy with fire-based powers, a girl with water-based powers, and another boy with electric-based powers.

As Allen approached, the boy with fire-based powers, named Jack, he noticed him and shouted, "Hey, who are you?"

Allen replied, "Just passing through. Mind if I join in?"

The girl with water-based powers, named Emma, eyed him warily. "What makes you think you can handle us?" she asked.

"I have a few tricks up my sleeve," Allen replied with a grin.

The boy with electric-based powers, named Alex, scoffed. "We'll see about that," he said, crackling with electricity.

The battle began, and Allen kept his physical enhancement and telekinesis abilities low-key, not wanting to reveal his full potential. Still, he easily dodged Emma's water attacks and countered with a burst of telekinetic energy that knocked her off her feet.

Jack's flames proved to be more challenging, but Allen used his physical enhancement to move quickly and avoid getting burned. With a sudden burst of telekinetic force, he sent Jack flying backwards.

Alex was the toughest opponent yet, his electric bolts coming at Allen from all directions. But with his quick reflexes and telekinetic shields, Allen managed to deflect the attacks and land a few blows of his own.

Finally, all three opponents lay defeated on the ground. As Allen ran towards the direction of the commotion, he waved at them,

"Good fight," he said with a smile. "I hope I'll get to see you guys again after the exams are over."

As he continued on his way, he couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement at the thought of all the powerful opponents he could face off against during the exam.

Allen continued onward, he encountered a lot of other participants, which he defeated with ease, the examiner began to take notice of Allen's performance.

"Who so he?." he asked in a serious tone while looking at one of his assistants.

"His name is Nathan, according to the data he registered, he is 17 years old and posses 2 Normal type abilities, physical enhancement Rk 5 and telekinesis Rk 4." she replied.

"Telekinesis Rk 4?, and posses more than one superpower, that's enough for him to be a ranker," the examiner said with a smile on his face.

Superpower ranks (Rk) are given in decreasing order, from 10 bing the weakest to 1 bing the strongest. superpowers are measured in total combat power (★] like: range, destructive force, speed etc..

the strength of different ranks are as shows:

Rank 10 0 - 39. (★).

Rank 9 40 - 69 (★).

Rank 8 70 - 99 (★).

Rank 7 100 - 149 (★).

Rank 6 150 - 199 (★).

Rank 5 200 - 299 (★).

Rank 4 300 - 499 (★).

Rank 3 500 - 699 (★).

Rank 2 700 - 999 (★).

Rank 1 1000+. (★).

Rank classes (F - S).

(Class F Rank 10)

(Class E Rank 9 and 8)

(Class D Rank 7 and 6)

(Class C Rank 5 and 4)

(Class B Rank 3)

(Class A Rank 2)

(Class S Rank 1)

For Allen bing a rank 4 Telekinesis user means he can lift objects that at up to 4.99 MT (metric tonnes) within the range of 490 meters, so he is a force to be reckoned with ( Note range is usually smaller than force but there may be some cases where it is the opposite).

Rankers are the most powerful I individuals in the world that have been recognised by the TWASMPA ( THE WORLD'S ASSOCIATION OF SUPERPOWER MANAGEMENT AND PORTAL ASSESSMENT) and have Been given ranks according to their achievements and superpower prowess.

Allen noticed the examiner's gaze directed at him, but chose to ignore it, he had arrived at the location of the commotion and saw a giant female made of aura and a nine-tailed fox fighting. As he got closer, he realized that they were August lumin and Myna Leonheart, two students from prestigious superpower families.

"Hey guys, Am I invited to the party?" Allen called out as he approached them.

August and Myna stopped their fight and looked at him suspiciously. "Who the hell are you?" August asked.

"I'm Nathan," Allen replied, using his fake name. "I'm participating in the exams."

"Don't get in my way, my fight is with him." Myna replied with an angered tone and a serious look on her face "If you do I will have to defeated you, and then you will be disqualified, is this what you want." she added.

Allen smirked. "I wouldn't want it any other way."

The battle began, and Allen used his physical enhancement and telekinesis to dodge their attacks and counter with his own. He could sense that August and Myna were holding back, and he knew that he had to do something to make them take him seriously.

"Is that all you've got?" Allen taunted. "I thought participants from the superpower families were supposed to be strong."

August's face turned red with anger. "What did you say?" he growled.

August and Myna bristled at his words, and they attacked him with renewed vigor. Allen continued to dodge and weave, but this time he used his telekinesis to taunt them further. He lifted rocks and debris from the ground and threw them at his opponents, narrowly missing them each time.

As the battle continued between Allen, August, and Myna, Allen noticed that the examiner was closely observing the fight. He could sense his attention was focused on him, and he knew that he had to be careful not to expose his full strength.

In his mind, Allen quickly strategized a way to make it seem like he was defeated by August and Myna without revealing his true abilities. He decided to continue to use taunting and humiliating tactic to make them use a large amount of their power to push him into a seemly exhausted state, using his enhanced senses, confirmed that there where only 89 participants left in the exam, this would be the perfect moment to begin his plan, so even if he was defeated here, he would still be eligible to enroll at the academy.

"what a shame, it seems I can't have fun anymore." he whispered to himself, "guys I think its time to warp things up, come on, give me your best shot." he said.

Myna, who had been focusing on her aura control, suddenly solidified her aura into a giant fist and aimed it at Allen. But Allen was ready for her attack. He used his telekinesis to push the fist back towards Myna, causing her to stumble backward.

"You're not bad, Myna Leonheart," Allen said, keeping his tone taunting. "But it seems like you're not as strong as your reputation suggests."

August and Myna exchanged glances, their frustration growing at Allen's arrogant comments. They knew they were up against a formidable opponent, but they couldn't let their guard down, they began to release a barrage of heavy attacks at Allen.

Allen began to allow their attacks to hit him, most of which he could have easily dogged or counted , he pretended that he was bing pushed back and finally after a grueling battle, Allen fell to the ground, panting heavily. August and Myna looked at each other in surprise. "You're pretty good," August admitted, impressed.

The examiner watched as Allen was defeated by August and Myna, but something seemed off to him. He could tell that Allen was holding back, and it bothered him. He turned to his assistant and instructed, "End the exam. We have enough participants for this year's class."

The assistant nodded and made the announcement to the remaining participants. They all looked at each other in surprise, some disappointed that they didn't get to showcase their abilities more

August and Myna approached the examiner, curious about why the exam was ending early. "Excuse me, sir," August said. "May I ask why the exam is ending? We were just getting started.

The examiner looked at August and Myna, and then back at Allen, who was now standing to the side, he had a emotionless look on his face, gazing back at the examiner. "I have my reasons," he replied cryptically. "But I assure you that this year's class will be exceptional."

August and Myna exchanged a look, wondering what the examiner meant by his comment. They both knew that they had performed well, but they also knew that Allen was much stronger than he let on.

As the participants made their way out of the arena, some congratulating each other on their performance and others silently brooding, Allen walked out, thinking about how fun the exam was. He knew that he could have easily defeated August and Myna if he had wanted to, but he didn't want to draw attention to himself.

The examiner noticed Allen as he was leaving and approached him. "You have a lot of potential, young man," he said. "But you need to learn to control your power and not hold back. We need strong heroes in this world."

Allen nodded, understanding the examiner's words. "Yes, sir," he replied. "I'll work on that."

The examiner gave him a nod of approval before turning to leave. Allen watched as he walked away, wondering what the future held for him now that he had entered the academy.

As he made his way back to the hotel, he couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment. He knew that he had more to offer, but he didn't want to draw too much attention to himself.

Finally arriving in his room, Allen sat down on the bed and thought about his next move. He needed to find a source of income, and he remembered from one of the military soldier's memories that there was a special bar in the city alley that gave out mercenary missions.

"I guess it's time to pay that bar a visit," he said to himself, determined to find a way to make a living while keeping his true abilities hidden.
