CHAPTER FORTY THREE

Reynold sat down with his arms crossed, he had been in this position for a while now. And Jovian had been offered no choice but to observe in silence.

Especially, since the coldness between the two of them had not been addressed since he caused trouble in the gym.

Jovian stood behind him, as ever silent as a stereotypic bodyguard can be… but he was no nothing stereotypic.

“Uhm… uh… are we not going to the gym today?”

Reynold's lost eyes creased to a frown. He stood and turned to the young lad.

“The gym? Are you asking me that.”

Jovian lowered his head immediately.

“I'm sorry. I was thoughtless and it was wrong of me.”

“Hmm… forget about that. Something else bothers me.” Reynold intoned, looking around the house like he was searching for something.

“What… is bothering you?” Jovian inquired carefully, stealing glances at his boss’ blank face.

Reynold lingered a few moments, his brows then furrowed and he shot a resolved gaze to Jovian.

“Jovian.”

“Yes sir.”
