CHAPTER THIRTY NINE

Sean seethed, barely containing his own fury. “Father’s lost his mind, giving Kayla keys to a deal this huge.”

Reaching Tate’s office, they barrelled through the door in sync. Tate ripped loose his tie while Sean paced, raking hands through his immaculate hair until it stuck up in dark tufts.

“It’s unbelievable! We’re his sons - his rightful heirs!” Sean exploded. “Now little sister gets to play executive just because she batted her eyes at Daddy?”

He spat the word ‘Daddy’ like a curse, lip curled in disgust.

Tate swung around from the whiskey decanter he was emptying into two tumblers. “Here,” he shoved one glass toward his brother, “you look like you need this.”

They drank in brooding silence before Tate smashed his empty tumbler down. “We can’t let her get away with this. If Kayla nails that deal, Father's favor will shift towards her. He will begin to notice her more and more and we… we’ll be cast aside like yesterday’s tr
