Chapter 49

As they emerged from the underground dungeon, Elvis and Charlotte were met with a formidable surprise.

The air was thick with the presence of guards, all converging upon them with malicious intent.

A figure stepped out from the shadows, his rotund frame revealed in full view.

The man began clapping, slow and deliberate, his laughter ringing out like the toll of a death knell.

"So, you're the one who brought down the black market, and now you dare to step foot on my land," Williams spoke, his voice dripping with disdain. "A foolish mistake, my dear. We know all of your plans."

Elvis remained calm, his face a mask of composure.

Charlotte, meanwhile, was itching for a fight, eager to take down the guards that surrounded them. But Elvis held her back, his hand firmly grasping her shoulder.

"Why do you presume that I was the one who destroyed the black market?" Elvis asked, his voice steady and unwavering.

"Why, because we have intel that you enslaved my son with one of your abilities.
