86 Daydreams

Hazel sat cross-legged on her bedroom floor, boxes half-filled all around her. Sunlight streamed through the curtains, casting a warm glow on posters of her favorite bands and dreamy landscapes. Her fingers traced absent patterns on the box she should be packing, but her mind wandered elsewhere to someone else.

Leonardo Dubois.

His name echoed like a song in her head. She'd first seen on that cool evening when he flagged down her car and she felt the connection they shared as members of the Divine Clan. Leo had a mysterious air that drew Hazel in. They'd exchanged a few words the night before when he came in to tell her that she had to be packed by mid morning the next day, she nodded sheepishly as she kept on wishing he would find another reason to keep talking to her.
