On the cherry blossom continent, stood a small village that thrived on their agriculture and animal rearing, the village was called Millet, and it had a population of 5,000 people.
The village was rather lively today as it was holding a festival to thank the immortals who blessed their crops, so they would grow nice and big.
Red banners and lanterns were already being hung around the village, even though it was only noon.
Discussions were abounding as people speculated if an immortal would arrive this time to grace them with his or her presence.
Most of the people in the village were all thinking about the great immortal, and how they wanted to meet him, maybe they were talented, and they would be taken back to the immortal's cave, so they could be taught cultivation.
For simple farmers and the like, this was the most they would be able to dream.
Only one person in the whole village didn't care whether the immortal arrived or not.
A young man with a short stocky build patted his belly, his hair was greasy and slicked back in a short ponytail, he wore a white robe full of grease stains as he was just finishing cleaning his greasy hands on it.
At his feet, there was a small hill of bones that looked to be from chickens.
The young man burped loudly letting out such a sound that it alerted half of the neighborhood sighs and curses could be heard around as a sandal was thrown at the young man nailing him directly in the stomach but somehow his bloated and full stomach resisted the sandal strike as the sandal bounced back as if it hit rubber and not flesh.
A shout came from inside the small rustic house that was a few meters away from the young man:
"DAMN YOU BAI FENG, DON'T TELL ME YOU ATE ALL THE CELEBRATORY CHICKEN ALREADY!"
Bai Feng only burped again as confirmation.
A short stocky woman left the house while glaring at Bai Feng, she wasn't beautiful and looked average, she took the sandal from the ground where it bounced from Bai Feng's belly and started to hit him on the head with it, the sandal was made of wood but Bai Feng took the beating rather easily as if he was used to it.
"Damn it you glutton, after our parents passed away all you did was eat and eat until you almost ate us out of the house, you are lucky that I can make some money to support the both of us, it's not enough you eat like a pig but you are lazy like one as well!"
Bai Feng scratched his cheek as he bowed to the woman and said:
"Sorry big sister Mu An but when our parents passed away they said that I should grow big and strong so they told me that I should eat a lot!"
His sister sighed as he looked at him up and down and said:
"You have grown alright, grown a lot, but not vertically!"
Bai Feng was a wide person but not to the point he could be considered obese, however, he was very chubby, chubby to the point that you would think he was a pig in human's skin, his stomach average size was the only reason he wasn't considered morbidly obese.
Being short and pudgy this was Bai Feng!
His sister sighed as he stopped looking him up and down and said:
"How will you ever find a wife like this? All the other boys in the village who grew up with you are already stalwart young men who are ready to marry! But look at you, no job living on your sister's money and eating so much that you might not even be able to move one day."
"I understand you are still mourning our parents passing away but you don't have to turn to food for that."
Bai Feng didn't listen to her as he looked down at the small hill of chicken bones and licked his lips, suddenly he found himself being assaulted by the sandal again as his sister shouted in his ear:
"DAMN YOU BAI FENG, YOU ATE ALL OF THE CHICKEN AND YOU STILL WANT MORE?"
Bai Feng's family was in a bad situation financially but their parents left behind a chicken farm which the duo abused in their youth leading to their current builds, while Mu An started to cut on the chicken and she started to trade for vegetables for a balanced diet, Bai Feng ate with gusto whenever he was able to.
Boiled chicken soup, fried chicken, chicken kebap, and a whole load of eggs.
He ate a lot and you would think that he would do something productive after eating right?
However her sister looked at him slowly leaving her behind as she got tired of beating him with her sandal, there was a tall apple tree in their courtyard, Bai Feng slowly sat down below it enjoying the shade before dozing off.
Mu An shook her head as she looked at him sleeping, there was nothing he could do to him, at first before he started eating like a pig her sandal beatings would affect him but as time passed she realized that his skin was getting tougher and tougher, it was unknown if the chicken he ate toughened his skin or her beatings did.
She almost got angry when she saw how he slept as if nothing was wrong in the world, they were penniless and they could only support themselves from the chicken farm and her work, but her work was only occasional so all of the money she made was paid for taxes and the usual.
They were lucky the chicken they had didn't need to eat grains or they would have died of starvation long ago!
She sighed a second time seeing Bai Feng mutter in his sleep, she wanted to take a closer look at him only to hear a loud 'boom' before a disastrous stench assaulted her nose, she forgot that Bai Feng would let out all that he ate when he went to sleep!
She clutched her nose shut before running away, she needed to fry some more chicken for the festival as she wanted to give her respects to the immortal who blessed their chickens.
Bai Feng slept while muttering under his breath, saliva dripped out his mouth as he said:
"Mmm...more chicken."
Even at these times when his belly was full, the sky was blue and things went well for him he still wanted to eat! It was almost unbelievable!
Time slowly passed as the sun started to set and noon passed until it was evening, Bai Feng woke up with a rumbling stomach as he looked around, he was alone as there was no light in the house but he could see light coming from the alleyways outside the courtyard.
He remembered that there was a festival today and the festival meant delicious food!
Bai Feng loved chicken but eating the same thing since he was off his mother's milk started to become a little bland to him no matter how his sister cooked it or what spices she used, however, the festival was an occasion where he could eat whatever he wanted for free and get away with it as well!
He started to make his way out of the courtyard his belly jiggling up and down as if he was Santa Claus
He left his courtyard and looked around only to realize that none of his neighbors was home, in this situation he would have gone ahead and helped himself to whatever he would find in their houses but considering he could get food for free without trouble to boot he decided against it.
He started to trot towards the middle of the village where everyone was currently doing their best, putting the best foods on a long table where everyone was supposed to settle themselves after they said their blessings.
Mu An stood amongst the crowd with a few plates full of pipping hot glistening chicken drums.
A lot of people were looking at the chicken with envy as their mouths watered at the thought of taking a bite of it, while the brother-sister duo had gotten tired of it the others couldn't get enough of it, most of the chicken ended up in the duo's hands while very few left the house for trading and this only started this year because of the sister's new eating habits!
Some women even got closer to her as they said:
"Oh my god Mu An, your chicken is so delicious, even though I cook the chicken as well it's never as good as yours, can you give me your recipe?"
Mu An chuckled good-naturedly as she said:
"We all cook chicken the same way, but the chicken is the only thing that's different."
"Oh come on Mu An, it's impossible, we all have chickens from the same source, you think that you can lie to us? It's ok if you don't want to share the recipe."
The women looked rather cold as they looked at Mu An, they never thought that the chicken was special but they were only deluding themselves as they were also from chicken rearing families, they would never lower themselves to think that their chicken was worse than the one cooked by Mu An.
Bai Feng slowly arrived at the plaza in the middle of the village as he scratched his backside, his greasy figure cut a strong contrast compared to all of the clean people who wore new clothes for the celebration.
Everyone glared at Bai Feng before looking at Mu An with a look that said 'Why didn't you keep him at home?'
Mu An felt embarrassed as she saw so many people looking at her at the same time and her plates almost fell from her grasp.
Bai Feng slowly made his way towards the table and sat down as he started to salivate while he looked at all of the food on the table and there was still more coming!
He only heard about this festival once from his parents as it was held once every 50 years, his parents didn't even get to experience it and they only heard about it from Bai Feng's grandparents!
The moment he sat at the table while everyone was still fussing around was the moment the proverbial bomb exploded.
One of the stalwart men who was observing from the side making sure everything went ok with the festival celebration suddenly went directly to Bai Feng and glared at him, he even cracked his knuckles showing that he was ready to take things in a different, more violent direction, however, Bai Feng ignored him as his eyes were glued only to the food that was in front of him never taking in account whatever else was around him, his left hand was slowly inching towards the potato salad that caught his eye, only to realize that he found an unknown hand on his wrist, stopping him from reaching the fated potato salad!!
Hello there, possible future readers. I want to welcome you to my novel with a few words. First things first, there will be romance in this novel but only a little bit farther in, as I will need to cement the MC's personality and goals in the first half of the novel, but the love interest will be introduced quite early, romance just won't happen that early. This is going to be a longer novel that will span hundreds of chapters until its end so I hope you will follow through :) This novel contains adventure and r18 themes, so if you are below 18 years old, I advise you against reading. Anyways I won't babble much about the novel besides these words. I hope you fine people will read the novel, and make your own idea of what I'm writing. Also, I hope you will give me reviews so
Bai Feng looked at the offending arm, stopping him from having the sweet and sour taste of the potato salad, and then craned his neck upward to see that it was one of his childhood friends Xiao Chun!Xiao Chun was very different compared to Bai Feng. He was a tall stalwart man with an impressive physique and he wore a clean grey tunic and clean khaki pants. There was a stark difference between the slob Bai Feng and the clean, neat, and strong Xiao Chun. Most of the women couldn't stop glancing at Xiao Chun while if their eyes met even one part of Bai Feng they would recoil visibly, even Mu An couldn't help but take a few glances at Xiao Chun.He wasn't that pretty but he was the perfect man in the village, he was strong so he could tile the fields with the bovines and he wasn't that bad looking so every woman found him acceptable.Comparatively speaking Bai Feng was a hobo and Xi
The celestial light shined from the skies as it almost blinded those that looked straight at it.Some of the women even started to cry out in pain as they looked straight at the light and now they were clutching their faces.Mu An averted her gaze from the light but she was still very excited to see the immortal arrive at their humble village. She only knew that her forefathers were the people who interacted with the immortals and they were gifted heavily after they met the immortal, she was wondering what kind of gifts would they get now?Mu An wanted to take a few steps closer as she lifted the chicken-filled plates over her head wanting to offer them directly to the immortal, even forgetting that her brother was currently in a brawl with the sheriff. She loved her brother dearly, but an immortal was descending directly in front of her so she couldn't help but choose the immort
The old man's words made all of the crowd start worrying as they whispered to each other:"Bad news? What could it be?""The immortal said that it will affect all of us…""Let's hope that it won't affect your livelihood…""Shut up the immortal seems to want to say something!"The old man cleared his throat as he waited for the villagers to stop whispering to each other, then said:"It's unfortunate to say this but whatever you have gotten from the immortal in the past you will have to give back now!"Every villager became panicked as they understood the meaning behind the words of the old man. They were supposed to give back the blessings that the immortal gave to their ancestors! Those blessings were the things that kept the village up and running, without them they realized that th
Bai Feng was thoroughly disappointed at the notion of giving his magical silver box away. After he knew that it was the source of his delicious chicken, he never wanted to give it away!No matter how tired or bored he got of eating the chicken, that didn't mean he didn't enjoy it anymore. To him. The chicken was the ultimate dish that he enjoyed carefully after eating it so much over the years. How could he let go of such a delicacy? How could he let go of his treasure?Mu An knew that it would be really hard. To convince him when he was like this. She wasn't sure what she could tell Bai Feng to make him give her the box so she could present it to the lord immortal. She knew that it would be dumb to anger an immortal who easily took out two fully grown men with one sandal. But it seemed Bai Feng's belly was clouding his mind.Or he didn't care?Mu An slowly got closer to him, which made him try to back off as he k
The younger girl that was 13 years old was the first to bellow in awe:"A flying rug? That's so cool!"The immortal smiled proudly as he patted his rug once more. It was both long enough and wide enough to handle all of the new youths that he had selected for the sect's tests.Bai Feng would lie if he said he wasn't impressed with the flying rug. He actually had the impulse of jumping on it and making it go high in the skies, he wasn't sure why, but he just felt like doing it.Even the serious and level-headed Mu An had this kind of impulse as her expression resembled her brother's.The immortal looked down at the table, which still held all of the items that the villagers returned. He patted the rug two times before the items on the table started to levitate towards it.Then the items slowly landed on the rug and entered it, disappearing thoroughly! It was as if they were never there!Every villager made 'ooh' and ah's
The rug stopped above a certain mountain, high around the peak of it, snow was slowly raining down from the top of the clouds- and onto Bai Feng and the others as they looked around with wonder. It was a very magical scene, but this was just the start. As the clouds in front of them parted, a small paradise was revealed to them- at the top of the mountain.Small palaces were placed around 100 meters away from each other. At the top of every palace, there was a sign that showed what those palaces contained. There were both young and aged people walking around, taking in the natural sights, before looking at the palace signs and entering the chosen palace. The strange thing was that most of the people present wore different outfits with different insignias pinned at their chests. Some people wore matching outfits and insignias, but they were mostly walking in groups, and it looked like no one knew much about the other. It was like all of these people
Bai Feng watched as the door of the residence closed in his face, and Shredder's slave grabbed him again by the ponytail to take him to the kitchen of this place.Bai Feng felt this position was rather awkward as he used his sleazy ponytail to make it fall out of the slave's grasp. The slave was surprised at how greasy Bai Feng's hair was, then he looked at his hand and grimaced. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to touch Bai Feng at all.He wanted to clear his dirty hand somewhere, but there was nothing that could be used around, so he put his hand on the ground, trying to get rid of the greasy feeling with some dirt.Bai Feng found this situation to be familiar, so he waited for the man to finish. However, if he knew where the kitchen was and if he was also allowed there without the slave, he wouldn't have waited for him as he wasted a good time when he could have been stuffing his face.He couldn't wait for more as his stomach started to rumble
The situation was extremely awkward as the girl forgot what she had to say. She covered her face with her palms as she got as red as a boiling lobster and angrily shouted at Bai Feng:"Cover yourself, you damn animal!"Even though she said that with conviction. She couldn't help but peek between her fingers once at Bai Feng's lower body, Bai Feng became embarrassed, but he couldn't say anything underwater, and he was also running out of air, so he tried to swim up.The blue-haired girl was quite embarrassed by what happened, so she didn't stop him from swimming up, even though she did want to stop him as he polluted her river.Bai Feng swam up and took another gulp of air as he sighed and looked down at the water:"Why would she drag me down? Actually, why can she talk underwater?"Bai Feng was full of questions, but considering his location, he just took her as a water spirit of some sort that might have been offended by his act of taking a
