Bai Feng looked at the offending arm, stopping him from having the sweet and sour taste of the potato salad, and then craned his neck upward to see that it was one of his childhood friends Xiao Chun!
Xiao Chun was very different compared to Bai Feng. He was a tall stalwart man with an impressive physique and he wore a clean grey tunic and clean khaki pants.
There was a stark difference between the slob Bai Feng and the clean, neat, and strong Xiao Chun.
Most of the women couldn't stop glancing at Xiao Chun while if their eyes met even one part of Bai Feng they would recoil visibly, even Mu An couldn't help but take a few glances at Xiao Chun.
He wasn't that pretty but he was the perfect man in the village, he was strong so he could tile the fields with the bovines and he wasn't that bad looking so every woman found him acceptable.
Comparatively speaking Bai Feng was a hobo and Xiao Chun was prince charming!
And Xiao Chun wasn't in the wrong here, they haven't even started the ceremony to thank the immortal who gave them the blessings which let their village prosper until now, but Bai Feng already seated himself at the table and went ahead to eat? This showed that he had no respect for the lord immortal that practically gave them their lives!
How could they have lived so well without the blessings on their crops and animals? There would have been instances where they would have even starved to death as this happened occasionally before the lord immortal blessed them hundreds of years ago.
Some of the women who brought the food started to shout:
"Xiao Chun go and rearrange his face for disrespecting the Lord Immortal, maybe you would make him less unattractive!"
Another of the women butted in:
"Yeah, Xiao Chun show him why you got those muscles of yours!"
"Teach him to not disrespect our Lord Immortal ever again, bash his fat face in!"
"Yeah!"
"Yeah!"
"Yeah!"
Xiao Chun looked at Bai Feng and tightened the grip over his left wrist as he said:
"You goddamn fatty, you eat since I know you and you can't even suppress yourself at this sacred festival?"
Bai Feng didn't like the things that were being said to him but the potato salad in front of him was winking to him at this point and since his left hand was unusable at this moment his right hand slowly inched towards the potato salad as if he didn't hear anything that was yelled at him.
It's been quite a long time since he had different varieties of food and he just couldn't stop himself.
Xiao Chun frowned as he clamped his right hand on Bai Feng's right wrist and kept him there tightly from behind, he tried to drag him away from the table only to realize that the young man was so heavy that even he with his stalwart physique was unable to move him forcefully!
He took a few steps backward trying to drag Bai Feng with him but he was still unable to, how was the stool Bai Feng stood on still standing up?
It made no sense!
If he was so heavy the stool wouldn't have been able to bear his weight and it would have broken by now.
No matter what Xiao Chun did he couldn't move him from the table and as he clamped his hands on his wrists he started to feel that Bai Feng was going to drag him around!
This slobby fat guy was gonna drag him? That should be impossible!
However the next moment he thought that he felt his body starting to get up into the air as Bai Feng got up from the table by himself.
This action made every person around have their jaws drop to the ground.
Bai Feng looked behind him and seeing how Xiao Chun was still clamping on his wrists he slowly said:
"Come on man, I thought we were friends, why don't you just let me eat my food."
If a needle dropped to the ground right now its sound could be heard as clearly as possible since everyone became mute at Bai Feng's words.
Xiao Chun frowned as he continued to tighten his grip then he suddenly felt his world rolling around him as he was flipped like an omelet by Bai Feng.
Bai Feng just lifted his hands over his head but the force from that action threw Xiao Chun away like he was a rolling barrel.
He rolled for a few meters before he stopped because his head hit the festival's ceremonial bell, making it ring very loudly.
Everyone's faces turned as dark as the bottom of a pot as they glared at Bai Feng, the bell was supposed to be rung only when they were going to start to eat and only after they had all said their thanks to the immortal!
Some of them even wanted to go and strangle him but seeing how the strong Xiao Chun was rolled on his back and flipped around like an omelet they decided against antagonizing Bai Feng no matter how angry they were with his actions, this was the first time Bai Feng ever fought back, most of the time he would let himself take a beating with his head down.
Bai Feng went back to the table as he started with the potato salad, stuffing his face like usual even his sister Mu An couldn't help but look in a different direction hoping the others wouldn't blame her for his actions.
Xiao Chun's head was ringing as he got away from the bell and got up, he then started to walk back towards Bai Feng only to fall as if he was drunk.
The bell-ringing did a number on his balance as he tried to get back up only to fall again.
But Bai Feng didn't get enough time to stuff his face, while Xiao Chun was one of the stronger men in the village he wasn't the only one and the importance of the festival was rather high among people of all ages, not only the youth.
Mu An started shaking as she saw the law enforcement team get involved, a man with a big belly swayed his way towards the table from the crowd, he had a small hat on his head and he wore a blue shirt with a golden star embedded on it.
The man walked until he was near the table then slowly approached Bai Feng's face as he said:
"Yo youngster, don't you think you are a little impertinent? You even beat the guy who was supposed to save the day and then you go and eat? Who gave you the guts to do this?"
Bai Feng was stuffing his face without a care in the world as he was in his world now after he finished the potato salad he moved onto some grilled fish that had been traded from a nearby village.
The moment he tried to bite into the fish the Sherif quickly took the fish out of his hand making Bai Feng almost bite his hand.
Bai Feng glared around until he saw the fish in the sheriff's hand and then bit down strongly, the man got startled as he dropped the fish not thinking that Bai Feng would act in such a way, he thought that he would get scared after he arrived only to see him bite at him as if he was a dog!
The moment he dropped the fish Bai Feng bit directly onto the man's hand leaving bloody teeth marks on it!
The man swore so loud that the whole village heard it:
"DAMN YOUR DEAD MOTHER FOR BIRTHING YOU BAI FENG!"
Mu An put her hand slowly to her mouth as tears started to pour out of her eyes, how could the man say such a thing about their mother?
The moment the man said that about his mother was the single moment that Bai Feng stopped eating up to now, even after he bit the man's hand he still went ahead to eat but when he heard those words he put his chopsticks down and stopped everything.
He got up from the table and glanced directly at the man that was a few heads taller than him, he was still cursing his mother while clutching his wounded hand.
"Damn that whore for birthing you, you damn useless trash, all you do is make trouble by eating and sleeping all day!"
Bai Feng was known by the whole village, 5,000 people weren't many and most of them were looking down on him because of his actions after his parent's death, they thought that he would become a hard-working young man that would support both himself and his sister through the work of the field, he was also very lucky as he inherited the chicken rearing farm, but all he did every day was eat and sleep like an animal!
A lot of people were looking down on him but they never attacked his dead parents because they were respectable people, it was unknown why the sheriff decided to go there and insult the dead woman.
"Mister Sheriff… I can handle being called a fat pig, a loser, a futureless wart, a forever virgin, everything that's aimed at me doesn't hurt me…"
"I learned to live with the insults but you had to go ahead and insult my mother…"
"I cannot forgive you for that!"
Bai Feng got up from the stool he was on and approached the Sheriff as he glared while looking up at him.
"You dare to glare at me you little bitch? Look what you have done to my hand!"
The man glared at Bai Feng as he backhanded him across the face making him fall to the ground like a sack of potatoes, while Bai Feng dealt easily with Xiao Chun when he was pitied against an adult he couldn't do much…
The sheriff made his way to the downed Bai Feng as he started to beat him up, pulling him up by his greasy hair with a disgusted expression as he started to smash his head to the ground.
Then he got up as he dusted his hands only to find some lice on his hands which immediately angered him again and he started to kick the downed youth hard.
However the more he kicked the stranger he felt, he started to feel that he was kicking a steel plate!
One kick after another, his foot hurt as he lost his balance and took two steps backward.
He glared at the downed figure of Bai Feng which started to twitch and he was ready to give him another beating to make him stay down when suddenly pure white light started to shine from the sky as if a divine angel was ready to descend upon these mortal lands.
Some of the women even started to screech:
"It's the Lord Immortal! The Lord immortal finally decided to descend upon our humble village again!"
"Hurray! Hurray!"
Everyone was happy that the immortal arrived, only Bai Feng was still trying to get up from his downed position and try to fight it out with the Sheriff.
The celestial light shined from the skies as it almost blinded those that looked straight at it.Some of the women even started to cry out in pain as they looked straight at the light and now they were clutching their faces.Mu An averted her gaze from the light but she was still very excited to see the immortal arrive at their humble village. She only knew that her forefathers were the people who interacted with the immortals and they were gifted heavily after they met the immortal, she was wondering what kind of gifts would they get now?Mu An wanted to take a few steps closer as she lifted the chicken-filled plates over her head wanting to offer them directly to the immortal, even forgetting that her brother was currently in a brawl with the sheriff. She loved her brother dearly, but an immortal was descending directly in front of her so she couldn't help but choose the immort
The old man's words made all of the crowd start worrying as they whispered to each other:"Bad news? What could it be?""The immortal said that it will affect all of us…""Let's hope that it won't affect your livelihood…""Shut up the immortal seems to want to say something!"The old man cleared his throat as he waited for the villagers to stop whispering to each other, then said:"It's unfortunate to say this but whatever you have gotten from the immortal in the past you will have to give back now!"Every villager became panicked as they understood the meaning behind the words of the old man. They were supposed to give back the blessings that the immortal gave to their ancestors! Those blessings were the things that kept the village up and running, without them they realized that th
Bai Feng was thoroughly disappointed at the notion of giving his magical silver box away. After he knew that it was the source of his delicious chicken, he never wanted to give it away!No matter how tired or bored he got of eating the chicken, that didn't mean he didn't enjoy it anymore. To him. The chicken was the ultimate dish that he enjoyed carefully after eating it so much over the years. How could he let go of such a delicacy? How could he let go of his treasure?Mu An knew that it would be really hard. To convince him when he was like this. She wasn't sure what she could tell Bai Feng to make him give her the box so she could present it to the lord immortal. She knew that it would be dumb to anger an immortal who easily took out two fully grown men with one sandal. But it seemed Bai Feng's belly was clouding his mind.Or he didn't care?Mu An slowly got closer to him, which made him try to back off as he k
The younger girl that was 13 years old was the first to bellow in awe:"A flying rug? That's so cool!"The immortal smiled proudly as he patted his rug once more. It was both long enough and wide enough to handle all of the new youths that he had selected for the sect's tests.Bai Feng would lie if he said he wasn't impressed with the flying rug. He actually had the impulse of jumping on it and making it go high in the skies, he wasn't sure why, but he just felt like doing it.Even the serious and level-headed Mu An had this kind of impulse as her expression resembled her brother's.The immortal looked down at the table, which still held all of the items that the villagers returned. He patted the rug two times before the items on the table started to levitate towards it.Then the items slowly landed on the rug and entered it, disappearing thoroughly! It was as if they were never there!Every villager made 'ooh' and ah's
The rug stopped above a certain mountain, high around the peak of it, snow was slowly raining down from the top of the clouds- and onto Bai Feng and the others as they looked around with wonder. It was a very magical scene, but this was just the start. As the clouds in front of them parted, a small paradise was revealed to them- at the top of the mountain.Small palaces were placed around 100 meters away from each other. At the top of every palace, there was a sign that showed what those palaces contained. There were both young and aged people walking around, taking in the natural sights, before looking at the palace signs and entering the chosen palace. The strange thing was that most of the people present wore different outfits with different insignias pinned at their chests. Some people wore matching outfits and insignias, but they were mostly walking in groups, and it looked like no one knew much about the other. It was like all of these people
Bai Feng watched as the door of the residence closed in his face, and Shredder's slave grabbed him again by the ponytail to take him to the kitchen of this place.Bai Feng felt this position was rather awkward as he used his sleazy ponytail to make it fall out of the slave's grasp. The slave was surprised at how greasy Bai Feng's hair was, then he looked at his hand and grimaced. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to touch Bai Feng at all.He wanted to clear his dirty hand somewhere, but there was nothing that could be used around, so he put his hand on the ground, trying to get rid of the greasy feeling with some dirt.Bai Feng found this situation to be familiar, so he waited for the man to finish. However, if he knew where the kitchen was and if he was also allowed there without the slave, he wouldn't have waited for him as he wasted a good time when he could have been stuffing his face.He couldn't wait for more as his stomach started to rumble
The situation was extremely awkward as the girl forgot what she had to say. She covered her face with her palms as she got as red as a boiling lobster and angrily shouted at Bai Feng:"Cover yourself, you damn animal!"Even though she said that with conviction. She couldn't help but peek between her fingers once at Bai Feng's lower body, Bai Feng became embarrassed, but he couldn't say anything underwater, and he was also running out of air, so he tried to swim up.The blue-haired girl was quite embarrassed by what happened, so she didn't stop him from swimming up, even though she did want to stop him as he polluted her river.Bai Feng swam up and took another gulp of air as he sighed and looked down at the water:"Why would she drag me down? Actually, why can she talk underwater?"Bai Feng was full of questions, but considering his location, he just took her as a water spirit of some sort that might have been offended by his act of taking a
Bai Feng could feel the familiar smell becoming more and more distinct in his senses. It was almost as if some of his memories were being replayed in front of him.The scene of his sister cooking chicken for him while he kept his thumb in his mouth while drooling like a dog.It was almost as if the fried chicken from before was being waved below his nose and tempting him to open his mouth and take a bite.Drool started to drip from Bai Feng's mouth as something strange started to happen in his body.Mo Pian's eyes widened as he glanced at Bai Feng's rotund body, which was currently shrinking. His senses told him that Bai Feng didn't absorb any Qi from anywhere nor that his strength was increasing, so why the hell was this happening?Mo Pian's taught technique was given to him by the sect elders. Everyone got the technique as long as they were deemed talented enough, but Mo Pian didn't research much into it.Bai Feng's current situatio
Bai Feng looked down at his hands, he could feel pure power coursing through them, and the bond with the universe that started from his wrist was now exploding through every part of his body. The changes that were made to his whole body weren't describable through words alone. Bai Feng wasn't sure how to feel, but he could sense that he had reached the maximum strength possible that the universe could withstand. The universe itself told him that he can't break through anymore and that he should go and deal with the Mother of Heavens as soon as possible. While he had been reborn, his second heart didn't grow back, whatever the Mother had used to deal that blow to Bai Feng seemed to be permanent. Bai Feng could sense a small hole in the tower that was his foundation, which meant that his power wasn't perfect, but now that he practically reached the same cultivation realm as the Mother of Heaven, they were sharing the power the universe was bestowing upo
Bai Feng and Shirbo were teaming up on the fusion while Sharley, Sylph, and Chen Lingxi were fighting with the army of guards. And they were trying to destroy the strengthened formations at the same time, or at least disable them.Bai Feng didn't have time to watch what his friends were doing, so he hoped that all those preparations they made would pay off. This was the penultimate battle!Bai Feng breathed in as he dodged a fiery lightning bolt that came too close for comfort before rotating his hand like a chainsaw and striking forwards, trying to break off the armor from the fusion's body. But a wall of frozen wood appeared in front of the fusion at the last second, making Bai Feng waste his attack on it, then getting his hand stuck in there as metal started to cover his hand, traveling up to his arm and trying to transform him into a metal statue. But that's when Shirbo came and fully destroyed the wall with his claws, then he tried to strike a
Bai Feng looked at the unconscious Mu An and sighed as he dragged her back into the warehouse. Shirbo was waiting for his return, arms crossed as the others were continuing their breakthroughs. Before he left to fight Mu An, Bai Feng was able to make them a few dishes to keep them occupied. But now, he could finish using all of the resources that were left and let his friends reach their peak. The only problem was Mu An, Bai Feng didn't know any restraining techniques, and he wasn't sure how long she would be unconscious. He already fought her once, and he didn't want to fight her again. There was also the problem with continuing to the fourth warehouse. Once Mu An awake, even if she was restrained, she would do her best to impede their progress. Maybe they could leave her here where it was relatively safe after they restrained her. Bai Feng hoped that Sharley, Sylph, or even Lingxi would have a technique to bind her here.
Mu An's cold expression was extremely foreign to Bai Feng. He had never seen her look like that at him. She always looked at him with a warm expression on her face, smiling at him, or telling him that everything was going to be alright after the death of their parents. Even after they went to the Lin Yong sect, she had sent out one of her guards to protect him from the shadows. But now, it looked like she had no more care for him. She was icier than absolute frost. Colder than the ice core of the planet. The Mother of Heavens was rather happy to see Bai Feng's complicated look on his face as he looked at his sister. Then she coughed as she glanced at her palm for a second before saying: "You didn't think that I would let her remain herself if she became my apostle, did you?" "The copy did mess with my thoughts a bit, but I really do appreciate her talent. It's one in a few trillion that is born with innate star
Bai Feng was scrambling his brains for an idea while waiting for anyone to come up with a plan to enter the warehouse. It was their penultimate training location, and if they couldn't open this one, they would surely fail at the fourth warehouse as well. But the doors were extremely sturdy, and they also stopped his regeneration, so Bai Feng wasn't sure what they could do in this situation. He simply wasn't strong enough to blow the doors open. He wasn't sure from what material the doors were made from, but he was sure that even peak Half-God realm cultivators shouldn't be able to break it open. The thing was too damn sturdy, only the Mother of Heavens should be able to break it open or someone equal to her strength. Someone equal to her strength... No individual was that strong, but there was someone equal to her! And Bai Feng had contact with that being! He glanced down at his tattooed wrist, with the help of the univ
Bai Feng was having quite a bit of trouble fighting 1v2. The Herus fusion, and The lightning apostle fusion were giving him a run for his money. Not like he was taking damage or anything like that, but he was being kept in place as he fought back and forth with them.It was quite annoying not having enough time to penetrate through Herus's defenses before the lightning apostle would blast him with a fused attack of lightning, wind, and water. Then Herus would try to wrestle with him. Of course, even as a fusion, their strength wasn't enough to have a close-quarters fight with Bai Feng. The only reason Bai Feng hadn't finished them off yet was because of their annoying tactics and the fact that they had regenerative capabilities that resembled those of a body cultivator. It looked like their powers were getting quite the boost while they were near The Mother of Heavens' base. Not like it mattered, Bai Feng was getting annoyed as he continued
Bai Feng and his team had the upper hand, but that didn't mean they were winning. The guards and formations weren't meant to defend the warehouse, but to delay the attackers by constantly slowing them down, so the apostles could come and team up with the formation and guards.Bai Feng knew that lingering around here was going to be a bad idea, plus, the original was alerted now, so that meant the third and fourth warehouses were going to be extra defended, and they would have to fight some apostles for sure.He wasn't sure if she was going to descend personally, but there was a chance that could happen as well unless the copy had an ace under its sleeve that she didn't say anything about for a situation like this.Bai Feng liked surprises, and he hoped he would be surprised.Bai Feng whistled, making his team take a formation as they hastily dodged to the side.Bai Feng's muscles became extremely defined as veins popped up on his whole arm w
Their arrival at the second warehouse was the same as at the first. They didn't attract any attention from the guards or formations. They hid perfectly according to the copy's instructions, then they waited for the guards and formations to be turned off.Unfortunately, this time around, it didn't work as perfectly as before. The first problem came with Bai Feng. While he waited, he realized that he was slowly being scanned by something, and if he stayed in the same place, he would surely be found. He didn't understand why that was happening, but he moved away from the area that could be scanned. This triggered a guard to come closer, making it suspicious of what happened. While the guards weren't real people and were made artificially, that didn't mean they didn't have intelligence. They were all pretty smart and understood that something had been near the scanning area of the second warehouse, they didn't see what it was, but they realized
It didn't take Bai Feng much time to call everyone over.Sylph and Sharley, Lingxi, and with him they would be 4, there was Shirbo as well, making them a total of 5, and Bai Feng invited him over for some food before they left the planet.Bai Feng coughed, making all of the combatants look at him. Shirbo was stuffing his face while the other three were rather serious as they awaited Bai Feng's words.Bai Mu and Sally were doing their best training while Luo Gang and Mo Pian were making more food for Shirbo."As you guys know, I have been contacted by my inside friend, and I have gained the location of the warehouses that we can raid for the resources we need."Bai Feng shared the coordinates with all of them, then he explained how space travel worked. After that, he told them the plan that the copy had created, word for word. He insisted that they should memorize it, and do exactly as it said for their safety. The others found the pla
