Ch 16: A innocent Village attack at night

On nightlies an innocent village filled with men, women, children, and the elderly.

This is where these people live and not far from them is a small army of men equipped with armor and a weapon.

These men have come to attack this innocent yet in their hearts, they are not sure they can do it.

Loren can see that as he is at the front on his horse along with King Garland.

“Do you truly think these men would do it because I take a look at them and see they may not be up to the job?”

“They will do it, I have picked these men and promised them a reward for what they give to them.”

“Yet do you think they can be silent after this, I am sure my men will as they don’t ask questions and obey.”

Loren looked at King Garland, noticing the sad expression on his face.

“Please Prince Loren there must be another way that I can prove myself to you. These are my people that live in that Village.”

“That is why I am making you do this, what better way than to make a king take the lives of his people? It will surely prove to me that you are committed to the plan.”

The king then becomes silent and Loren turns his head back to look at the men standing behind.

“Nonetheless it must be done.”

-------------------------------------------

A few hours early Loren along with Cecelia, Angelina, and Enidut Pathwarrior were in a room with King Garland and one royal guard.

Loren notices that this royal guard is a female, one he believes to be the king's secret lover.

Thanks to Dlioar Swordcarver, he was able to learn a lot about her starting with the name Rachelle Wilder.

“So I have been called by you king Garland that means you have come to a decision.”

“Yes, but they must be here.”

“You do not need concern for King Garland; they know what I plan since they were brought as slaves and now they are no longer slaves, but are important people to me which means I trust them with anything.”

Each of them was happy to hear Loren say that, but the royal guard standing didn’t seem so pleased with it.

“Yet I on the other hand might not be so at ease about her being here with us.”

“Me being here is something you don’t need to concern yourself with either prince.”

The girl behind Loren was happy with her attitude towards him, but he didn't pay mind to it.

“Please Rachelle be silent, I agree for you to be here, but not to speak.”

The king tells her and so she becomes quiet.

“Now Prince Loren there is no reason for yourself as well to be worried Rachelle here took her job series and wanted to be here to keep doing her job.”

Loren laughed a little like the king just told a joke.

“Does she think, I plan to kill you, King Garland, why would I do that when this man is going to be my father one day, but never mind that as we important matter to discuss right and that you tell me what your answer is.”

“Right to what we discussed before, my answer to that is yes, I will join you on your plan for this kingdom and your fathers.”

Loren smiled as he already knew what King Garland's answer would be but still felt lovely to hear it.

“Good to know that king Garland agreed to join me, but before we can truly begin there is something that you would have to do first.”

“And what would that be, Prince Loren?”

“It will require you to truly do something not easy for a king like yourself to do yet, I have to ask you for you king Garland to show me your commitment otherwise, I will feel like I waste my time on a person like you.”

King Galand began to worry about what Loren is about to ask him as the man has a gut feeling it can not be anything good.

“So what I am asking is that I require you to attack one of your villages.”

--------------------------------------

Now as King Garland looks at the village in front of him, he starts to regret it and Loren can see that meaning he is going to have to make the men give the sign before he has second thoughts.

“King Garland gives the sign for your men to attack now, I know it is a hard thing to do, but trust me you forget about this soon, once your enemies start to fall to their knees and beg for mercy.”

Hearing Loren says that does make the man feel a little at ease looking forward to a day like that.

“Very well let us start.” the king said as he raised a hand and brought it down as mean to the men to attack.

It only took a minute, but the men began to move soon towards the village.

Loren did the same to the men that came with him nodding towards them as they understood and began moving as well.

“So it begins no one in that village will be able to live another day as I have made sure of that.”

Loren watches the men match their way towards the village and soon the loudest screams can be heard through the night.

Not long ago there were fires set on the villagers' houses that could be seen.

Loren didn’t stay behind instead he made his way inside that Village getting off his horse and walking around watching the men doing their job.

He sees them slaughter these innocent people who have never done anything wrong to deserve this.

Their bodies fall lifelessly to the hard cold ground as the blood spills onto it.

While Loren was just walking around calmly, one villager ran up to him.

“Please!, please help us!.” a young girl begs and clings onto Loren.

He can see tears coming down her face and the fear in her eyes.

“Please stop them from….” Loren shh the girl putting a finger against her lips.

Then hug the girl holding her in his embrace.

“It will be alright just close your eyes and think of this as a bad dream,” Loren whispers to her ear.

At that moment the young girl felt something sharp enter her back and couldn’t break free from Loren's hold.

Soon the poor girl couldn’t move anymore as her life was leaving her body.

Loren then slowly removes the dagger he stabs her with from the beck and carefully lays the girl on the ground.

“Forgive me for this, but innocent blood must be spilled on the path, I’ll walk.”

All villagers were dead as Loren had the men bring the bodies to him, laying them side by side together.

“Alright now you and your men can leave,” Loren tells King Garland.

The man wanted to say a word back but didn’t instead obey Loren knowing what he was about to do and did not want to see it.

So King Garland left while his men followed, leaving Loren his guard alone in a destroyed village.

“Well, time to start raising the dead tonight.”
