After leaving the registry building, Joana didn't want to go straight home. She drove Bill to a place that turned out to be an amusement park.

"Are you serious about coming here?" Bill asked with some surprise.

"Yes. You remember when we were kids, we often wanted to go to amusement parks, but we never did." Joana said.

Bill was silent for a moment. Memories of their childhood in the orphanage flashed through his head, like a movie playing back.

"But weren't you adopted by a well-established family after that? There's no way your foster parents never took you to an amusement park, right?" Bill asked.

"Of course they did. But it would have been different without you," Joana said.

"You speak as if I were your soul mate, Jo." Bill said.

A crunchy laugh immediately came out of Joana's mouth.

"That's true, too. People who hear it can misunderstand." Joana confirmed with a chuckle. "Never mind, let's go and have fun!"
