Bill and Joana's walk that day ended with them having dinner together at a simple roadside restaurant. This time, they both ate a Chinese dish, soup dumplings with special spices.

"That was really fun. Before, I thought my week-long leave would be very boring, but luckily I met you. Thanks to you, I got to do a lot of interesting things," Joana said as she munched on her dumplings.

"Is coming to the registry office also on that list of interesting things?" asked Bill.

"Hahaha... it could be." Joana replied casually.

"Didn't you say you were going to tell me about your life after adoption? I'd like to know why you never showed up at the orphanage once, when you promised me and the caretaker that you'd visit often."

Joana paused for a moment, then quickly finished her food in silence. Bill who saw the change in his friend's face became a little uncomfortable. He felt like he had said the wrong thing.

"Finish your food first. Before I tell you, I want to take you somewhere." Joana finall
