CHAPTER SEVENTY TWO

Victor had tried to let the memories of Mr Thompson's harsh and cruel confrontation to slide under the carpet, but the fact that he had threatened to slap him for trying to calm him down and explain their predicament made him infuriated at each thought as they replayed in his mind time and time again.

What would have happened if I was not rich? What would people have said if I didn't have the means to arrest the tumultuous situation? What would have been the mental state of my mother if our belongings were thrown out? How would she have been able to cope with the overly unbearable cold outside?

These were questions that flooded his mind. This however made him come to the conclusion that Mr Thompson was a hardened devil, not only that, he was determined to humble him by breaking him and if it was going to bring into nothingness his arrogance and stoney heart, Victor considered it a worthy effort.
