“Yeah, that’s me,” he replied, crossing his arms defiantly. “And you’d better have a good reason for barging into my place.”

Dexter stepped forward, holding his ground. “We need to talk about the Syndicate. We’re here to help you.”

Jasper raised an eyebrow, his expression shifting to one of skepticism. “Help? From a bunch of kids? I don’t think so.”

“Listen,” Dexter said, keeping his voice calm but firm. “We know the Syndicate is after you. We’re not your enemies. If you have any information about them, now’s the time to share it.”

“Why would I trust you?” Jasper shot back, glancing at the door as if weighing his options.

“Because if you don’t, they’ll come for you,” Clara interjected, her tone more urgent. “They know you went rogue, and they won’t stop until they silence you for good.”

Jasper’s demeanor shifted slightly. “You have no idea what they’re capable of,” he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck as if the weight of the situation was sinking in. “Why do you think I left?”
