Chapter 9

"Ha... ha... ha ...." Samuel awoke with a ragged breath.

It was a bad dream where Samuel was being held by someone. From the sound of his voice, it sounded like a man.

Who, huh? Samuel had heard this voice before.

Wait, now is not the time to think about that. Samuel had to check the recorder. Maybe this dream was a sign of something.

"Hey, kid!" yelled the guard who saw Samuel running even though he had just woken up.

Damn it, Samuel didn't want to say hope or anything related to hope. But now he felt like saying it.

He was afraid that the dream would come true.

If it came true, what would Samuel do next? Change to another plan? Or continue with some modifications?

Samuel had many things on his mind as he ran. About the plan failing, or worse. Getting expelled from school.

"Hey, run with your eyes! Tsk, my book fell!" shouted the student who was hit by Samuel.

"Sorry, I'll replace it with food next time. I'm in a hurry!" shouted Samuel, still moving forward.

Wait, that sound?

Samuel stopped suddenly and looked back. The student from earlier was no longer there. So fast that Samuel hadn't gotten very far.

Who is he? Samuel has not seen the face of the dreamlike voice. Just a first name, Clayton.

Even that was a little vague.

"Who is this boy? Why did he come to my dream? It can't be an ordinary dream. Something is implied, whether he is an enemy or an ally... I have to find out.

Before I do, I need to get to the infirmary."  Samuel continued walking.

Unnoticed in the distance, the boy who had bumped into him earlier appeared from behind the wall. He smiled slightly as he said something. Samuel, huh? I finally got to meet you."

Fortunately, there was no one around when Samuel entered the medical room. Professor Geni, who was usually here, was nowhere to be found. Probably teaching or something.

Samuel didn't have to think about that.

"This is it! The equipment is still here, so what about the dream? The boy too?" asked Samuel, taking the recording device that was still in place.

His mind started to think of bad things. Suppose the boy had evil intentions or more than that. Samuel had to be aware of his surroundings.

You can't just act. There are many enemies here. Even the slightest discovery will be fatal.

The dregs of Samuel's revenge could not continue.

"Put an apple on his head, we have to show the others how to use magic properly. We are a group," Claude said, ordering the other students to place an apple on Samuel's head.

Ah, Samuel had forgotten. He was just a bullied student. Not rich or powerful like the other students.

No matter what, Samuel couldn't get in front of them.

"W-what's okay? Professor Aiza is over there teaching another group. What if she sees this?"

"If that girl sees, what can she do? She's just a human looking for money. No one wants to deal with the Denmous family, including you, right? Hurry up and do it before I finish you off!" Claude ordered.

Not if, but Professor Aiza was already looking in that direction. The place where Samuel was bullied.

Even the classroom was no safe place.

Samuel wanted to kill them all. Tearing the body parts into pieces, seeing the eyes of blood and screaming.

Nothing more than what Samuel felt right now.

"He-help, forgive me! I won't do anything stupid anymore. I will never be seen before you. Please don't torture me!" Samuel cried with a shaking body.

He looked so scared.

"Even in class? Will you not go to class because of me? Why don't you just leave the academy? We only accept smart students here, not stupid ones like you!" Claude threw the apple he was holding at Samuel's forehead.

It hit the mark. Samuel's face turned to the side, right into the face of Clara, the walking professor. It didn't take long for Claude to pull his hair back and look up.

They were in an open training room. There was only an invisible wall made of magic to make it easier for people to help if something happened.

Was that really the case?

Right now, Samuel was in trouble, but not a single person helped. Neither passersby nor the professor himself.

This situation only strengthened Samuel's intention to destroy everyone in the academy.

"I-I can't leave the Academy, I want to be strong too. What's wrong with wanting to be strong? Now that the country is at war, what if we lose? A person is indispensable in battle, please, just this once."

Bugh!

Bugh!

"What kind of nonsense is this? What country needs a fool like you?! So many wishes already, so annoying. I really want to kill you!" Claude continued to hit Samuel.

Samuel cowered to protect his head from Claude's kicks. He also continued to beg for mercy in a crying voice.

Could Claude be held accountable for his words? Didn't any country want someone like Samuel?

The glasses Samuel was wearing were kicked by Claude. Again they were smashed by the same person.

For the second time.

Samuel did not make any meaningful expression. He just stared at the glasses with vacant eyes. But Clara noticed from a distance.

The girl was struggling to swallow saliva. She saw Samuel's gaze like a monster waiting to devour its prey. It was so frightening that Clara unconsciously took a step back.

Clara had to be careful with Samuel.

"You're here, this is the evidence you can use to bully Millena. Do you want to hear it together?" Samuel asked facing Clara.

Samuel's uniform was quite wrinkled, he had a bruise on his cheek, but his glasses were still intact. He looked like he had just bought a new pair.

"Why are you looking at me like that? I know that you noticed what happened yesterday. There's no need to explain, is there? We're just partners in crime."

"Damn, who asked for an explanation anyway? Follow me, we'll listen to the tape in my special room." Clara stepped out first.

Samuel followed close behind. Without saying anything or making a move. Just walking.

Actually, before coming here, Samuel had heard one sentence from the tape. It made him want to listen to it together.

It wouldn't be as exciting if he heard it alone.

The sentence was, "I will tell the principal that you and Samuel have a romantic relationship.

"This is the room I have rented, if there is anything, you can enter this room first and then put the letter on the table. Only you and I can enter freely." Clara opened the door.

"Delete that," Samuel said as he entered the room.

"What?"

"The access that allows me to enter freely. Isn't our relationship over after that? No greeting each other or showing that we know each other. We have to, right?"
