Nicholas's phone beeped, receiving a message from the bank. 

(Our esteemed customer, Your attention is needed in the bank for an account upgrade for the 10,000,000 that just entered into your bank account) 

Nicholas read the message and jumped off the bed immediately, removing the drip connected to him. He changed from a hospital dress to his dress, and as he was about to leave, the nurse came in. 

"Where are you going? you haven't fully recovered," The nurse said, holding a tray with medications and a file. 

"I need to go, I'm okay," Nicholas said and dashed off. 

"But... Wait, Mr." The nurse called after him but he was already gone. 

Nicholas took a taxi to the bank where he settled the issue about the money then from there he went to the pawn shop to get his golden ring. 

The pawn shop owner smiled when he saw Nicholas. 

"Do you have another valuable item to sell, poor child, you must badly need money" The pawn shop owner said, cleaning a golden watch with a napkin. 

"Everyone needs money," Nicholas said, lowering his head. 

"Yeah, so what have you brought this time, a necklace, diamond or another ring, I will give you a discount, The last one you sold, I bought it at a giveaway price but it won't happen this time, if you don't agree with my price, you take your leave." He said with a mischievous smile. 

"After all you are so poor and you badly need money so you should settle for anything." 

Nicholas raised his head and burst out in laughter, the pawn shop owner joined him in laughter not knowing exactly why Nicholas was laughing. 

"I came to buy the ring" Nicholas spilled the beans. 

"What!" The pawn shop owner was taken aback. 

He later comported himself and leaned towards Nicholas, then whispered to his ears "Which ring?"

"The one I sold to you," Nicholas said with a stern look. 

"Ha ha, you came back to redeem your golden ring, well, the price went up and I don't think a pauper will be able to afford it," He said, looking at Nicholas from head to toe. With his ripped faded jeans, slack top, old and cheap palm his outdated phone, where will someone dress like him see money to redeem the golden ring? 

"How much are you selling it?" Nicholas asked. 

"Ahem, "He cleared his throat. 

"$200,000," The pawn shop owner said. 

"That's ridiculous!" Nicholas exclaimed. 

"I sold it for $120,000, why am I buying it for $200,000?" 

"I already told you that the price went up" 

"Within how many hours, It's not even up to 3 hours!" Nicholas yelled. 

"Calm down, are you buying it or not? I have another interested buyer, I already know you wouldn't be able to buy it"The pawn shop owner adjusted his eyeglasses. 

"This is pure cheating!" Nicholas slammed his hand on the desk. 

"I can sell it for $170,000 last price, that's all I can do" 

"Never mind, I will buy it" 

The shop owner looked at him in a skeptical way "Installment is not allowed" 

"I'm paying in full"

He frowned "$170,000? In full?" 

"Nope, I'm paying $200,000 in full" Nicholas started. 

"Wait what!" His eyes wilded. 

Did he win the lottery, shit! I should have charged him more like $300,000.

"Where is the ring?" 

"I have not received payment yet" The pawn shop owner looked away in another direction. 

"Call your account number"

"40xxxxxxxxxx"

"Done." 

He thought Nicholas was just bluffing but he received an alert of $200,000.

"goddamn!" He screamed and looked at Nicholas. 

"My ring?" 

"Here it is." He said, giving him the ring with trembling hands. 

Nicholas checked the golden ring if it was still how he gave him, fortunately, there was nothing wrong with the golden ring. 

He turned to leave but stopped at the door, "What is your name, sir?" 

"Joe, my name is Joe, what about you my friend" 

Nicholas laughed "Oh now I'm your friend. Mr.Joe, I'm sure we will meet one day, and that day I will repay you for your greediness and wickedness, and as for my name..." He paused. 

"You will know it soon by the time you see me on TV "He left and made sure to slam the door hard. 

"My friend wait, wait..."Mr. Joe ran outside but it was too late, Nicholas was gone.

Mr. Joe stood still by his door shocked by what just happened, Nicholas selling his ring due to urgent money and buying it back the same day was something that had never happened before. 

Nicholas's last words scared him, he hurried back inside, packed his items into the inner store, and locked the shop. 

It's 3 pm but he is done for the day. 

Nicholas went back to the hospital, made arrangements, and paid for Sarah to be transferred to a VIP room. Karen was happy but at the same time disturbed about the sudden money. 

Earlier today, he lamented about not having money, he went out and came back with the surgery money, and he also moved her aunt to a VIP room. 

What's going on? 

Nicholas noticed her dull expression and walked towards her. 

"Are you okay?" He asked her. 

Karen jolted back as she wasn't expecting him. 

"Mmm, I want to ask you something," Karen said, sitting on a sofa in the VIP room. 

"I'm all hears"

"Where did you get all the money, it's so strange that you went out and came back with so much money," She said, feeling uneasy. 

"Is that it?" He asked, looking deep into her eyes. 

"Yes," Karen muttered softly, avoiding eye contact with him. 

"I called some of my actors friends and two of them agreed to borrow me some money." He lied.

"This much?" Karen wasn't buying his idea.

"Yes, one of them is extremely rich"

"Still, you can't spend money this way,"

"Why, not"He shrugged. 

"It's borrowed money, you are paying it back, why are you wasting it." 

Nicholas shifted away from her. "I'm not wasting it, I'm allowing it to serve its purpose, I borrowed it because I needed money to pay for Sarah's medical bills which I did." 

Karen sighed. 

"I know but moving her to a VIP room is kinda extra, we should have stayed back in the common room" 

Nicholas was losing it, who is she to question him, she is not his mum, they're not related by anything and she is not his girlfriend. 

"Listen, I didn't spend the money on clubbing, drinking, or shopping, I didn't spend it on gambling, I used it for your aunty's treatment, so why are you reprimanding me? You don't even know me!" Nicholas said, raising his voice at her.

Karen looked at him and said nothing, then she shifted her gaze to her Aunt who was unconscious on the bed. 

Nicholas scratched his hair and turned to the window. 

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to raise my voice" He apologized and left. 

After he left, Karen turned to the door direction, lost in thoughts, maybe he was right.

She doesn't know him yet he did so much by paying for the expensive surgery, she should be grateful not to interrogate him. 

Nicholas took a taxi to a five-star hotel, he paid for one of the VIP rooms there and went in. 

"This is life," He said, immediately after he entered the room, this was the first time he had entered somewhere like this.

He threw himself on the bed and faced the ceiling, his mind went through all that happened from his humiliation days to his death to him awaking a system and now here he was enjoying life at his fullest. 

"knock, knock," Someone said at the door. 

"Yes, who is that?" He stood up to open the door. 

When he opened the four, he gasped, his mouth wide open, he was perplexed on what stood before him.
